  2000 and 2004 are now retired by default.  You will need to make sure that you activate and fights these signatures before the test.

  My question is, what am I doing wrong or missing?  My router is too old to be able to get the latest signature files?

  You have a version of IOS, which includes the old version of the IOS IPS feature (known as v4).  This version only supports signature updates using the SDF formatted files.  These files are is more updated.

  The updated signature file you found (ending in .pkg) is accompanied by appliances Cisco IPS signature update package and is not compatible with the IOS IPS feature set.

  The current IOS IPS feature (called v5) also uses the .pkg files.  You have to pass your 2651 IOS to a version of the T train such as version 12.4 (24) T2 for the newest IOS IPS.

  I tried to download firefox on a pc with windows vista, fiefox configure wants me to go to an administrator account. There are two users on the windows machine means, both as directors, but at the same time discourage making a staff.   I'm assuming that you download the installer of Firefox http://www.getfirefox.com/ with Internet Explorer. Something to try:

  You must choose the registration option (do not use the run option). Once the download is complete, open the download folder for your Windows account, then right-click on the Firefox setup.exe inside the file and choose run as administrator.

  We are running XP and have 3 different user desktop accounts. We are very excited about the features of Firefox4, but one user a lot less comfortable with changes and does not want to lose the comfort of navigation in 3 until it had a chance to get used to using 4. May take a while...

  When you install Firefox 4, choose the custom installation option and change the install location of Firefox. You'll then 2 versions of Firefox are installed.

  I'll assume, you are referring to the administrator account, but it can be applied to any local account which is located on the TCS server itself.  It has no impact to change the password, unless you are using doesn't say account to connect to the server of TCS or web interface, it will not affect the application of TCS as most things such as external storage or clustering rely on domain accounts and not the local server.

  Somehow, it defies logic. Surely, I think, that any IP address should have the possibility of obtaining signatures updated "online".

  You have auto update functionality of Cisco IPS version 6.0, take a look at the attached picture.

  Update of signatures is * recommended * that you reload the signatures (restart the sensor), although this is not mandatory.

  Yes, they can still download programs but may not be able to install them. An easy way to check is to create the account, connect to it and try it and then you will know for sure.

  It's probably because that VCS runs in TMS PE commissioning mode, in which FindMe is managed by the portal user in TMS, meaning there is no need to set up the maintenance > logins on the VCS.

  Edit: You added information that you do not have the keys option Device Provisioning and FindMe. Because user names relate directly to FindMe, the absence of an option key FindMe would explain also unable to see maintenance > login accounts > user accounts.
