user very slow passage of Win 7 Home Premium

"Until recently, click on change user ' in Win 7 Home Premium would bring me to the screen in about 2 seconds.  Now, the screen turns white for 23-26 seconds before presenting the appropriate screen.  I have a 6 GB 64-bit HP with 3 users office.  1 TB hard drive is only 10% full.  I have run Norton 360 regularly, tune ups, cleaning, defragmentation, cleaning and Spybot regularly drive.  This delay occurs even if there is no program opened by one of the users.  I have returned to restore points in time before the problem occurring, without effect.  To further complicate the issue, the problem disappeared once, briefly for about 3 or switches 4 critical, then brought back to the blank screen for 23 + dry whenever I now switch users.  Switching to / administrator is not faster or slower than switching between non-admin users.

I installed the game ghostburters on windows vista Home premium with service Pack 1 and it runs very slowly, I tried the upgrade a few things bo nothing helps.

whay can I do to improve the speed?

Well, that may depend on how fast your computer is.  Games have the system requirements listed on the box or the Web site that you downloaded from.  Your computer should generally be at or better than the recommended settings.  Otherwise games will run slowly or not work.  If the game runs slow, in general, you can buy a graphics card faster to make it go more quickly, but it depends greatly on this kind of material you have in your computer now.

It is always sensible in this situation to achieve a malware check

Start the computer in safe mode with network and download and install Malwarebytes (free version for individuals only), updated definitions and run in safe mode. Disable other security software while you do the analyses.

I found it's an AMD program called Quickstream AMD that is supposed to do a slow connection for streaming video faster, but it had the opposite effect for me. I have since got rid of him and we're back to a speed of 30 MB + I had before. I have just the graphics drivers now :-)

  • Lenovo G555 OKR Win 7 Home Premium

Ugh! I came here and saw there were 200 + pages of topics. I'm sorry if mine is already validated and has an answer, but I ask myself in a hospital bed need to use OKR and cannot understand it. I won't go through all the pages to see if my are answered so bear with me. I have no documentation with me (it's at home for obvious reasons). Recently, I have this computer and have not yet created backups "file of users. The only backup here is everything back to how it was if I had just bought it and was first put on brand new.

IF I ABSOLUTELY have TO, I could lose my bookmarks in firefox (or I could just the zip file and send them an email to me - I use Live Mail so I'm not worried about the deletion and lose my emails). But I wouldn't lose my documents, videos and what-not. My other software, I installed from the factory-fresh install when I bought the computer is not much and I can actually just go to some sites and reinstall things, No biggy.

What I prefer is to back up all my personal files, so I don't have to re-download anything and have it take 1 million years to reinstall everything. In 'My Computer', I saw the C: partition, the partition D: (Lenovo) who had the OKR related files and I guess that the secret files to reinstall the original image. I have Windows, the value do not hide what whatsoever from me. I also see a MS Office Starter 10 q score: who is protected, but didn't seem to do anything when you double-click it except give me an error message that I am not authorized to access. Then there's the DVD Burner F: and below, there is a "Norton Backup" type icon that looks like a hard drive, but when you double click on that, it shows just 3 icons more: 1) backups of the system by default C: partition, 2) the partition D: Lenovo backups and backups DVD Burner F:... By double clicking on anyone of them showed that the it is that anything backed up towards them.

If I close and press the OKR which looks like a symbol of u-Turn of orange color, it brings me to the OKR options screen but since I have no backups created by the user, the only option that it will really allow me to choose is exit and let Windows load just as it does now and continue to use the computer , or reset the computer to the original image and lose everything...

How the hell do a user-created backup image? I went to C:\Program Files\Lenovo\OneKey App\OneKey Recovery\Language\Enu\ and there was an overview of the OKR program, but nothing to really say how to create an image backup created by the user, the .htm files. Just that you are going to kick you if you create a return to the top of your data first and run the OKR to restore the original image. Not very useful. It would be nice if in fact, he crossed and detailed how the hell do!

I want to thank you all for your attempts to help me. I went to uninstall the existing installation of OKR and re - download the installation file, so I can install a new copy from the links provided in this thread. Unfortunately, I was with a WiFi very slow at the hospital I was staying in and after about 20-30 of 273 MB downloaded, it seems the download has completed. I finally got so fed up with it, I used a downloader that supports recovery and even in this case is the same trouble. Finally on download seventeenth attempt, I got it completely downloaded. Once again, since I'm on a slow connection, it took about 2-3 days with all these upheavals, but I got it. Then when I installed it, it's the same thing. GRR! Then, so I decided to save all my important files on a DVD and I just shut down the computer and supported the OKR button and allowed him to recover the original factory installed image. Now, Win 7 Home Premium desktop screen when you press the OKR, it gives you the options to create images of backup or restore backups I have created or install again the original factory image. It's a pain in the neck, but I got it working properly, finally. Yet once, I want to thank you all for trying to help, and you can now consider this topic resolved.

  • Vista Business - > Win 7 Home Premium upgrade does not work with my Win 7 Home Premium Upgrade disc

I bought a Windows 7 upgrade for $99 at Dell when I bought a new computer Win 7 and am finally getting around to upgrading my Vista Business.  The reason for road upgrading rather than clean install was to avoid reinstalling all applications, a major, major time sink, even if I find all the drives in application.  Is the upgrade to Win 7 Home Premium.

After starting the upgrade, he stopped, telling me that I can only switch to Win 7 Pro, Ultimate or enterprise. For the upgrade to proceed, told me that he needed a clean installation and that I would then have to re - install all the applications.  I looked on the Microsoft site, trying to find how to set my Windows 7 Pro upgrade disc, but I have been unable to find how this could be done after through many convolutions of web pages.

Could someone tell me please how to put my Win 7 Home Premium Upgrade disk to a Windows 7 Pro upgrade disc?

Thank you very kindly for any response.

I guess it depends on what side of the coin of your on. If someone bought the Windows 7 Pro upgrade, whereas they would have only a single lane of evolution, which is the more common scenario.

  • Inspiron 3521 - Win 7 Home Premium not detect Ethernet/NW Devices - need drivers

Hi, hope someone can help you.

I recently bought Win 7 Home Premium, 64-bit, for "downgrade" my laptop Inspiron 3521 for Windows 8.0.

Windows 7 is not looking for drivers for the following items:

I read the Wiki on getting the hardware ID, but... when I do properties > details on any of them, there is no hardware shown ID.

My theory is that this is b/c they are all on the motherboard? But that's a wild guess on my part.

No idea how I can be sure of what material I've got, given that the hardware ID are not?

Associates: I jumped my service tag in Support of Dell thingie to see if that gives joy and found that * could * be the drivers I need, BUT: what the beep is that sort of thing auto-install?  I'm not ON my Dell laptop when I come here, because it doesn't connect to the Internet or any network at all, so if all these auto-telechargements, it's going to auto download on the WRONG COMPUTER stuff!  (My apologies for yelling: I'm shouting metaphorically to Dell technical support, not to you all!) )

So, is it possible to get the drivers, I need without * grill * the not quite expensive Dell desktop I'm on?  I tried to download directly on a USB key, but Dell does not want you to, either.

If someone could walk me through this, I would be VERY grateful.

    Thank you very much!

    Liz

  • Hi, I'm Amir Ahmad Amiri 16 years of Afghanistan, my windows is Win 7 home Premium, and I have a usrer of the admin who is protected by myself.

Hi, I'm Amir Ahmad Amiri 16 years of Afghanistan, my windows is Win 7 home Premium and I have a usrer of the admin who is protected by myself and I forgot the password of the user account of the said. The guest account is disabled and I have no CD to repair. Please help me!

There are a lot of options built into Windows to help you out of this situation:
    • Restart the computer with your Windows repair CD, then use system restore to set Windows in a few days (only works if you have recently changed the password).
    • Log on to your account admin to spare, and then reset the password for your existing account (works only if you set up an alternative admin account).
    • Log in as administrator mode without failure, then reset the password for your existing account (the password is usually empty).
    • Insert your flash drive USB with the password key file (only works if you have taken the time to create such a key file).
    • Use the password indicator (works only if you have created a hint and if it's good enough to allow you to guess the password)
    • Check your paper files (works only if you threw down the password somewhere)
A Windows repair CD is absolutely essential if you decide to do maintenance on your own PC. It takes only three minutes to burn a via the control panel / backup and restore. You have these options:
    • Burn it on another computer.
    • Borrow one from a friend.
    • Purchase one here: http://systemdiscs.com/

I've owned my XPS Dell for more than 2 years, (that I bought new from Dell) and last week I started to get the ' don't not Genuine Microsoft..., "I'm under Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit, which shows that it is valid and active, but I still get the error of 0x8004fe21 activation code.

I did all the basics, slui.exe, slui3.exe, slui4.exe, which all say successful activation, but remains constantly get the error of 0x8004fe21 activation code.

  • Satellite A660 - update: Win 7 Home Premium to Ultimate

I just bought A660 preloaded with Windows Home Premium 64-bit.
I would switch to Ultimate 64 bits because I need additional features.
I would like to know how to upgrade to Ultimate with a pack of detail without deleting all Toshiba drivers and characteristics.

    Any suggestion will be welcome!

    Hello

You can buy a Microsoft Upgrade.
But to be honest, that I recommend to buy a full version of Win 7 Ultimate and do a clean install.

The advantage is that you could install this without early installation of Win 7 Home premium.
For example; If you purchase an upgrade you will need to first install Home Premium and you need to improve this OS to ultimate. This can be annoying if anything goes wrong with OS and you need to install it again
If you buy a ultimate full version, then you can install this OS immediately and directly without having to install Home Premium first.

PS: the drivers are the same for Home Premium and Ultimate.
