  I'm trying to use the jt400.jar to IBM driver (com.ibm.as400.access.AS400JDBCDriver) to connect to ODI 11 g with an ACE / 400 machine. I have successfully installed the jar for our autonomous agent (on AIX), but I can't my Studio ODI (on Windows XP) to recognize the driver.

  I can throw this exception by using a few different devices in ODI Studio, but it's simple to replicate.
  
  Troubleshooting I copied the jt400*.jar files in a variety of directories on my machine to try to get this working and have modified my CLASSPATH to point to an external directory that also contains the jt400*.jar files, but nothing seems to work. (I also rebooted my machine several times to the Windows mode)

  Just to clarify: you sound like foreign key in the Oracle database? Or are you talking about a foreign key defined in ODI logic?

  In the first case, you will need to reactivate the key on the database. Reverse engineering, something in ODI just get the metadata of ODI to be conscious, but nothing in the database changes.
  In the second case, you can disable checking of the constraint on the control tab (or you can set the flow control to false if you do not need at all).

  I also faced the same problem.
  Error appeared when I tried to use the temporary interface.
  After that adding temporary interface to the new interface as a source and saving and closing this just created interface - had oracle.odi.core.security.PermissionDeniedException exception during the opening of the interface.
  Workaround solution - grant to ODI user supervisor privileges.

  I come from a programming background, and there is an aspect of ODI that confuses me.
  
  When I do the work of development ODI, I reverse usually engineer planning of Hyperion, Hyperion Essbase and some Oracle views which are also in development. I build interfaces, test them and make sure that everything is working well.
  
  Now when it comes to moving these interfaces in production, for me, feeling sense this Dermatology the same interface should be hitting views ORacle, Hyperion/Essbase planning on Production servers. So, my question is so how do I do this.
  If I have to reverse engineer still around: the models of planning and essbase in Production and re - build interfaces, its some duplication and a waste of time. I looked in the user guide and Administrator's guide, but none of them were useful.
  
  Any gurus out there, your help will go a long way and will be very appreciated!

  You're not far off where you want to get. If the structures in DEV and PROD are identical, so you don't have to worry about creating templates and interfaces in PROD. ODI runs it through its architecture in layers of the logical and physical diagrams that are related through contexts.

  Here are some tips...

  In the topology Manager:
  -Create your PROD servers and physical diagrams
  -If your master repository for PROD is on one server other than for DEV, then create logical patterns with the same names you have in DEV
  -Create a context of PROD and assign each logic diagram of the physical schema matching
  -Set up your repository work as a repository of execution PROD (there is an option when you create the repository
  (It is very important that the names are the same in PROD and DEV, CODES called are what master and repositories working links)

  In DEV Designer:
  -Produce scenarios of integration process to migrate
  -Export to XML scenarios

  By exploiting PROD (PROD Designer is not available because it is a repository of execution that is read only - with the exception of the variables):
  -Import scenarios
  -Launch the scenarios to test the whole works.
