Use of system high - random, TFP causes a BSOD.

Original title: System high use

Hey Microsoft:

Software can dominate the system resources?   I have a program which, lately, seems to want to use all system resources to the point of view of a BSOD.   Unfortunately, there is no way to post a screenshot of the Task Manager.  So I ask on manually in this post.

Username name image CPU Memory (Private working set) Description

Taskmgr.exe Gary S...        00 2 112 K Windows Task Manager

PTF 16PRO.exe Gary S...       TurboFloorPlan3D 00 212 172 K

Winlogon.exe 00 1 896 K

Any software that I run... IE11, Google Earth, Photoshop Elements, works fine.  But at random times, TFP causes a BSOD.  BAD_POOL_HEADER sometimes, sometimes other random messages. Sometimes, this software will work correctly, but when I click the X (to close), usually I'll take the option to SAVE.  Sometimes it will just stop, and will display the BSOD.  If my CPU / RAM goes bad, why who is not performing OTHER software?    I tried to reinstall the TFP, where the initial installation has not "installed" correctly.    And, if this software is not compatible with my Windows 7 Pro 32 bit, then it would not operate in first place.    I thought to do a total reinstall of Windows7.  But, the last time I did this, the FORMAT option on the disk version would not allow me to FORMAT my hard drive, just DELETE the partition only. Which could explain the instability of my copy of Windows 7.   If my thinking is correct, then THIS time, while still in Windows 7, put in my CD Player installation disc, FORMAT my hard drive.  Restart the disk, then go through the process of re - install... correct?     Advice?

My site appears much too big in firefox. And I want all browsers to view my site properly.
I know that there are settings wihtin firefox that fix this problem. But I'm looking for a solution on server side, so that visitors to my site must not be disturbed by changing their settings.

You may need to change your site as soon as 30 Chrome and IE 11 will also use the system DPI setting (like Firefox does now).

    Possible solution:

    • Type of topic: config in the Firefox address bar and hit the Enter key.
    • If the warning that this might void your warranty , click I'll be careful, I promised.
    • Search for layout.css.devPixelsPerPx

    • Double-click layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to edit its value. The default value is - 1.0 in Firefox 22 and above. Change it to 1.0 to run as in previous versions of Firefox.

If necessary, further adjust the value of 0.1 or 0.05. Values between 1.0 and around 0.5 to reduce the size of the elements. Use a value greater than 1.0 to increase the size. For example, a value of 1.25 will increase the font size of the 125% to account for the default DPI setting in Windows 8. Check the value that you enter. Definition of a value that is too small will take everything away and too high will explode things.

Xplornet sold me router they installed and set up the system, l think they would try the less high Hel [p secure my connection online of course, but also waste of time can someone help me?]

    Thanks Jim (Ontario), Canada

    Hi Jim,.

Almost (I would say that everyone that I don't know any that aren't, but there may be exceptions) any wireless connection can be attached to any use not authorized except by computers using the appropriate encryption type, encryption code and a unique key for access (typically implemented by the router using the appropriate options - the strongest your system can accommodate and that are available to you - and knows the proper procedures to establish a good connection user name and password and a secure key and remove the reset of the keys of all standard - as admin/admin for linksys routers (but be sure to not lose your login or you'll be watered) - then you configure the computer to match the appropriate settings).

Why the router company won't help you is beyond me - it should be part of the common, ordinary customer service.  And I find it very hard to believe that this is not possible (a company that sells a system without guaranteed seems like it would fail so quickly in today's market it would be almost a joke).

But we really cannot help you here because it comes to configure the router with security defined and then configure the computers allowed to access with the appropriate codes for permission, while all others would just discarded).  We can help you in another forum on how to configure computers to work with the settings of the router (but it's usually easy once the router settings are established), but the router must be done with the help of the router or company the company that sold you the system that we know how to get it or the appropriate configurations commands and settings to use this system.

You must call again and this time insist to talk to a supervisor and then a Manager, then a Vice President, until you get to someone who will help you.  Maybe if you threaten to cancel or dispute the charges or to take legal action, you will have someone who will help you.  Start by xplornet as they put in place and should have done so on a basis that is secure from the outset and to refuse to be redirected to the router company until you've climbed the echelons of power as much as you can on the phone and online.  Then, if necessary, do the same with the router company.  I'm sure that you get just the evasive answers and someone in these societies can help you configure the router to have good security.  You must be the "furious, angry, frustrated, angry, demanding, irritating, unstoppable, persistent client, who KNOWS that it is possible for them to help" who realize they won't go away until you get what should have happened from the beginning (even though it's far from your normal personality and you feel comfortable to be like this - it is sometimes the only way to get real results with some companies).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

    keimanzero,

Comcast of Norton Security Suite version is installed? If Yes, who and perhaps malware is most likely to cause questions you have published, in particular the failure of the restoration of the system.
First, configure the system to boot - How to solve a problem by performing a boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
NOTE: Start-up mode minimum state all the 3rd party firewalls will be disabled. Open Control Panel > Windows Firewall to make sure that the native firewall of Windows 7 is now on.

Download and Save the update system (or CheckSUR) tool. You will need to download the specific Version of CheckSUR corresponding to the architecture of the system to Windows 7. If you do not know the architecture of the system, and then click the link that says "Click here to show or hide the instructions step by step with images" under method 2: download the update directly system preparation tool from Microsoft Download Center .
Description of the preparation tool system update for Windows Vista for Windows Server 2008, for Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2

Once the download is complete, close all open programs and browsers. Now, run CheckSUR with the system connected to the internet because it will download the .cab for system files. Reboot once CheckSUR is complete.

Secondly, I suggest that you run the File Checker system while in the same clean boot state.
To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start and type cmd in the field search programs and files .
    2. Right click on cmd.exe in the programs of list, and then choose 'run as administrator '.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
    3. At the command prompt, enter the following line exactly as written including the space between thec and the/and then press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problems facing the system have been resolved.

If they are not, you will need to contact Norton support for the version of Norton Internet Security Comcast to get help, or just uninstall NIS, run the Norton removal tool (right click Norton_Removal_Tool.exe, choose "Run as Administrator"), reboot and then check to see if the problems are still occurring.

  • Error: "the system restore is disabled by group policy" when he tried to use the system restore

    Original title: group policy

When I try to use the system restore, I get "system restore is disabled by group policy. How can I fix this problem?

    Hi bluelilly,

    1. is your computer connected to a domain?
    2. don't you make changes before the show?

This occurs if the Configuration policy to disable is enabled on your system, either by using Group Policy or through the registry editor. For stand-alone systems Windows Vista, follow these steps:
Step 1: Using the Group Policy Editor. If your edition of Windows Vista includes the Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) snap-in, follow these steps:
    a. Click Start, type gpedit.msc and press ENTER.
    b. go to the following branch: Computer Configuration | Administrative templates | System | System restore
    c. double click on disable the Configuration and set it to not configured.
Note: If the above setting is already set to not configured, set it to "Enabled" and click on apply. Return back the setting to not configured, then click on apply, OK.
    d. Quit Group Policy Editor.
    e. restart the computer and check the difference.

Step 2: Using the registry editor
    a. Click Start, type regedit.exe and press ENTER
    b. navigate to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-Software-policies-Microsoft-Windows NT------SystemRestore
    (c) in the right pane, delete the value named DisableConfig.
    d. Quit Registry Editor.
    e. restart the computer and check the difference.

Very important: Modifying the registry incorrectly will cause serious damage to the computer. Back up the registry until you make changes.

  • Pavilion 2000: Using the system restore

I used the system restore in the past and I know it took a few hours to complete with good results, as it eliminated the problem. Last week, I used the restoration of the system, the screen turned blue and the restoration began however this continued for more than 3 days!  I was unable to use my laptop for so long. I saw a blue screen with an icon swirling in the Center. Miraculously, the day 4, he came back to life, but immediately began to update the apps I had checked to only not to do. It took an extra day. Actually, now it's back to normal. I am now afraid to use the restoration of the system again. What I've done wrong?

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum.

Could you provide your full computer model - information can be seen from the service tag sticker > > http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Miscellaneous-Topics-Read-Only/Advice-for-asking-the-quot-Very-Best-Question-quot/td-p/83280 ?

Could you confirm your OS - is this Windows 8/8.1 now?

I see your previous thread in the attempt to upgrade to W10...

I'm not sure about what you were wrong (if anything), but

System Restore is a feature of Windows that usually takes minutes (30 minutes max) in full, not hours, not days. It restores the Windows registry, files/settings of the system to a previous state and is generally quick.

Do you mean the system recovery or system reset/refresh?

These are different things. These restore original Windows or format partitions on HARD drive - it can take an hour or 2-3 max but not days.

If these (especially system restore) lasts days, there is indeed something wrong with the operating system.

    Looking forward to your confirmations.

Microsoft Fix - It ran... computer & rebooted... closed repeatedly...

    Problem persists... Help!

    Lane

It is a common problem with updates of .NET. Here are the steps I follow

    First try this...

Download and run the Microsoft .NET Framework repair tool , then visit Windows Update and let it try to reinstall updates. Once it's done, scan again with Windows Update to ensure that they properly installed.

If the above does not make it...

Open Add or remove programs, click on .NET 3.5 and choose repair. I got around to test if this fix actually .NET 2.0 and 3.0 of the .NET also, but it's worth it. I do not know if it can also cancel updates already installed .NET. If so, they will reinstall when you perform a Windows update that is the next step after the repair.

If the repair does not fix it, will add and remove programs and uninstall the .NET Framework 3.5, 2.0, then 3.0.
Visit Windows Update, select Custom scan and under software, optional install this...

It must be installed by itself. Windows Update will not let you do otherwise.

When he did install (I forgot if she asks for a restart or what not), scan again and all updates for .NET 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5 of the .NET .NET must appear. Choose to install.
A new analysis to ensure that they properly installed.

If all goes well, that will solve the problems you face.

Make sure you come back and let us know which method worked for you or if you still have problems, I have to run a cleaning tool.

    Good luck!

  • You want to connect to Xbox Live 360 using labtop. Cannot use WMI. Windows says THAT WMI is damaged, use the system restore. System Restore will not restore to any point I use.

I want to enable sharing on this topic in the Advanced tab, but I get the message that says WMI is damaged and I need to use the system restore. However, the system restore will not restore the system at any time I choose. What is the solution?

OK you have an ETHERNET cable? (cable for PC to the Modem)
    What OS do you have?

Heres to help, you need to an ethernet cable, or adapter wireless XBOX 360.

With the ethernet cable, connect one end on the XBOX and one end to your laptop.
You go to control panel > network and Internet > network and sharing Center > change the adapter settings. Then you select your wireless network and your local network. Then you right click and press 'CONNECTION of BRIDGE' (requires administrator privileges). After that your DONE! Just check if it works on your XBOX 360!

If your system restore page display only the title bar 'System Restore', or your accounts settings page of users shows that the 'User accounts' title bar and the screen where information needs to be is an empty white box...

System Restore is a frequent target of attacks by malicious software.  If SR was working before and is now afflicted, run some scans and then fix any problems.

Remember that the system restore is not a time machine.

Your system is currently or has been reached by malicious software.

You can now fix the symptom and scanning for malware later, or you can now find malware and fix the remains later.  I recommend just fixing the symptom of the empty page and forget to do the scans.  The symptom of the problem of fixing and fixing the problem are two different things.

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

The scans using own it may also be necessary to re-register some dll (or you can do this part first, but you still have to do the scans).

    Just fix the immediate question:

Looks like your file jscript.dll became somehow not registered so you can re-record it.

There are probably a few other things that do not work you know yet, so fix them all at once.

Re-registration of these DLLs is correct, even if they do not need renewal.  You can also re-register the dll before the scans that can solve the problem, but the scans are always recommended.

Click Start, run, and in the box enter orders following one at a time.  Click the OK button to execute each command one at a time.

    regsvr32 jscript.dll
    regsvr32 vbscript .dll
    regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll (it's a look of slash)

The last order for mshtml load the DLL but can also contain a harmless warning depending on your environment.

Now check your timetable for restoration of the system and/or the user account settings page.

Sorry to say this, but in my opinion, we were one of the two
the worst in the other security programs.

Sorry, I can't help you with the details of the Norton problem. For a

to pay for it. If you want a free anti-virus, I recommend one (are not
