USB WITH LABVIEW CONNECTIVITY
All of hell
My first post. Very high level question. I'm working on a product that will have a top (not GPIB) USB interface. I wonder if I can use LabVEIW to connect to the USB interface when even? The product is essentially an adapter so I'll use LabVIEW GPIB connected Instruments to test as a power source, but it would be very useful that my LabVEIW code may also exchange information with the product via the USB interface... As I said, that the USB data would not GPIB will be what we define that it is, but not necessarily GPIB (I guess it could be GPIB, but for the sake of argument lets just say that this is a way of communication, I want to use LabVIEW). If the answer is Yes, can you point me to any resources that could help me?

Hello. Has anyone tried to read the info of the sensor via the port USB Ant + in LabVIEW? I have a code for this kind of work... I use the Dynastream provides driver or create a pilot VISA with VISA Driver Wizard, I get the following errors in the LabVIEW VI "VISA Open:
"The VISA specified resource is not a USB device.
"1073807346 error has occurred when opening VISA. The possible reasons: the given reference of session or the object is not valid. »I tried to use "VISA Defaults" and "Load settings" to the "access mode" of the resource.
Any idea would be appreciated. LabVIEW code is attached. The main program is "Ahad_Vectorfinalpstruct_JFA" in JFA_Mod\Jamie.
Thank you
-JamieHi jfalesi,
This is real engineering Applications to the OR. More information about your project can be useful to help you. You are able to see the device NI Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)? If so, did you do a test? If Yes, this also, try to use VISA test panels to communicate interactively with your task. Before troubleshooting code, it is best to follow these steps to make sure that the computer can indeed connect with the resource.
Good luck!

Client proxy (on USB) with DHCP address assigned IP does not work with FRDM-K64F
Hello
After reading the questions on this forum with a static IP address on the Freescale FRDM-K64F set, I went for a DHCP address, but I can't get the proxy client to work via USB with DHCP connection either.
My console tells me the following:
Time of RTC: sea-2014-01-01 00:07:27
Network initialized
IP address: 10.143.xxx.yyy (xxx and yyy is real numbers, just change them to the forum of letters)
Subnet mask: 255.255.252.0
Gateway: 10.143.xxx.yyy
MAC address: 00: 0C: 00:06:70:00
And when I try o connect with the following command:
java-jar proxy.jar - socket 10.143.xxx.yyy
I get the result without CLI interface and next:
Trying to open the socket with device connection: 10.143.xxx.yyy:2201
[Connected to the Jack: Socket[addr=/10.143.xxx.yyy,port=2201,localport=49605]

I don't know if this topic but my version of java is:
Java version "1.8.0_31".
Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_31 - b13)
Java for 64-bit Server VM (build 25.31 - b07, mixed mode)
Any ideas or am I missing something completely?
Thank you

Hi Andy,.
your log shows that the proxy is connected with the Board of Directors. To start the CLI, you can either provide '-j' have ' touch to the proxy command line or PuTTY simply connect to localhost (raw Protocol, port 65002)

Raspberry PI connected with usb for laptop with Labview
Hello
Please allow me to introduce myself: my name is Bob and I just graduated from the Bachelor of applied science (Physics), in the Netherlands. In education, I followed a course of programming in Labview. However, the course was not very well if I want to start from scratch. (my programming skills are very poor).
My goal is to learn the basics of programming in Labview. I want to measure the temperature with a probe for example and read this in Labview. I need a data acquisition for this system. I have a raspberry PI in my possession and I was wondering if I could use it to read the temperature from the USB port of my laptop using the PI raspberry. Is this possible? And I have to run some sort of program on the raspberry PI? Or I could better use another device (Arduino maybe?).
I hope someone could help me to help me get started with Labview. I'm looking forward to learn how to work with Labview and launch a few projects.
Thanks in advance,
Bob
Are you comfortable with writing code on the invoice, pro forma raspberry? This is where you write the code for the acquisition of data and code to send it on the usb as a RS232 serial port. The LabVIEW program would receive all this and it is a very simple program. There is a tool called Linx box that does all this for the arduino.

Get incremental counter/sound to work along the coast with usb-6008 with labview tia sal22
Hi all
I can get this vi to work if they are distinct from the vi but I can't join them together
Example of my error:
If buffers are set to 0 the freq counter increment works, but no sound
If the buffers are set to 1 the audio works fine but is not increment the Freq counter
If the buffers are attached to more 1 clicks and pops are comingThat's what I'm doing:
(1) have the frequency of increment of my internal sound card to a certain level as .01hz a second until he gets to 20 000 hz(2) use my device usb-6008 daq, which is connected to the same machine to measure the voltage at the same time. (I am in a position very low voltages between 1-5volts)
(3) output to a worksheet text file which will show you:
time in seconds, frequency, voltage
0,400.01,21,400.02,2.5
2,400.03,1
I'm a bit confused about how connect the increment and the audio during the measurements with the usb-6008 housing on the same machine
at the same time and in the same VI.Anyone have any ideas? I'm using labview 8.5
TIA sal22Ha ha you have been deceived by a dynamic thread. Insert a convert from Dynamic Data Express VI (Palette to own: Signal handling screw Express) between the daq read and build the array function. Then it won't work. Now the value in the dynamic data is only converted to a numeric value

The Web of LabVIEW user interface directly to the sensor with Ethernet connection
Hello
Is it possible to connect to the interface user Web of LabVIEW directly to a sensor with Ethernet connection?
By directly, I mean without using any Web Service LabVIEW VI.
Thank you
Marcelo
Hello
The only communication with other devices using the Web user interface designer is through web services, either motorized or not LabVIEW. To connect with a sensor with the generator of the user Web interface without using LabVIEW, the sensing device must be accessible via HTTP and give you a way to read its data using XML web services based on.

Is DAQ Measurement Computing USB - 1608FS compatible with labview?
I have DAQ USB-1608FS from Measurement Computing company, and I was trying to see if it is possible to use
This data acquisition with labview 2012. I tried to download the drivers from their company http://www.mccdaq.com/usb-data-acquisition/USB-1608FS.aspx
but when I tried to use labview in the DAQmx the DAQ tool is not detect it by LabView. So, if anybody out there knows if this data acquisition
really can work with labview, please let me know.
Their driver seems to be ULx http://www.mccdaq.com/daq-software/universal-library-extensions-lv.aspx
and he said that he supports LabVIEW 2012. I suppose you open a sample and the device does not appear? The device is displayed in the Windows Device Manager? It seems that this driver/device will work, there may be just a few questions it initialize properly on your machine (either with Windows or Measurement Computing software). You must be to open a debate on their forums or call their support help line.
Good luck! Let us know some of the above and, of course, let us know if find you the solution.

Trouble with USB-6501 with Labview 8.6 Pro for Mac OS
Hello
I have a unit USB-6501 I try to use with Labview 8.6 for Mac Pro to processor intel.
I have the driver NOR-DAQmx base 3.2 for Mac installed and when I ran "Isdaq", it detects the device and also warned that the firmware needs to be updated. So, I ran the "FWUpdate" for updating the firmware. I double check the Isdaq and it detects the device as "NI USB-6501:"Dev1"(USB0::0x3923:0x718A:014386 B 0: RAW).
Now, when I run Labview 8.6 and DAQmx Base create channel VI and the port of 'physical' wire to the control, nothing appears in the available device.
Also, when I run the mxbaseconfig program, not the existing basic tasks detect the device.
Could someone please help me get this to work? Basically, I need to read and write slow digital data through USB-6501. But, the Labview does not detect the device.
Thank you
Keong,
I do not know what causes this, but place a task create VI before your code and the wire of the output task to the task of entering the chain and try to run that. Please let me know if it works for you.

With LabVIEW how to control an instrument with a RS232 output, using a USB RS232 converter cable, since I do not have rs232 ports. I have two instruments I want for the control in this way. One is a guarantee of strength Imada SPAS with RS232 output. The other is a micrometer Panasonic HL-G103-S-J laser sensor which is RS422. I have done significant programming LabVIEW using GPIB, but I have no experience with devices such as these. No matter what tutorial or examples would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
When you plug the USB-RS-232 converter, it installs a driver under Windows which makes it look like any other RS-232 port. You may need to install the driver of everything that came on the CD with the converter. It will get a Com as Com5 port number according to what is the next available number.

using NI USB 9201 with LabVIEW Real-time
Hello
I try to use a USB of NI 9201 on a remote real-time target. Here's what I did: 1) tricked out of a desktop PC to serve as target RT using the instructions provided on the Web site of NOR. He now starts in an RTOS with LabView RTOS 9.0. (2) I communicated successfully with the help of a host computer that has a windows with LabView 2009 BONE and I installed the software from the computer remote RT target host using ethernet. However, my problem is when I plug NI 9201 USB on the target RT that I do not see the material listed on the devices tab in MAX and interfaces on remote systems. I tried to get the manuals for the HW 9201, but it seems not much explained here, or maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. Any help is greatly appreciated.
PS: I am attaching 2 JPEGs for additional explanations (tab network settings and the settings of the system).
Thanks in advance,
Benoit.
AVS,
9201 USB is not supported on RTPCs please visit this link. Currently no usb-DAQ devices do not support an environment CRPC. Only the PCI DAQ devices are supported.

Point Grey FireFly MV USB not working only not with Labview 8.5
Hey there,
I am currently using a Firefly MV USB and Labview 8.5. I installed http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/5030 - the NOR-IMAQ for USB and Flycap 2 of point Grey. My camera works fine with the software flycap but labview not detect. When I tried the wizard vision 8.0, the USB image part is grayed out and I can't select it in all. Please help. Thank you.
1. I saw that someone said that not all PointGrey pilot support DirectShow. Please confirm with PointGrey version that you could use.
2. even your University does not she, but you can download it for the assessment of the link I gave.

With the help of USB-6009 with LabView 8.0
I try to use a USB-6009 with LabView 8.0 box. I DAQmx 8.8 (that came with the unit) installed and verified that the 6009 works correctly through MAX I also read on this site that the 6009 is compatible with LabView 7 or more. However, I am unable to get LabView to recognize the device. Using LabView, to use a DAQ hardware I have to select "Input" in the palette 'Functions' But there is no range "Input". Actually I can't find the DAQ Assistant Express VI anywhere.
Do I need to use a different version of the DAQmx? If so, which and where can I find it?
Thank you.
LabVIEW 8.0 is not supported with DAQmx 8.8. I think that the last version with support for 8.0 is DAQmx 8.6.1. You can uninstall 8.8 and install 8.6.1. You should really consider upgrading your version of LabVIEW. NOR has decided to limit support for 7.1 8.0 just now. The latest version of DAQmx manages to only 8.2.x and higher.
