• VLM can disconnect a user-based license?

  Currently, we use licenses based on computer for our products.  For some of our users who work disconnected, we eat two licenses.  We are therefore contemplate pass them to a schema license based on the user for some of our products.  I found documentation detailing how to disconnect a computer (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/6202245633CF18328625712B00095F2E).  How does a user disconnected?   Hi Richard,

  "Disconnect users" is undoubtedly possible inside NI VLM.  While this is a simple process and direct, there is an additional step involved, since it is not human (user) who is disconnected from the network, it is a machine (computer).  As such, you must effectively generate a new computer entry in NI VLM (which will eventually be disconnected), associate computer with permission to a specific user and then then unplug the computer.

• Windows 7 Pro, download "Microsoft Office for the user final license agreement." in office 2003 programs.

  I bought a new HP with Windows 7 Pro computer, then loaded all of the software I used on my old XP system. Whenever I have start any Office 2003 application, I get a dialog box titled "Microsoft Office end-user license agreement. I have to click "I agree" before you continue. I use an old Vista solution of "as admin" and now I get a box asking if it is to change this program (register I think).  How can I stop this box to appear? Thank you.

  Currently I have ASA5500-SSL-25 = license installed on my ASA 5520.

  I want the same for 50 users now.

  Please help me with the part number for a 25 to 50 users upgrade path.

• SSH version pix 6.3.3 is the name of user pix, you can connect to?

  I test the SSH version 1 connections in a 515 6.3.3 I configuration of usernames within the pix and ssh allows connections via running ip address. THS problem is I can only connect to the PIX via the username "pix" and it will only allow one connection at a time.

  Does anyone know why not accept logings via SSH using user names defined in the device?

  You will then be able to connect using the local usernames on the Pix.

• How to identify what eBooks associated with which user purchases/license

  I'm following the case:

  A user has purchased an eBook and then wanted the cover in place. We need to suspend the licence which was created when the purchase took place, however, with the current system of distribution of the eBook, we cannot find any connection between what the user (which is in our SQL database) and licenses for this user that I can work with thanks the ACS4 Adobe system.

  There are Web APIs such as ManageFulfillmentData, where you can search by distributor/transactionID for the user/resource id which you can then use ManageLicenseData to get the current license.  Documentation on the APIs are in the technical reference information.

  BTW, the ACS4 database is not encrypted, but elements based UUID are binary encoded, and do a SELECT with a HEX (column) you will get most of the way.

• Installation of a user company license

  I installed a trial version of creative cloud. It has expired. My company bought a license for me, since then. When I try to install the new license he wants to use my personal email address I used for the trial version, but now I need to use the licensed version using my work email address. • Pix 501 license limits and how to say

  I sent a PIX-501-BUN-K9, which is limited to 10 users. I recently sent another PC. I can't browse the internet unless I reboot the pix. Is this an indication that I need to update the license?

  What commands can I run on the pix to check or validate that I reached the limit license?

  This will display your license that is installed on your PIX. Next to "To inside hosts", you will see how many user licenses are available. You can upgrade by purchasing a license from 10 to 50 users (PIX-501-SW-10-50 =) for about $240, or 10 to unlimited (PIX-501-SW-10-UL =) for about $370.

  To find out how many are currently in use, you can enter "sho xlate count" which will set out how current translations are used.

• Number of licenses of PIX

  I noticed a strange activity with regard to the user with the PIX license features.

  I have two networks interconnected via VPN. One side is a 515 (unrestricted) the other is a 501 (50 users). I noticed that if I do a scan of ICMP ping against the 501 internal network IP range, I use all licenses of connection on their PIX, even if I have only 30 physical machines on that network.

  This seems a little strange to me. Anyone encountered this before? Even if no computer used the majority of the address space that has been surveyed, the PIX takes each IP address as a user license and restricted access for all connections more.

  I think it would have been more logical to expect an ARP entry is created successfully to be able to count against the license of the user on the device. Someone at - he comments?

  It is an expected behavior, although some might say it's a little weird.

  The ping packet is allowed through because it is part of the VPN tunnel (I guess you have the command "sysopt connection permit-ipsec" in place which allows any package IPSec in). As the packet passes through the PIX and a conn/xlate is created, the PIX legitimately consumes a license for it, regardless of whether the package is actually answered or not. Change this behavior would change the entire concept of the licensing operation. Note that this wouldn't happen if someone on the Internet (not on the VPN tunnel) did a ping sweep, cause the package would have fallen to the external interface and no xlate/conn would be created for her.

  You could lower your xlate/conn timeout to 5 minutes, or how they'll expire faster and free licenses, but at this stage the PIX does what he is told to do and it is to use a license for a host with an xlate/conn. Unfortunately with him coming in via a VPN, has no way for him to say if this host is really or does not before creating the xlate/conn.

  How can I purchase a license and how do I install it in the asa?

  OK, you can buy the option 1 or 2, but option 2, you just need the AnyConnect Premium license as ASA5500-SSL-10 is the AnyConnect Premium license.

  ASA5520, it supports 750 concurrent users with license key AnyConnect.

  Essential AnyConnect is cheaper than the AnyConnect Premium license, however, I don't know how much it costs.

• Adobe license - a desktop - several users

  We have a legal copy of adobe CS5 in our office.

  We use this maximum copy only 5% of our time. Used by a single person. Perfect.

  CC Adobe license can be activated on 2 machines using the same Adobe ID, but only one at a time.

• PIX 501 basic Config

  I'm putting in place an internet service for some members of the service here in Afghanistan. We use the commercial internet (provided by satellite) to a modem that goes into my firewall 501 pix.

  Service that we bought gives us Ip 29, and now I just have it set up as such.

  Modem gateway: 10.124.48.1

  Outside the firewall: 10.124.48.2

  Inside the firewall: 192.168.1.1

  Global NAT pool: 10.124.48.3 30 (the rest of intellectual property s that are outside the package)

  On the inside of the pool of the host: 192.168.1.2 -.33

  DNS for inside customers: 192.168.130.30,.50

  Everything seems ok, as I use the PDM software to allow all traffic ip from outside to inside (I know it isn't the safest to do thing ~ and the fact that I turned a firewall $ 700 to a router for $40). I can browse the internet, but it is really weird.

  I.E.

  I can ping msn.com and www.msn.com , and it resolves the twice,

  But if I put msn.com in Internet explorer, it says cannot display the page, but if I hit the refresh like five times, it'll happen. If I navigate away from the page and then try to type in msn.com again (in the same window) I hit refresh 5 times, to get the next page.

  But if I type in www.msn.com it just generally well upward.

  Even when he says that the page cannot be displayed, I have her pinger running in background ~ so I know that I can get for it. Weird huh?

  1.) to refine the 10 limitation of host within the network you couold install another device inside network that PAT - translation of Port addresses that hide all the IP addresses behind his foreign address.

  3.) World normal political deadlock depends on your company security policy, someone should set one, many companys trust their employees and allow all outgoing traffic. Might be good to block traffic P2P, Multimedia Streaming stuff, but this is not possible with OS 6.3.4 Release. You must wait for PIX OS 7.0, which is not available for PIX 501.
