USB webcam audio

I use the vision acquisition software NOR to enter and record AVI videos. It works well, but I want to add sound to the video as well. I use a mini usb (ELP-USB100W04H-L170) camera with a built-in microphone.

The acquisition software OR vision and IMAQdx drivers does support audio? How can I solve this?

Kind regards

Paal

This is no doubt another audio device.  I suggest you look at some of the tools of audio and microphone.  I know a couple of ship with LabVIEW, and you will probably find an example or two.

    Hi poslive

To provide you with useful suggestions for workarounds, it s essential to know some more details:
    (1) what laptop have you and what system is preinstalled on this laptop?
    (2) have you installed Windows own system or use the default image factory preinstalled by Toshiba?

You should also check if the webcam is recognized in device properly Manager.

  • Portege R700 - Win7 - cannot find the driver for USB Multimedia Audio Device

Are there any Windows 7 drivers for the "USB Multimedia Audio Device" found on a R700 with the Toshiba Hi Speed Port Replicator II (PA3916U-1PRP)?

In "Devices and printers", there is a device in the section called a + USB Multimedia Audio Device + Unspecified +. Windows 7 can not find the drivers for it. Audio seems to be working through the port replicator.

The only related issue I've seen is that sometimes, when I press the "eject" button, Windows complains that a device is in use and the ejection is defective. This is very similar to that reported as ' [Undock R700 question P3838 |]» http://forums.Toshiba.com/T5/General-troubleshooting/R700-undock-from-P3838-issue/TD-p/149453].

In my case Windows tell me an application to use it or the device in use. I strongly suspect the audio device.

I have not found a solution so eject manually despite the failure or sleep it and then eject manually. I didn't notice the two approaches being necessarily better.

    HI PeterH,

Just a simple question: do you use the preinstalled version of Windows 7 at Toshiba and you have most unknown devices in Device Manager or just this USB Multimedia Audio device?

  • Satellite A660: how to record videos with USB webcam?

I recently bought a Satellite A660, which has a built-in webcam. Using the Toshiba provided video application I can record videos, but I find the clarity and brightness of the rather poor image, even in good lighting.

I have a USB webcam that I plugged in and tested for example in Skype, and he produces images much better under the same conditions. My question is: How can I know Toshiba video application to use instead of the built-in USB webcam? I can't find any settings where I can choose which camera to use.

If this is not possible, do I need to install other video recording software? Windows 7 does not have all the applications where you can simply record a video from a webcam (I thought Windows Move Maker to do that, but apparently not).

I just want to be able to record videos of my USB webcam - any suggestions on the best way to proceed would be welcome.

    Thank you

    Howard

Put I don't think something like this is possible. Pre-installed Camera Assistant Software is obviously designed to work with the built in cam only.
What you need is a third party software that you can use for this application.

Google around a bit and visit a few video forums where you can pick up some info on it.

  • USB & Firewire audio interface ports still work as input and output?

I guess everyone has to start somewhere, even if it is borne by almost everyone I would like to know the answer to my questions, perhaps with good reason, what I don't know is so if the USB ports unique connection and firewire on an audio interface function ALWAYS both as input AND output.  In other words, whenever I read the information about the product on audio interfaces, no matter where I go, it is generally accepted that most people buy their audio interface for RECORDING.  And so when most people talk about connecting their Apple computer, iMac or MacBook Pro, it is generally accepted, they turn to the USB as INPUT.  That's all very well and good.  But in my case, I want to use the USB port as output (not the taken mini) and go into an audio interface that gives me as a symmetric output signal that I can plug my amplified studio monitor (which has only a balanced XLR input). All of the examples I see with audio interfaces address registration and involve the use of the USB on the audio input interface.

So my question is: can one USB port I see on any number of audio interfaces always function both of the inputs and outputs? It takes, but if so, why does any site mention this fact and whey didn't they show in all the diagrams of the audio interface manual hook to studio monitors?  I know what may be obvious to some, but as a user with the intention not to use a piano for a scene while but rather a keyboard/MIDI controller that is attached to the iMac to be able to use the virtual instrument software, I need to go to the controller to the iMac, then the iMac in symmetrical powered monitors. Do the balanced inputs of speakers requires more than a simple adapter to give the President a balanced input.  But nobody talks about audio interfaces usually unless they talk about as a way into the computer to record.  As for my situation? Why don't they include this example?  And why should they assume that novice will automatically KNOW that the usb port, an audio interface will work as an output as if they never EVER mention this example or Setup?  I guess it is to operate in both directions!  But really, I'm crazy to wonder when no one never speaks or shows this configuration? He suggested I buy something similar to a UR22MkII of Steinberg, who has a USB port. Even the Steinberg site speaks only records and so using the USB key as input for use with the recording software. There is no mention of its use out the mac in balanced speaker entries, even in the manual. In fact, it is question is always true for every audio interface manual that I watched, even by other manufacturers! Why they all assume a novice like me (whose money is just as good as money from the experienced user) KNOW that? It's frustrating!

I know that this is not strictly a matter of logic, but I guess, in my view correctly, that a logic user community could be more appropriate to address my question for others communities. If I'm wrong, please help to re-send-the matter.  Thank you.

Sound the interface itself that determines it can send and receive Audio or Midi... not the USB or FW port which both are devices of e/s...

All USB and Midi peripheral FW are inputs and outputs

All the USB and Audio FW are inputs and outputs...

All devices USB or external hardware with a USB port... can handle Midi and Audio...  Some do... Most manipulate just Midi... or just Audio

The Steinberg UR22MkII manages Audio and Midi...

However, I do not recommend USB 2.0 audio devices... There are simply too many cases, problems and questions after the major updates for OS X with such devices especially when they are class compliant (IE without driver), even if the UR22MkII Steinberg is supposed to be compatible 10.11...

View the other may vary... because it's just a personal opinion based on my past experiences both in my studio... and based on the many issues presented here and elsewhere.

I'm sticking with Motu equipment for all my Audio devices... and I use iConnect devices for my Midi needs...

A project I want to do is write a Labview application that would communicate to the Webcam USB and publication of the application in a secure web page, and allowing users to control Labview applications at home, work, and anywhere in the world without having installed on the PC of the Labview software. On the web, users can control the Labview front panel for zoom, annotations, etc. As a surveillance camera the USB Webcam will be detect an object moving, save images when motion was detected, an alarm to alert.

I was wondering if anyone can help me with this.

I have Labview Vision and I can get the USB Webcam streaming images.

I don't know where to find information about the detection of a moving object.

Can someone help me on this please?

    Hi krispiekream!

I guess that your USB camera has the ability to zoom through a control programmatically? If not you should be able to control the camera using a remote facades, which require the LabVIEW runtime engine. Here's a tutorial on the remote Front Panel LV development of Applications: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3277.

With respect to the detection of a moving object, you can take two images and subtract to determine if there was movement in the frame.

    I hope this helps!

You must have installed a Windows 7 64-bit driver (if it exists)
for this. Do you have? Otherwise, navigate to the web site of the camera
manufacturer, search, download and install it.

  • Is it possible to record videos from USB webcam directly into Premiere Pro?

I would get a Logitech C930e USB webcam and record directly in Premiere Pro.

    Is this possible?

And, if it is not possible, is there other programs Adobe I can record videos (leave a USB webcam) and then import the video into Premiere Pro?

    Thank you!

It is not possible.  I'm not aware of any Adobe software for this.

  • 55VL900a TV play Mp4 H264/VAC port USB loses Audio Sync during playback of video

    Hi all...

I have a problem with my TV (55VL900a). I would like to convert all my video media type that both my Ipad and my TV can play. So far I have not been able to find a combination that plays on both.

I'm close, when convert a MP4 (container) file using the Codec H264 / AAC audio, it plays perfectly on my Mac and on my Ipad, but when I play via the USB port on my TV the sound synchronization and progressively worse fate gets more through video, I get. I find a few words on the 70 minutes mark the file becomes a watchable.

Interestingly, when I even convert video to mkv contatiner (also H264 / AAC) is no problem. Plays perfect. What is good in what I used the TV, but bad in that I need two copies of everything, 1 for TV one for the Ipad.

My Question is, is how much the TV is... ? Other people have this problem or is it my that defective TV. ?

Some would like to help... Thank you guys.

    > Interesting fact, when I even convert video to mkv contatiner (also H264 / AAC) no problem

In [Manual VL900A | http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/file/product/manual/5187/55VL900A.pdf] (page 70) you will find a list of files and codecs that are supported in my internal media player formats.

If you want to use the MP4 media format, the codec supported are:
    _ * Video * _
    H.264 (MPEG-4 AVC)
    Part12 MPEG-4: 14
    * Audio _ * _
    MPEG-1/2 Layer 3

  • Equium A60 does not recognize the USB webcam

I just bought a creative vista more webcam and tried to install it on my laptop Equium A60, the software is installed properly and everything but when I connected the webcam to the usb port my laptop didn't recognize it.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall and nothing has changed. Someone has an idea of what could be bad?

    Hello

Sometimes USB devices can be recognized correctly because of the low power from USB ports. Usually, USB devices should work with 500mA of power. It is a standard. But sometimes the USB devices need more than only of 500mA. In this case, you can use an external USB hub with external power supply.

You can also disable the power save option in the device under USB root hub Manager.
You will find a power management tab. Please enter in this tab and disable the option: allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

D this on all the USB root hubs

  • Use of USB Webcam

    Hello

I have been designing an experience for the introductory class in my Department. The idea is to control a system based on color. I had to use a webcam to do this. The problem is that I have a webcam to a 3rd party. Is it possible to use this webcam application? If this is the case, should what driver I download? Finally, how to integrate Vision Assistant with LabVIEW. I need to control the system based on the image capture. I apologize if this seems to be a confused mess. Thanks for any help you can give.

    Hi Andrew!

Would you be interested to sign up for the beta program Vision?  This will include the new driver IMAQdx, which will include the USB driver update.  To register, go to ni.com/beta to register.  I think it would be a good step in you get up and running.  Please, if you have other questions!

  • Adjust the brightness of the USB webcam

    Hello

My goal is to get the stream in real-time to images from a webcam for laptop and change its brightness. I am able to connect with webcam. However, I have get the picture and modify using IMAQ BCGlookup.VI to change the brightness of the image, modified image does not reflect the change. I don't know what I'm missing here. If I use a single image (not USB camera but a single stored image Eg..) JPEG) and use this concept then it works but does not work with the webcam acquired files.

BTW, I have NO vision assistant also installed 2009.

  • I have a solid year Usb webcam (syc8368) and when I try and install the driver for windows 7 it never works. Help, please!

I don't really know how old the webcam is, as this is where I downloaded the driver as the official Web site happy new year seem to take does not support the webcam more: http://www.laptop-gate.com/en/driver-usb-web-cam-solid-year-syc8368/

The driver .inf file indicates "this file contains information for installation of digital cameras NW800 for Windows 98/2000/ME."
Extract the files using a utility like 7zip to a temporary folder. Right click on Setup.exe in the folder and choose Properties. Click on the Compatibility tab, and in the drop-down list, choose either "Windows98 / ME ' or 'Windows 2000 '. Click on apply, OK and then double-click on it to run it.
It may or may not always work; It is a material that is quite old, built originally for Windows 95. Compatibility mode is your best bet, in my opinion.
