Using groups of Windows Mail contacts without displaying the FIELD email addresses; and without having to use the BCC field?

I want to see all the names of everyone in the group in the TO field: only the names of individuals in the Contact Group and NOT to display their individual addresses alongside their names; and I don't want to use the BCC field (because it will appear all the names). Is this possible?

Unless you have included their address in a part of the field name, the addresses must disappears from view when sending. That said, all they need do is click on transfer, reply to all, or view the message source and they see all the addresses. That's why the BCC option was created. Bruce Hagen

  • How can I import groups of Windows Mail contacts in Windows Live Mail?

    I work in a small office where we have computers running Windows Vista and using Windows Mail (version 6.0.6000.16388).  We have hundreds of contacts and a few contact groups on these computers.

    A few months ago, we got two new computers running Windows XP and Windows Live mail (version 2009, version 14.0.8089.0726).  Other computers at the office always have Vista and the other version of Windows Mail.

    I was able to export our hundreds of contacts and import them into Windows Live Mail for new computers have all the contacts... but I was unable to find a way to import groups.

    These groups are all very large and comprise mostly/entirely out of contacts that do not have individual contact entries.

    I've been Googling for a solution to this problem.  The page nearest you, that I could find was this:

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/3818-Windows-Live-Mail-import-Vista-contacts-contact-groups.html

    I was very discouraged when I saw the big red warning to the top of the page:

    ---------------
    In the Groups of Contact with Vista, only contacts who are also included as normal Contacts will be imported into Windows Live Mail. Contacts that have been created for the Contact Group only will not be imported into Windows Live Mail. You will need to write these down and add them manually in Windows Live Mail.
    ---------------

    This pretty much described my situation exactly, but manually going through all groups, write all contacts, and then import them manually into two separate machines should always and is simply not an option.

    Are there really no other way I can get these groups into Windows Live Mail?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you very much!

    I have not actually tried this, but I think this method will work.

    1. get a free Live ID (or @hotmail.com or @live.com).

    2. install Windows Live Mail on Vista computer. During the installation, it will offer to signature with a Live ID. Do.

    3. the first performance of Windows Live Mail, it will be important to all contacts from Windows Mail. Give him enough time to synchronize all contacts with the web version of this Live ID.

    4. open Windows Live Mail on the new computer and then connect with the same Live ID. The automatic synchronization process will transfer in all contacts of the web version of this Live ID.

  • Reinstalling Windows Mail Contact List

    I had to reinstall my whole computer, because it crashed with an update of Windows 'stuck '.  I have my Windows Mail contact list saved on my C drive, and also have a CD of it.  I tried to import the list, but I can't make him - how can I put my contacts back in Windows Mail without having to re - type the entire list?  Thanks for any help

    I've never had the pleasure, it's just a JOKE. Assuming that you have saved the file containing the list of contacts, move it from the CD to the desktop. Right click on the folder. Properties and make sure it is not marked read-only and then try to import from there.

  • Sending messages to a group with Windows Mail

    I have 64 bit Windows Vista with the Service Pk 2 on my Dell computer. I used Windows Mail successfully several months I got the computer, including the sending of a large group of a newletter mail each week.  Last week, I did some cleaning and some names removed from my Contacts folder. This week, when I tried to send my newsletter, he seemed to go and appeared in my 'sent' folder, but no one has received.  I tried to send a total of 4 times now, and it has not disappeared yet.

    I have some suggestions, but that's all. I'll assume that the altered list of contacts is a coincidence that you have no error message.

    When a message in sent items, it was received by your ISP intact and the problem is somewhere from this point on. There are a few exceptions.

    1: Analysis of e-mail messages can fool Windows Mail by thinking that the message has been sent.

    Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:
    http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

    Why you don't need your anti-virus to scan your email
    http://thundercloud.NET/infoave/tutorials/email-scanning/index.htm

    Note that for some AV programs, it may be necessary to uninstall the program and reinstall in custom Mode and uncheck analysis when the option is the result of e-mail messages. Your best bet is to do it without worrying.

    2: How many people send you to the? It is possible that your ISP has reduced the authorized number. Check the mind, especially if you can send to a group of say 5 people without any problem.

    3: You can have a message stuck in the Outbox or sent items, even if you don't see it.

    After a system crash, restore, all my contacts are still in the main window of Windows mail Contacts, but now when I create a new message and click on 'To', all contacts have disappeared from my list of contacts. How to make their return in the list without having to re-enter them one by one which would take forever? I am running Vista Home Premium.
    Thank you.

    Hello

    Try the following article, it can be applied as happened after the restoration:

    How can I print the individual lists in a group of Windows Mail?

    There is no printing functionality in Windows Vista Mail group.

    However, if you highlight all the individuals that you want to print, then click Print in the toolbar, it will print out them pretty much the same way that you would expect from a group.

  • Remove contacts duplicate Windows Mail contacts list

    original title: Windows Mail Contact List

    Due to a problem of software of Samsung download many of my contacts in windows mail has been copied several times. I need to remove hundreds of duplicate contacts. Will never delete one at a time. Can you advise how to highlight that both 30 and remove at once? Thank you

    These keystrokes work in most lists in Windows:

    1. Click on an item to select it;
    2. Click on an item to select it, hold CTRL and click on either one to be selected at a time;
    3. Click on an item to select it, hold the SHIFT key and click another to select both and everything in the meantime;
    4. Click on an item to select it, hold CTRL and press A to select all the items.
    Press DELETE to remove the selection.

    You will find it easier to select multiple items in the Contacts folder, if you select view > Details.

    Hi, J3Webster,

    Click on the column header for the column name.  It will sort by name.
