Using a wireless connection and a cross-over ethernet connection simulateously
I have a network in place as shown in the image below, with a cable to connect the PC Vista and XP laptop (indicated by a yellow arrow).
Whenever I connect the crossover cable, Network Magic displays the message "disconnected from the internet. Is this a problem specific to Network Magic, or there at - it something about Windows that prevents you to have two network connections simultaneously? The reason why I want to connect the computer laptop and desktop set was because I thought that I could transfer stuff faster backwards in this way, because they are side by side and a cable would offer greater speed of transfer of data connections G wireless.
It is Windose, I have a similar setup, but use an ethernet cable through the router whn I need to make a transfer between the 2. You can have only one connection at the same time. It happens also if you have a PDA Windose, mine connects via USB and when I want to synchronize with the laptop, the wireless disconnects.

I just installed a TalkTalk wireless router which seems to have installed correctly. However when I try to send and receive e-mail using Windows Mail, she wants to use a made up connection. How can I use the wireless connection? Thank you very much, Dianthus MJ.
Go to tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Connection and check or change the connection properties. You will need to remove the account and then add it again, but try first and also check tools | Options | Connections.

I try to connect my Acer Vista laptop for HP Officejet 7310 printer using a wireless connection. The printer is connected to a Dell XPS running Windows 7. Is there a way to do this?
Hello
Printers use a built-in wireless card and plug it into a power source, not your network or computer. After turning on the printer, you must refer to the documentation that came with the printer to set up a wireless connection for each computer.
I suggest you to download and install drivers from the link below

If my desktop pc is connected through CATV cable, I use the wireless connection?
We have a router that connects two laptop computers, a smart phone and smart TV, a Kindle reader and a printer.
I want to know is so that desktop shows a "wireless network connection", I actually use this connection if this computer is connected through a CATV cable? Specifically, if I disconnect in that regard, maybe would I win any speed for this computer or laptop computers that are located in different parts of the House?
And if so, how can I fix it so that it does not automatically each time connect that I boot?
Thanks for your advice.
It seems to me that you have a wireless router with many connected devices, including a desktop PC, and you want to know if forcing the PC being used a wired connection to the router, instead of a wireless connection, will increase speed or ease of use for one of your devices?
Short answer, probably yes, and it should not hurt anything.
Wireless network connections are all just more finicky than the wired connections. Without knowing the details of your router, I can't do any insurance policy, but reducing the pressure on your wireless radio components and its replacement by the PC with a wireless connection wired should not hurt anything and could help.
I guess CATV here means a type of wired network cable CAT-5 cable? If it's just a "CAT 5" cable, he'll only go 100 Mbps, which might be slower than your wireless router. However, 100 Mbps is probably faster than your internet connection at home (your speed of the router to the outside world), so it should be good. If it's a "CAT-5e" cable, so no problem.
To disable your wireless connection on the PC, go to control panel-> Device Manager command. You will get a window with a list of all the hardware devices on your computer, listed by category. A category must be "Network adapters" or something similar. Expand this category by clicking on it and find your wireless card (something something Wifi or wireless network card). Right-click, and then click on disable. Now your computer will be able to connect with the wired connection. When you want to cancel the process, simply repeat these steps and you will find that 'Disable' has been replaced with the option 'enable '.

When I double click on the printer in printers and Windows devices and click the estimated ink levels, I get a message "the computer is unable to establish two-way communication with the device.
I use a LAN to connect my PC to the printer and I noticed in the report to the printer that my Communication Mode is ad hoc. Is this the reason why it does not connect?
Please can someone point me in the right direction.

I solved the problem by ensuring that the printer was first connected to the Local network before asking for levels of printing.

My wireless Internet connection has stopped working when I converted to ATT DSL to ATT Uverse. My laptop sees the network and says I'm connected with all the green "bars". However, when I try to connect to the internet I have two things to happen. Either I get a long period which ends with the message that I can't connect to the network. Or - I can connect to the internet for a very short period of time - a part of a screen is displayed and then crashes. I entered the codes of security several times to ensure accuracy. How to solve this problem?

My laptop with Windows 7 (64-bit) can not see the other desktop PC running Windows XP via a wireless connection, except if it is plugged into my laptop so only I can see them on the network.
I checked all the working groups to ensure that all are the same. However, when my laptop into Wi - Fi, I could see the other wired desktop PC by specifying the network path in "search programs and files" to the start menu in the Windows 7 laptop, I was able to add network folder by specifying the drive letter for the connection and file I want to connect via a right click on the network to connect a network drive...
Then, finally I can access any other desktop pc wired to shared folder via the Wi - Fi by this method.
But I still don't see them on eventhrough network I can access by this method. Please help me solve this problem.

Wireless connection on Portege R100
I have a couple of portege R100. When you connect to my domain, using the wireless connection, the logon scripts fail to run the first time. If you log out, then log in again, the script will run without problem. Y at - it a fix for this problem?
Hello
Unfortunately have no proper explanation, but I guess that WLAN cannot be connected so fast that LAN and it may be the reason why the first logon fails. In my opinion it has nothing to do with the functionality of the device and this is just a feature of network.
Maybe some WLAN expert can give you a good explanation.
Good luck!

How to use safely wireless in a resort
In a wireless resort area. When the wireless connects I check and see many other people use it, but then I checked my printer and see other names on that too. I won't share my files or a printer with anyone. The only people I'd never share with would be to send photos from my computer. Why I see other names on the list of area printer? I understand why I see the other names on the wireless internet area.
How can I protect my computer security wise? I have McAfee and I have some of the security of Windows Defender, is - that enough for using a wireless connection, which I believe is noticed that unsecure.
Being in a zone of resort and the wireless connection is not secure, that's what I think.
