Using headphones with microphone

If I buy a Logitech G230 helmet. It has two audio jacks of 3.5 mm (one for the microphone) and one for the actual headset

I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid 2012) that has an audio jack.

If I bought this headset adapter:

Would I be able to use a headset with my laptop?

-Thank you

I don't know anything about this product but suggests that you can get a USB headset with microphone.

  • Headphones with microphone, only works at a time

So I have a few pairs of headphones with a microphone attached. There is that one helmet on any of them. They all work, I tested on other computers. However, when I have more of them in the headphone jack on the PC, they produce the sound, but the microphone does not work. The reverse is also true - if I plug into the microphone jack, the microphone works, but they make no noise. Can someone help me with this? Thank you!

You need an adapter to divide your headset to separate microphone and headphone Sockets. Something like this:

    separator http://www.Amazon.com/STARTech-MUYHSFMM-headset-splitter-adapter/DP/B0058DOWH6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&QID=1389596413&SR=8-2&keywords=headphone+mic+

The other PC probably has a making of (3 rings) combo that allows the microphone and headphones to work using the single plug.

    Hope this helps

  • Using headphones with Satellite L670D-105

    Data:
    Toshiba Satellite L670D-105
    Windows 7 64
    Realtek HD Audio Manager

I am trying to connect a headset, but it only partially works.
Most of the Realtek software above is not available for me.

In other words, the headphones work, but I can't access to portions of the software that would allow me to switch from headphones and speakers. That was my main problem early.

The speakers work, but the sound from the laptop cannot be disabled, since these options in the software are not available for the changes for me.

I hand in the laptop soon, who was the Adviser of the Forum German Toshiba.
[Just look at the photos: steckerbild - lender.blogspot.de] and to ignore the funny language.

It was from the start that caps should be able to move more completely than they, like everyone else has so far. The first photo shows you how they still stick, I put white on paper to show the part which cannot be convinced to go in others.

The next picture below shows the plugs attached to the laptop. It feels because they do not completely connect, I can't access the software and switch from the headset to the speakers.
These software options are not available for me.

That's when I contacted Toshiba Forum speaking German and they advised me to use force, which honestly does not help, or by hand in the laptop.

any ideas? Is this a known issue?

    Hello

As far I know the phone head and takes three drivers support simple microphone input mini jack 3,5.

Images provided by the link in your post shows exactly this 3.5 mm mini jacks 3 drivers.

    > In other words the headphones work, but I can't access to portions of the software that would allow me to switch from headphones and speakers

I found a thread on the same topic:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=65295

The sound came through the speakers, even if the helmet has been inserted.
In the upper right corner, there is a little yellow folder called "the connector settings."
Here, you can re-enable the setting "enable popup dialog box, when the unit is plugged.
So now when you plug-in an external speaker or a headset, it appears, and I select the option "helmet" (instead of "line-in"), and then the sound only through the headphones / speaker ext.

    can someone help me.

    Thank you.

    HI @Rajatsharma_yam ,

Thank you for your request, I will do my best to help you.

I understand that when you connect your headphones combo and mic the MIC part does not work.

You did all your Windows updates?

Did you run HP Support Assistantto ensure you have the latest HP drivers installed.

If you look at the physical connector can bands how you see on it?  You should have 3 or 4 strips.

Are you sure that they are connected in the helmet and the port on the laptop.

When you have the combined headphone connected go to control panel / sound and open the window.

Click the recording tab, is the listed microphone?  You should be able to select and configure from this window.

Here is a link to headphones and headset problems (Windows 8) resolution which can also be of assistance.

    Good luck!

    Hello

You can change the audio source to the other microphone on the application you're using. You will not need any additional software to do this. Also check your recording volume control. You may be able to change this for all applications.

He had instlled software Realtek but no option to use the IDT internal microphone

Hello. As you say, your laptop has audio Realtek so it is unclear what you mean by "Microphone internal IDT. Dell doesn't use audio Realtek so IDT in the same model of laptop.

Here are some other ways to save in addition to using the built-in microphone.

    > External mic. Because the Inspiron 7537 only has a headphone jack, you can't use a regular computer microphone which would have a TRS plug, but instead, you must use a headset with a plug from SOCKET that looks like this:

"Headphones" is the headphones with a microphone. You can also use a regular mic which has a TRS plug if you get an adapter to convert it to a plug from SOCKET. The adapter is called a "helmet buddy."

    > A usb microphone.

    > If you want to record a stereo signal, you can do that through your headphone socket because its entry is mono only. To save the stereo, you need an adapter usb audio with a "line-in" socket Don't get one that has only a mic jack because it will be only mono too.

I want to record from a file

    > If the file is already in your computer, you can internally record in the computer by selecting 'stereo mix' as default device in the recording of the sound Properties tab. If you do not see the stereo mix, right-click in the empty area of the tab to open the context menu and select "Show disabled devices". (You must have your installed Realtek audio driver).

  • Headset with Microphone plugged in but not detected

Recently, my brother got a Philips SHM7410U Philips PC Headset with Microphone and tried to make it work for him. It's probably 'plug and play' as it came with no instructions except that. It is plugged in, but my computer does not detect the microphone or headset. The headphones are not listed in the playback devices, and while the microphone is listed, it is said that it is not plugged. They are certainly in the right decision. Not too knowledgeable in the resolution of this type of problem and could use some help.
