  I used IE8 to search for Windows updates for my xp sp3 box. Met the following error to try several of these days:

  iemplore.exe - Application error
  The instruction at '0x0a4a0068' referenced memory '0x0a4a0068 '. The memory could not be "written".

  Click on Ok to terminate the program.
  Click on Cancel to debug the program.

  What is the meaning of the above error?

  I installed Spyware Doctor, MBAM and S * PERAntiSpyware for other than the FSIS 2010 additional scans.

  Tried the following:
  (1) change windows update option to warn me of updates.

  (2) restart the system after you apply the updates.

  (3) IE8-> check updates. Now it's ok.

  OK, I'm back with the eternal question. How can I get an icon of Web site that is saved on my desktop to open in a maximized State? I'm using IE8 and Vista 64-bit. Internet Explorer window opens now enlarged very well, but all of the icons that I save on my desktop have no function enlarge when I right click the icon. All previous efforts such as you drag the image up, then close it while holding down the control key didn't work. I installed a third-party program, "Autosizer", which works fine until the last round of Windows updates. Now it has compatibility problems, so I had to uninstall this program. Microsoft has a fix yet? Help, please.

  This procedure works perfectly for almost any version of Windows, including Windows 7. I just bought a computer with Windows 7 and had the same problem, but I set myself for this procedure. Here it is again. This should do it for you as long as long as you follow the steps correctly. Now all Windows IE to open come expanded no matter what I use to open them. I use the right-click of the links opening in a new window all the time and now they are all open. It is true of all the desktop icons that I do for Web pages as well as for all the shortcuts located in the taskbar. Everything works fine now. The funny part is that the solution to this problem is exactly the same as it was for XP or Vista. I think we just were we not followed the steps correctly, but in any case, here is the solution:

  Open a Web page. Soft at full size. Do not use to maximize.
  Choose any link on this Web page and right click > open in a new window.
  Stretch this second window to the size desired-do not use maximize.
  Close the first window of IE. Then close this second resized window.

  This is exactly as it was in previous versions of Windows. It worked perfectly for me. Good luck with it.

  You cannot copy and paste images (especially the cliparts) of the word.  You need to refer to a disk image.  So use Insert | Picture to insert the image.  The image must also be a format that IE can display, as it is used to show messages in WinMail.

  Sometimes, when I open my IE8 browser, it will automatically make a connection to the internet, but sometimes it cannot, and the browser displays a blank page. I already check the internet option for the connection and check that you select the option of middel - whenever there is no link, make a dial connection for something like that.  If the display of a blank page, when I check the connection setting, I get no idea why the first - ever the dial for the connection is selected.

When I start recording, I get a pop up asking me to change/disable the XSS filter in IE8. I altready done this and restart the browser. But the same pop-up message arrives.

  It has nothing to do with any browser you use. I tried this in Win 7 & Win 8 so it doesn't matter because you are in your e-mail account and that's where you want to be.
  Here, you answer:
  Click on TRANSFER
  In the BOX ENTER in TO the receiver
  Move your mouse to the email you forward and left click. This will give you the location of the blinking cursor and when you click the previous button will erase the info you want to delete. To continue to remove each line, you must position your cursor on the blank line below or next to the info you want to delete.
  Now, I hope that you get not confused because some people refer to the pointed arrow as cursor that is NOT. The cursor is the flashing vertical line that everyone sees and uses to enter and write text.

  Check if the credentials Manager service is started and set to automatic.

  1. click the Start button, type services.msc and press ENTER.
  2. scroll down to the credentials manager, right-click on it and select Properties
  3. click on the general tab, select Automatic for startup type.
  4. click the dependencies tab and make sure that all addictions services are set to automatic. Then click on the OK button.
  5. right click on the service credential manager and select Start.

• The padlock icon indicating that a website is safe never appears on sites like paypal or my bank sites. How will I know if it's safe for me to use?

  I'm moving to use IE8 for Mozilla Firefox. When I access my banking Web sites and Paypal on IE8, the secure lock icon always appears next to the address. When I try to use FF, none of the Web sites show all icons padlock secure, so I'm afraid to connect to these Web sites using this browser.
  This sounds really weird as I thought FF was supposed to be safer. If the padlock icon does not appear, should I refrain to connect to these sites?

  Check the extended certificate of Validation is much more important than a padlock icon, which can be "faked" by a Web site.

  The current versions of Firefox appear, so if you don't see something wrong with your user profile Firefox.

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the lock is there. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that disables some settings and disables most Add-ons (extensions and themes).

  • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
  • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
    (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

  Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

  

  If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. Please follow the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

• While using the FF browser, a window appeared, telling me I had an outdated version and should upgrade and it will not install or I would uninstall to re

  First of all, I have Windows XP/HE/SP3 and my main browser is IE8, although I have also have Google and had, FF V #21. And when you use the FF browser, warned that my current version was exceeded, etc., even when I just installed V #21 only 1 week ago but I took word FF for her and clicked on (x'd) to install the upgrade. The application (AP) used for installation was called "Optimum Installer" and had the word "Firefox" in smaller print in the upper left. This diff seemed AP I used to install just 1 week before, but since I used IE8 install FFV #21 initially, I thought that the FF browser used this AP "Optimum", so I did. The small window and then said, "you have chosen to open this file" and yet there is no option 'open' to 'save', or cancel. So I x'd on 'save' and my Norton File Checker jumped up to tell me this file is 'safe '. But subsequently no installation window appears, then I tried to DL the file again and still no windows installation after a total of 8 attempts. I finally found the configuration file in 'my documents' and opened it and x'd for install. It seemed to work ok, tho even once, I was asked a lot of questions on doing them so and these my default browser or search engine, or home page, etc., and even others, but I declined, I think, but of course not a misunderstandings possible. in any case, the AP told me that I had managed to install this new version of FF. So of course I wanted to open it and see how it would work and I am went to my task bar of the bar/notification to X on the icon of the globe and instead it showed a 'setup' icon I put my mouse beneath him and he says "Mozilla Firefox" so I went ahead and x'd on it waiting for FF to open. Instead, a small warning telling me I had to restart for the installation to complete, I did, but no change. Tried at least half a dozen times and nothing new in or no, version of FF works now on my pc. I tried to look at the support, but no answers, then tried to uninstall and it don't let me do this, it keeps saying that "your computer must be restarted to complete a previous update; Yet who already has not worked. Also, I went to a #21 a v #13.0.1 with 77 MB + space V, which is more FF #21. Now, I think this version is corrupt and really don't want, but cannot get rid of it. I even tried to reinstall V21 (also of IE8, since I don't have FF browser now) and it goes up to a point, but also tells me so I can't get this V21 until I complete an installation/upgrade from another version. So basically, I have what I believe is a software on my pc, corrupted/malicious who is called Mozilla V #13.0.1 - I cannot get rid of and also impossible to reinstall the version I had, less I complete installation of the one I have, but don't think that I want now. Remember also, I can't make suggestions of in the browser of FF that have been suggested, because I never saw, only IE8 and Google... Any suggestions?

• My policy of printing using Firefox is very low but is normal is I use IE so how to fix it.

  When I use Firefox as my browser, and then go into Yahoo mail or my account medical Tricare or Google Maps and print an e-mail message, a notice of payment or map directions summary, police print comes out very small, almost unreadable. If I do the same thing using IE8 as my browser, the fonts to print out normal (Times New Roman 11 I think) as I've always had and it is easy to read. How can I get the front print Firefox to normal size?

  Try to adjust the print scale: file > Page Setup > "Format & Options": scale (deselect: "Shrink to fit page width")
