USB3 does not not on dv6t - 6 c 00 CTO Entertainment notebook

I went through all the previous USB3 problems/solutions on the forum.

My problem seems different.

The USB3 worked, but I had to do a restore WIN7 (full HD format).

The USB3 ports do not work now, they will turn upward an external HD but HD never shows on my computer.

I downloaded and installed "Fresco Logic USB 3.0 controller host (SP55093) driver", but Device Manager still says there is no driver loaded.

I ran Windows Update - everything is up-to-date.

I ran Assistand Support HP updater - no update available.

I uninstalled the USB root hub of Fresno logic, re-installed the Chipset Intel driver, rebooted the machine and watched search for a driver. No drivers to install. So I run the installer for the Fresco Logic USB 3.0 host controller driver (SP55093) and restart. Device Manager still shows "the drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)  There is no driver selected for the item or a set of device information. »

Fresco Logic USB 3.0 Host Controller is listed under "Other devices", not "Universal Serial Bus Controllers."

Does anyone have a solution?

The solution that worked for me was to download the driver. Run the driver .exe file, and then select the Remove option. Then again the driver software and install the driver. That he got the Frisco logic out of the category "Other devices" and in the "USB" category and it runs at speeds of the USB3. Thanks for your help.

  • HP TrueVision HD webcam does not work on HP Pavilion dv6-6179er Entertainment Notebook PC

Hi, my HP TrueVision HD webcam stopped working a week ago. My laptop is HP Pavilion dv6-6179er Entertainment Notebook PC series. Its model number is QA398EA. Product number: QA398EA #ACB. Operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Service Pack 1. When the webcam did not work on my Skype I downloaded Youcam, but it does not detect the camera as well. Thus, neither Skype nor Youcam can see the camera on my laptop. When I looked through the Device Manager, it appeared that the imaging devices category had disappeared from the Device Manager list. I tried for portable stop, remove the battery and press the power button for 10 seconds, as has been noted in this web site. However, imaging devices has not appeared. When I click Add legacy hardware (in the Device Manager Action menu) imaging devices appear in the list. However, computer does not detect the TrueVision HD driver, it detects some other driver out of place and combine it with imaging device. Looks like one of the two options: either driver webcam has been removed from the computer or a hardware problem with the camera. Is it possible that I can download driver HP TrueVision HD camera in my computer to see if it is a driver problem or hardware? Appreciate your help in advance. Thank you.

    Hi Sophie,.

The generic Webcam driver is part of the operating system and not available for download. Looks like it's a hardware problem with the Webcam. I would recommend that you ask a local technician or call HP. You can reach HP Total Care at 1-800-474-6836 in North America or Start here if you live outside of North America.

  • Ordered a 7000-dv6t Quad Edition but received a dv6t-7000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC

I ordered a Quad dv6t-7000 with Win7 Ultimate edition (all confirmed in my writings to order), but a dv6t-7000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC has been delivered. I just found out that's what they were sent instead. What is the difference in the features? Do I need to return it for all the same features that I ordered?

Also, my portable drive was supposed to have a backlit keyboard, but the laptop delivered is not... unless there is a way to activate backlit. I tried to find out how to activate the backlit keyboard, but not him have not yet discovered. I didn't find any documentation anywhere on this subject.

    Thanks for any help

    Hey,.

Dv6t-7000 CTO will be the same, however, we use the CTO marker (configured to order) on any model with some customizations made in the order. Even if you adjust the hardware options, if you have added any software or anything this is improved during the purchase process, then he would give the CTO marker. Don't worry, you have received the correct computer

For the backlit keyboard, on most of the models the hotkey to activate it is Fn + F5. The F5 F4 on some models, the correct key will have 3 small squares side by side.

As it is a special model configured, please provide your product number for them instead of the model number for exact recovery kit.

  • Installation SSD in customized HP Pavilion dv6t-7000 CTO Entertainment Notebook Edition

    Hello

You may have two configs using SSDS. The first is to get an SSD as Samsung 256 GB 2.5 "(j'ai eu sur mon Core i5/GT 650 M Dv6-7000) Pro and use it as a main boot drive in the hard drive Bay." The second is to have an mSATA (a bit more difficult to access as says Hüffer) SSD as boot drive (I just got one on a laptop of M6-1000) and keep the hard drive for data.

I prefer a pure SSD, but the way with mSATA as boot drive is also OK. However, there is no option in the BIOS to start from mSATA for the boot loader must be installed on the disk 2.5 "hard and the system on the mSATA one. I fear that, in both cases, you will need to perform a new installation, because strong readers are not as large as the original hard drives and recovery disks cannot work with them.

  • Dv6t 2000 CTO Entertainment Notebook with i7 processor 72QM to Max memory upgrade?

I have a dv6t with i7 720 m build processory about 3 years ago. I think there clarksfield CPU. I have a 2 x 2 gig installed for total of 4gig from the original version.   I wonder (assuming that Win 7 64 bit family premium that takes in charge until 16gig), this laptop only supports 8gig?  I ran a tool and it has a reference to logic/Chipset memory banks maximum installable memory of 32gig and a reference to the controller memory memory install Max 8gig.  So, what gives? The laptop will support the sticks of memory 2x8gig or just the sticks of memory 2x4gig?  The laptop DV6T 2000 CTO Entertainment.  If it supports 16 gig, I would just buy one of the sticks 8gig rather than 2x4gig. And maybe try to use 2 concerts with the 8gig send me a 10gig for now... or just wait to see if I need a 2nd 8gig.  And an upgrade of the bios will support the 16 gig?

I thought I would update my own question with the truth and the response of work that hopefully someone other than stubmles help in this.  But in a nutshell the CTO of 2000 models DV6t you could order 2009 about DO DO support 16gig and NOT only 8 GB. I have 2 slots. I have the quad 720QM first edition, yes first edition. The Intel site and the sites of Auditor memory are FALSE!  The saying has been 1st gen Quad cpu supports no more than 2x4gig = 8gigs.  In fact, one of my tools suggests that I can put in up to 32gig assuming I can find sticks of memory 2 x 16gig I don't even think is still for sale not to mention affordability. Spread the word because I hope this helps others. I bought memory to geek and thought that I would be lucky since I read several comments and observations at various locations, which suggests that they were trying to 16gig and indeed he has worked for the 720QM processor.  I did have to update my BIOS HP offers that I have to install to 2010ish, as opposed to the 4 or so that are available today for my model, but I think that have been updated to support my model didn't require much more. I carried out memory tests too in 5 iterations without problem, and in fact it starts immediately without any problem with WIN 7 home premium, recognizing the sticks. I also checked the CPU64z tool for the memory tab.

I need to replace the failed HARD drive with a new one compatible with my motherboard. buy a HARD drive, 1 TB, 7200 RPM, SATA 6.0 GB/s, - 64 MB cache? who will answer my motherboard? Unfortunately, I do not know what motherboard, the laptop came with. can someone please help me choose the right HARD disk? Thanks in advance

    1. the ID of your motherboard should be on page 87 of the maintenance manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03099531

    2. the SATA connection will be 3Gbps SATA II or SATA III 6 GB/s. None of those who should bottleneck a mechanical hard drive.

    3. I found this on Amazon.in: http://www.amazon.in/Blue%C2%A0-Notebook%C2%A0%C2%A0-Internal-Drive%C2%A0-WD10JPVX/dp/B00C9TEBJQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1461083635&sr=8-2&keywords=laptop+hard+disk

    4. an SSD at a well-known brand (for example, Samsung, Kingston, Intel, SanDisk) should have no problem with life. I recommend the Samsung 850 EVO myself, had one in my laptop.

  • SimplePass says password of windows login you entered does not match

I have a HP Pavilion dv6t-7000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC model

    Product number: A3E83AV

I tried everthing to make this work, Simplepass remembered of my websites, but does not accept

    my windows password.

The bios has been updated and have tried different combinations of the validity and Simplepass software sensor driver.

The laptop is running Windows 7 64 bit. I turned the biometrics and disable the windows password.

    I use Internet Explorer 10

IM using driver validity 4.3.301 and Simplepass 6.0.100.272

Back someone at - it a real solution for this problem. I went through all the discussion forums and none of them helped.

I upgraded SimplePass version 8.00.57 and my windows login WORKS, it works also for websites but if you connect to a Web site with wrong password and ask simplepass if in memory it will be rember the password wrong. So a little advice: remove simplepass Web site and log back in to the site and ask simplepass to remember the password.

When registering at a website for ex-athletes there is a small delay for simplepass meet and connect.

When I check the biometric devices, ther no listed? I maybe the cause by checking biometric devices turn off before installing simplepass. I followed your instructions stated.

Overall I am satisfied with this work and appreciate your efforts.

  • WD470AV: Memory card reader does not work

My WD470AV has a card reader for SD-MS/PRO forward. MMC SM. XD cards.

    OS = Win 7 Home Premium + SP1

It seems not work when an SD card is inserted as nothing presents itself as a "disk of abduction" as if when I insert a USB external hard drive or flash drive. Can anyone point me to good drivers? The HP site to download the driver for this specific model does not work.

What advice it to check if it works or any software or drivers necessary. And where in the devices.

    Thank you.

    Hi @Vinviral ,

I thank your corresponding to your query.

I understand that you're looking the driver for the card reader in a HP Pavilion dm4t-1000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC WD470AV.

You tried to access the page of the driver for your laptop, but could not.

Here is a link to sp50822.exe which is the driver for your laptop and the card reader for Windows 7.

Here is a link HP Pavilion dm4t-1000 CTO Entertainment Notebook which I was able to access using the Google browser.  I hope it will work for you also.
