use IMAQdx functions in Labview Communications System Design Suite

Hello

I would like to read an image and use the bytes obtained to perform certain functions. Currently, the system has Labview Communications System Design Suite (2014 SP1)

and vision acquisition software installed. I don't know how to use IMAQdx features in labview.  Can anyone help?

Thank you!

I do not work with the Design Suite of Labview Communications System.

In LAbVIEW, however, when after you install LabVIEW first, then the Vision Acquisition, you can use the example Finder locate IMAQ or IMAQdx for LabVIEW examples: in LabVIEW, select help > find examples. This will open the Finder of the example. On the "Search" page, type the keyword "IMAQ" or "IMAQdx" (depending on your device) and look at the examples that come with the Acquisition of the Vision for LabVIEW.

    Please guide.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi josephkirmani,

    Currently LabVIEW Communications System Design Suite is not supported on Windows 10-64 bit. You may be able to make it work on your machine, but unfortunately it is not officially supported outside of Windows 7-64 bit.

    I tried to follow this tutorial with the USRP 2932, coming soon, but I found out later that I have seem to have none of the LabVIEW Communications. No not those who prevent me from using the USRP radio? If not, then is there any restrictions on what I can do with the radio without communication?

    Hi BreadLB,

    The link to the tutorial you posted is based on LabVIEW Communications System Design Suite, a new software environment designed to accelerate the prototyping of the algorithm and stable air.  It is a completely separate and independent of LabVIEW environment.  See my post here for more details.  You can also download a free 30 day trial copy here.  Your hardware is supported with LabVIEW and LabVIEW Communications.

    The 2932 NOR is a network based USRP, and there a small on-board FPGA.  For this reason, the FPGA on that specific product is not a target of LabVIEW FPGA.  The NI 294 x / 5 x family has a large Kintex 7 FPGA and can be programmed using LabVIEW FPGA and LabVIEW Communications, as in the tutorial you posted.  The 2932 OR can be used with your host PC and LabVIEW for a variety of applications.  Unfortunately the tutorial that you have linked to your post requires the NI 294 x / 5 x hardware and Communications of LabVIEW.  If you have questions about a specific application for your 2932, please post more details and we would be happy to help you.

  • How does the library function call Labview? Can I emulate using C++?

    Hi all. I recently finished writing a dll CUDA for LabView, and now I'm in the steps of optimization of code, memory management, etc. BUT since my code depends on the entries of Labview (lots of data under types of specific data as table manages and Clusters labview) I can't use the CUDA Profiler or the Profiler VC ++ on the DLL. What I intend to do runs labview and then out of all data entry for the DLL in a binary file and then add an additional function in my code that will read in the binary file, allocate and assign variables to their respective positions, and then call the specific DLL function in Labview. In the end, this miniature function will act as the library function call to my specific group of data entries.

    In any case, I started to make this purchase all my data entry of cluster and it comes out in a binary file. And then I started the initialization of the handles of labview, allocating memory and begins to write the binary data in the memory and it works for integers (ints), floats, etc., but I'm confused on how it works with table handles!

    Some examples of code:

    Sets the Handle for table 1 d for INT
    typedef struct {}
    int length;
    int val [1];
    to access the value in a row-online val [Online]
    } Array1dInt, * Array1dIntHandle;

    int main()
    {
    Array1dIntHandle x = new Array1dInt *;
    (* x) = new Array1dInt;

    ifstream file ('TESTDATAIN.dat', ios: in | ios::binary);

    If (file.is_open ())
    {
    file ((char *) &(*x)-> length, sizeof;)
    file ((char *) &(*x)-> val [0], sizeof (int) *(*x)-> length);

    LabviewSpecificFunction (x);
    leader. Close();
    } else
    {
    < "file="" did="" not="" open!"=""><>
    }
    return 0;
    }

    __declspec(dllexport) LabviewSpecificFunction (Array1dIntHandle x)
    {
    ...
    }

    However, my program crashes when the table is nominally big, and it is expected, because if we look at the Array1dHandle, it has allocated only enough memory to 1 item of value! YET, somehow, in its magical and mysterious labview is capable of making val [1] be val [HOWEVERMANYYOUWANT], even if C++ 101 says that val [1] is a constant pointer, and even if I dynamically allocated memory another somwhere, I would never be able to put these data in this round!

    Can you explain, or maybe even write example on how I can fool my program into thinking that the binary code comes from labview, so I can then run my program independent of allowing me to profile the functions inside labview?

    I hope that this question is clear and my sample code is also clear, but I'm happy to answer any questions that relate to this.

    Thank you all!

    I think that I thought about it.

    Array1dIntHandle x = new Array1dInt *;
    int tempsize;
    file ((char *) & tempsize, sizeof;)
    (* x) = (Array1dInt *) malloc (sizeof (int) + sizeof (int) * tempsize);
    (* x)-> length = tempsize;
    file ((char *) &(*x)-> val [0], sizeof (int) *(*x)-> length);

    Well enough, you will need to make the handle, and then make a new Array1dInt * for him, then read in the length of the array in a temporary variable. Then use this information to then malloc memoery quantity you need for the table and pass this place on the handle. Now the handle will point to the size of the memory and you will be able to access the memory in the format, you've done the handle. Badabing badaboom

    Hello

    We have many examples in our example OR about the continuous Simulation and predictive control search tool.  You can get to the example by going to help > find examples.

    For MPC in the Finder of the example:

    Browse tab > Modules and Toolkits > control and Simulation > design check > MPC

    For the Simulation continues in the Finder of the example:

    Browse tab > Modules and Toolkits > control and Simulation > Simulation > linear continuous

  • I "lost" my IMAQdx functions!

    I have a routine that I developed using IMAQdx.  I recently wanted to do the extra work of IMAQdx, but discovered that the Palette of IMAQdx is almost empty - the only content is a property node and a Palette of Sub low-level IMAQdx containing only the register for events.  There are, however, many functions in the Palette IMAQ.

    However, they are the functions of "bad".  Here's the camera function Open IMAQdx (now-missing) of the previous program and next to her is the closest function - to research, I see not in the palette IMAQ - they are definitely different.

    I don't know when "disappeared" from my palette of LabVIEW 2012 IMAQdx functions.  I have LabVIEW 2011 (SP1), 2012 (SP1), 2013 (SP1) and 2014 (not yet SP1) installed, and none of them have the missing IMAQdx functions.  I just tried to reinstall the device drivers, using the distribution August 2014.  I'm under LabVIEW Real-time, so I also installed RT functions.  I did not install the drivers of RIO.  I remember (probably two years ago when I installed the drivers of 2012) I installed IMAQdx, but does not install drivers IMAQ, and it worked.  I also do not have "reconfigurable i/o" devices (RIOs, FlexRIOs, etc.) -This time, I noticed that if I tried to not to install FlexRIO sideways in real time, he deleted the drivers of IMAQdx!

    My last attempt was to install IMAQ, IMAQdx and RT FlexRIO, but still no luck.  What is the "thing"?  Drivers LabVIEW 2014 (August 2014) do funny things to my IMAQdx devices?  Is this a Bug or a feature?

    BS

    Thanks for the suggestion.  I did, indeed, reinstall the software (on two separate machines) and also reinstalled the drivers.

    I just found and solved the problem.  At some point (while an update is being installed), OR set my "Need the Activation" license, without telling me.  How I discovered this was to open LabVIEW, watch tools options Advanced/Edit defined Palette, look at the Vision/Motion, click IMAQdx and note all the icons I expected to see were a score of ugly red on the bottom that I got meant that it had not been activated (even if she was, when first installed).

    So I went to the Manager of licenses, found that the last two entries, Vision Acquisition Software August 2014 and Vision Development Module 2014 showed "disabled".  They activated without fuss and after a reboot, all my icons IMAQdx returns (in all of my versions of LabVIEW from 2011 to 2014).

  • Change of LabVIEW VeriStand system definition

    Hi all

    I have a project where I need to be able to change the drawn in LabVIEW VeriStand system definition.  The project will use a LabVIEW user interface and I would like to be able to programmatically change of LabVIEW VeriStand system maps (unloading and loading mapping .txt files via LabVIEW System).

    It seems that the SystemDefinitionAPI contains the methods I need, but I can't figure out how to get a reference for VeriStand.SystemDefinitionAPI

    If there is an easier or simpler way to do this, please let me know.  Thanks for your help,

    Phil

    A bit more info that may be useful...

    The examples referenced by Jarrod contain a constructor .NET to create a file system definition by giving a name, description, creator, version, etc...  If you double-click on the node in the constructor it will bring up a dialog box that shows all the manufacturers of the SystemDefintion object.  You should see another manufacturer that only requires a string entry "nivssdfFile".  Use this constructor and provide a path to your nivssdf file to open your SysDef existing (instead of creating a new).

    Remember, you should always call the SaveSystemDefinitionFile method when you finish your changes to commit everything on the disc (such as demonstrated in the example).

  • float to bytes conversion using c code in labview

    Mr President, I made the taste of the float to bytes conversion using type cast in labview. now I want that conversion using the code c. means I want to know that how labview can suport code c. farmula node is not suporting my code which is working wel in labwindows. kindly help me on this subject so that my skil can be improved using labview

    The node of the formula as its name suggests is to facilitate the access of the algebraic formulas in text form and uses a C like syntax, but is in no way a fully featured parser/compiler. It supports only a subset of the syntax of C for obvious reasons. Why would you need to implement entire code C in LabVIEW for LabVIEW program supports the same functions and to do it with LabVIEW nodes, you will always have better performance you can get in the formula node.

    If you have real C code you wish to call in LabVIEW you use the node form but create a DLL from it and call it via the node library call.
