• Canon Powershot S5IS + overexposed photos - error

  Hello

  hope it subject has not been discussed before - at least I haven't found it. If so, sorry to you all.

  My S5IS suddenly started taking overexposed pictures (totally white) outside (regardless of the settings, modes). The Interior is still overexposed with horizontal lines. The videos are always great, the phenomenon is only in photo mode.

  What I've tried: reset to fact. parameters, out of battery while long exposure to blocked if shutter Lair - nothing helps so far. Shutter works (in motion).

  It can be repaired? I'm willing to consider the solution apart as appropriate there. Warranty is of course complete.

  Any idea?

  I have a complete and repair manual S5IS work.

  You can get a good S5IS in working condition on the sites of the auction for much much less than the cost of a repair. Maybe in the range of $50. The most likely causes of your problem, such as listed in the manual is the main PCB CM1-4115-000 or the optical block CM1-4222-000, also called all of the lens.

  Good reading, at least, of this section, "How to disable or enable all AutoPlay in Windows 7 and other operating systems" of this document - http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/967715 to see if that would help its. Although the document starts saying its for XP and later for Vista, it then expressly mentions W7 in this section.

  Not sure if this can help, or not - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/161443-autorun-inf-files-completely-block.html (the bit to unblock). I have not tried it myself, just found by a search. Backup your important data (photos, documents, emails, etc.) first JUST to be safe.

  I wish I could download a preview of a delicate Adobe Stock Image, import it into PS CS6, and use it as a background for one of my images.  If it works, I would buy a licensed copy so that I can printing.

  You don't have to do anything special at all. Just download the image to your desktop and use it anyway you would use normally any other image.

• Rendering ARC of DNG files of photos taken with the new Canon Powershot G16 'PSE V10 + CR 6.4.1' and 'PES V13 + CR 8.6 "

  Because (for reasons that are not suitable to my questions): I can not reasonably migrate to new Versions of PSE and I'm more or less stuck for a few years for the use of PSE V10. I'm so looking for a relatively effective solution to the process/change (a small percentage) of the RAW files from my new future/camera (s) with the combination of PSE V10 and CR 6.4.1 (according to my understanding, PSE V10 does not support CR 8.6 - PSE V10 not even allows you to import new cameras RAW files in the PSE catalog).

  I was hoping that the DNG Converter could be a good solution for me. I intended

  • to convert the RAW files from my new camera (and my new future cameras) with an updated version of the DNG Converter,
  • import the .dng files in PSE V10
  • and then access to (and then for a few of them: change) DNG files with the combination of PSE V10 and CR 6.4.1.

  However, I felt recently, the profile only camera of the CR 6.4.1 that makes reasonably well my new compact camera Canon Powershot G16 DNG files is the 'Adobe Standard' of the camera profile.  In my tests with the combination of PSE V10 and ACR 6.4.1, rendering of these files with other CR 6.4.1 DNG profiles (for example the 'faithful camera' profile) (on colors and brightness/contrast) is really ugly and (to a layperson like me) more or less unusable (while rendering the same DNG file with the profile "Camera Faithfull" from the combination of CR 8.6 + PSE V13 is entirely reasonable).

  May I ask the following questions to someone who is familiar with the format, DNG and CR?

  1. My observations (i.e. made ugly of Canon Powershot G16 photos with the "profile trusty camera" ACR 6.4.1) correspond to what experts DNG should and expect?
  2. What is the likely reason for the ugly rendering of the 'faithful Camera' profile of the VC 6.4.1? The converter DNG not include a specific G16 'Faithful Camera' profile in the DNG file?
  3. Or do you think I did something wrong and I'm the one to blame for the ugly rendering with the 'Faithful Camera' profile used by CR 6.4.1? If this is the case: I have probably wrong and what can I do better?
  4. Do you think that the combination of the PSE V10 and CR 6.4.1, I'm having similar problems with the conversion to DNG Raw files in the future cameras as the successor to the Nikon D5300 or D7100 (which I'd probably buy once available)? Or do you think that the problems that I encountered with the Powershot G16 photos are not likely to occur with most other new camwras?

  Have you tried camera raw 6.7 in EPS 10?

My wife and I have iPhones with iCloud different accounts and share a MacBook Pro, which use us her iCloud account. We want to be able to use the photo stream to upload our photos on our iPhones to the Photos on the MacBook Pro app. Thank you.

  I don't think there is a way to link the two accounts iCloud in photos.app library.

  However, my partner and I are in the same situation as you and your spouse: two phones, a MacBook Pro (MBP) and the need to share the photos with others and to optimize the space of our digital camera shots.

  In short, we use the following:

  -Two Photos.app libraries; one on each user profile

  -Two photos of iCloud albums; one for each phone (each of download us the best of our photos of the iPhone) shared with the other

  -A system of photo files referenced on an external hard drive for our digital camera

  -An album to iCloud for digital camera (again, for the best DSLR shots) shared with each other

  With this configuration, we can display each other best shots on all Apple devices through the iCloud sharing feature, and you can see all of our DSLR photos without cluttering the internal SSD.  This system is also convenient when you backup using time machine (configured to capture the MBP and external hard drive), because only one instance of the photo should be saved.

  My only complaint is that files referenced photo can not be uploaded to iCloud photo library a user directly, even if the referenced files will be shown along the iPhone photos side in the Photos.app (hence the need for a DSLR iCloud photo album).

• I've recently upgraded to El Capitan of Lion.  My iPhoto library is also transformed into Photos.  In iPhoto, I used Photoshop as my editor in Chief of "standard / default.  I can't do that to work with Photos, all I can't get is the photo editor.

  I've recently updated to Lion at El Capitan and my library of more than 40 000 iPhoto was also improved (?) photo.  He ran all night.  I used Photoshop as my editor of "standard/default" in iPhoto, but now I can't seem to appear in the photo is the photo editor, which is not enough for my purposes.  I have found a workaround that requires images to export], edited and then re-imported to the Photos, but I lose all the original images.  Can I have Photoshop become my default editor for Photos, as if it was in iPhoto?

  3rd party editing application must be updated to work with the new structure of the El Capitan and Photos before they will be able to work seamlessly with Photos.

  In the meantime we must export the original file in the office using the menu option file ➙ export Original unmodified for 1 Photo and edit the file there.

  To be able to share Outlook, it must provide an extension of application for sharing by mail. Apple Mail has such an extension, but the version of Outlook I have installed (version 15.13.4), does not provide a menu app extension share, and therefore it is not possible to use it for sending photos directly from Photos.  I don't know if the new version of Outlook includes an update to the app extensions.

• Very slow / freeze while working with photos in Photoshop Elements and Canon DPP

  Suddenly my Windows XP has become very slow or crashes when working with photos.  I have Canon DPP and Photoshop Elements installed, and in the two following occurs: I can edit a photo without any problem but when I try to work with a second picture the system slows down / freezes.  It unlocks after a minute or two each time.  I tried cleaners registry check disk, Disk Defragmenter, virus, etc. etc. scans and no problems.  All other works very well and this problem started just out of nowhere.  Any suggestions or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

  DSC_2429 is in the shown locaton and present in all the Photos, but there is no folder "Tulsa"... "in the tree.

  The left pane is a "choose one". "All photos" are just that. 'G' is a different option.

  Lightroom is not a file Explorer. He knows only the drives and files that you have imported the photos of. If LR shows not all of the photos that are on your hard drive, it is because you did not import all photos.

  If LR shows you a photo in "all photos" but do not show it in the folder you think he is in, go to "all photos", select the image, right click "view in the library folder. This will show you where LR think the picture is.
