Greetings. I use Xperia Z5 with all the possible official updates installed, and because STAMINA mode missing on 6.0, I almost always use battery saver mode. My problem is, when I silence the phone in BS ring, it vibrate on incoming calls, but not messages or notifications. I tried no BS and it vibrated on both. How can I configure my phone vibrate on notifications when it is all two reduced to silence and activated battery saver?

No, you can't. This is how works battery saver. It limits the vibrations to important events only, in this case, the calls are important as an sms. vibration consumes more battery that is why it is limited by battery saver

    Hello

Have you ever had this problem before?

I recommend to update all your drivers and see if that fixes the problem.

If not, you can try to run the System File Checker to fix corrupted files: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833/en-us

You can try to repair the operating system using the recovery options:

Press F9 while booting and repair, choose the recovery options.

Also, if all else fails, you can try an in place upgrade, if you have the recovery media:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2255099

Note that this will remove the custom settings, but programs and files will not be affected.

However, I think that it is probably a hardware issue... many people report it, even on new laptops.

    I hope this helps!

  • Equium M50-164: Question about timer use & battery fan

    Hello!!

Just put your hands on my laptop equium m50-164 today and I wanted to clarify a few issues

    first of all,

I flashed my bios with the latest version and after restarting, fan kicks at full power and has not extinguished until I put the laptop in standby mode, this seemed to fix the problem but fan seems suddenly in much more than compared to before, fortunately the fan isn't the one 100% , but more like 15-20% every 30 seconds or one minute then goes into silent mode the fan does not reach 100%, unless I have do a reboot :),.

I know the fan will accelerate faster based on the use of the processor (thermal) etc. but is this normal? I talked to support and they wanted me to have an immediate replacement, but I said that I would wait a few days to see if she could calm :)

and finally looking at the electricity meter and other software tools there seems to be no calibration of the battery, with previous laptops, I noticed that numeric calculations are made based on the use of the battery and time [i.e. a timer] but with this laptop that I kind find a timer - I would of thought tha any computer laptop has this facility today!

    any advice would help

    see you soon

    Hi ephid0r

If the Toshiba service makes an instant replacement if you should take it.
Maybe there's something wrong with the hardware or software.

But as Feliks has suggested, you must first reinstall the Toshiba Power Manager.
This utility is responsible for the CPU and the cooling module activations.

PS: The time of battery life indication occurs if you move the cursor over the icon of standby power.

  • Having a cell phone without a data mobile use battery?

Quick question, although it might be a bit silly... the fact to have airplane off the coast with mobile data Mode (to just send SMS and call, idk what it's called) uses a lot of battery? Not make a call or something, but only at idle or using a Wi - Fi connection.

Yes, a cellular connection uses energy just sitting there. It reports periodically on its location on the network, so the network can find the phone for incoming calls. It does not usually use a lot of energy, but if you are in a weak signal area battery drain will be noticeable. And if you regularly lose signal completely, it may use more energy just trying to reconnect. In addition, some applications that are not well written will use energy in trying to update when there is no data connection, which will use energy.

  • Satellite L850 - after 1 year of use battery runs out quickly

Hi, through programs such as care or battery battery I see a Toshiba Satellite L850 * 48% battery wear * currently. I notice that a game, the battery runs out quickly, as the warm up by many things and often descalibra and behaves erratically.

The laptop is a year old. Is it normal that the battery to wear so much in so little time?
Would you accept a warranty or replacement of the battery may claim the wear caused by improper use?

    http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/6976/4f7k.jpg

First, please note that the battery working time depends on the use of the laptop.
Running applications heavy performance as a game would drain the battery very quickly. Why? Because parties such as GPU and CPU and cooling to highest performance and this modules needs power.
Also using the laptop with higher brightness may drain the battery faster.

You should also know that each battery would start to loose own performance after about 500 charge cycles. This is nothing unusual and happens to all batteries.

In order to avoid or slow down this process, its recommended to calibrate the battery from time to time.
Calibration of means of loading and unloading the battery fully.
Charge the battery until it could be fully charged, then disconnect the power adapter and keep the battery discharge up to his completely empty. Repeat 2-3 times in the line.

  • Satellite C660d-A2k - how to increase the backlight of the screen using battery operation

I bought a new computer laptop, installed all the drivers and it works.
How to turn on the backlight?

It works only when I charge the laptop. Turn off when it turns off.
If add to the brightness of the screen up and turn the screen gets brighter the load.

How to make led lights fixed, I put it in the market only when the load.

    Hello

The brightness of the display can be changed using the key combination FN + F6 (increase) and FN + F7 (decrease).
Have you read the user manual? This is mentioned in the manual that is preinstalled on your laptop.

In addition, you should also check power Win 7 Options.
You can find it in the control panel-> power options.

I guess that switches from laptop to another optimized battery Central while you disconnect the adapter. In this case the brightness of the screen falls down to ensure longest battery working time. You can change the level of brightness for this plant too.

  • Satellite 2430-301 uses battery plugged

    Hello!
Sometimes, when executing programs from CPU, my battery begins to discharge up to zero, while the Toshiba Energy Manager even acknowledges that the laptop is plugged. After leaving the program (game), the doesn´t of the battery starts to charge, but the laptop won´t, turn off because it gets the energy cable s.
    What harm there?
    Thanks for the help!

    Hi Hendrik,

It is possible that your power adapter begins to fail and cannot provide enough power for your laptop to meet any demand particularly heavy (such as using heavy graphics games). This will result in the power electronics from your laptop to battery power.

Sometimes, disconnect and reconnect the power cord will return things to normal.

    Kind regards

  • Recommended to use battery

Mr President, I am a Lenovo user for 7 months, I have a technical question. Is it good to run on battery or use a charger when I use it in my home? Please tell me how do I effectively use my laptop. Is it good to know on the AC adapter or battery for 1 or 2 hours of use

    Please advice

    Hello

The capacity is the length of time, you can run your system on a fully charged battery. It is normal for all

batteries lose capacity over time. Each time that unload you and reload your battery, you will lose

a very small amount of this capacity.

Part of the capacity can be recovered with the help of a more aggressive power management scheme.

You can also view specific information on your system; for example, some BIOS updated

include improvements to power management. Other systems have specific tools to help the battery life.

You can charge the battery while the computer is on or off.

After the battery pack was fully charged, you can operate the computer.

However, the battery meter may not correctly report the amount of load up to

the battery has been calibrated. It is therefore recommended that a new

battery calibrate quickly after the purchase.

    To maintain the measure

precision, Lenovo recommends periodic calibration on every 90 days to reassess

the energy, the capacity of storage cells. To complete the calibration of a battery, a

battery recharge must be followed by a full release without interruption.

Unless these two steps completed together, a proper calibration is not reached

    Hope this Helps

    See you soon!

  • NFC is turned off, BUT still using battery

Hello. I bought my Xperia double Z3 this new year. The battery performance was remarkable in the departure. He gave me at least 2.5 to 3 days on this time initial additional use when there is excitement on a new phone. Release minimal during the day before. And I've always used the pacifier.

Now, I noticed a regular drain on my battery. Sometimes it stays on a certain level for a long time like 1-2 hours, but sometimes 2-3% of fall right before my eyes. After awakening in the Moringa, it fell 5 to 10 percent. When the screen is off, I noticed 2-3% usage. It is now giving me within 2 days and I don't think I use too much of the screen as I did before.

I use constant services Wi - Fi and GSM (2G probably) in the mobile network settings. Mobile data connection, bluetooth, NFC etc. The main applications only installed Whatsapp, Skype, Viber, alarm Mimicker. I tried the endurance mode as well as with those applications in active standby mode, but rest of NFC.

When I check in battery usage statistics, NFC service is over the top, even though I never use NFC and it still isn't.

How can I get rid of this NFC? I don't think I'll ever use it. 3 or more days battery is much more preferable.

    Thank you.

P.S I suspect that service NFC arrived here after that I tried 'Smart Backlight Control' in the display settings. It was very convenient, but I immediately turned it off because I noticed that NFC has been enabled by its own. (I disabled NFC too).

There are a few gaps in your battery use chart. Those that are intended (ie you rebooted the phone manually) or not? If they are not your phone randomly restarts on its own.

Regarding your problem with nfc, I would try to launch the phone in SafeMode for awhile and see if it happens. If this does not happen them it is an application that you have installed acting upward. If this happens, then you should try to repair the firmware using CDP, and if he continues to be, then you may have a hardware problem. Also test if nfc actually works in the diagnostic menu.

  • Using battery and timer blackBerry Smartphones

Hello! I got my curve 8310 since late January and this weekend, the battery was drain much faster then usual even if I barely used the phone. It has been most of the time, but only receive texts and emails so more than usual and until that happened, I had very little battery power.

I loaded 100% last night and it turned off... so not use during the night

Has changed on this morning and showing only 60% of battery!

Also the timer keeps coming back whenever I do anything, never submitted to occur.

I called service provider and they suggested problem of battery, or set of hand or SIM card.

I ordered the new farm and in the meantime, I wanted another comment / helped, because I prefer not to have to send combined for repair, unless it IS the problem since it would mean that I am without a phone for 7-10 days!

A battery pull would help this situation?

Thoughts or comments would be appreciated before decide me what to do if the new battery makes no difference!

    Kind regards

    Gilly

You probably have an application or a couple running in the background. Turn off the unit turns off applications... not a battery pull (when turned on) will be does.

Your battery may also be simply bad calibrated with BlackBerry battery meter. See the information in this link for help on the calibration of the batttery.

  • Satellite C50-B16T - slow WiFi connection using battery power

    Hello

I have a new Satellite C50-B16T and discovered that when I take it off the power, wifi is slowing down as HELL, to the point that I can't even use it and have to connect it to the power.

I saw a few solutions on a TX adjustment, but my Satellite actually doesn't have this option, and if this is the case, I don't know how to find it and why it is happening.
Would really appreciate if anyone has any suggestions, since my laptop is now essentially a desktop all the time, which makes its pretty useless goal...

Go to-> WLan card device manager-> properties-> tab power management

Here, uncheck the option that allows the system to disable or control the unit in order to save energy.

Also check the tab 'Advanced' for possible energy saving options.
