  I have a 34972 Agilent connected by USB to a Windows 7 computer. I'm using LabWindows/CVI and VISA drivers.

  I can't find a way to set up a callback that will respond to an alarm on the Agilent event, IE. the Agilent is configured so that certain combinations of signal to generate an alarm (it could be any other event of the instrument-it ends up in the STB registry, similar to that on a GPIB instrument) and I want that my program LabWindows to respond to this event (for example to run a callback routine). With GIPB I ibnotify() etc, but I can't find the equivalent on this combination (USB/VISA).

  Any ideas?

  At the bottom of page 4 there are some things to consider when you use the callback mechanism. Most important is that you need to install a handler function, viInstallHandler(), before activating the viEnableEvent() event.

  When I tried to install the interface GPIB-USB on my computer it tells me I must uninstall nidaq traditional, but I need nidaq traditional also.

  Is it possible to have both installed and functional? Is there a work around?

  When I went back to look at the message I think he wanted me to uninstall a driver inherited NOR-488, so I advanced and uninstalled.

  But he said traditional legacy of NOR-DAQ. I was unable to see my card GPIB with Max is why I wanted to install the USB-GPIB.

  After installing now I am able to see the card GPIB and USB-GPIB interface. Must of had a bad driver, I suppose?

  So now I will run another test to make sure that NEITHER-traditional DAQ still works also. But so far so good.

  There is also a wide range of instruments and effects plug-ins free-buy music electronic magazine, many come with a wide range of free downloads, samples and real plug-ins (e.g. Computer Music magazine). They are usually VST, but many are THE (compatible logic) too.

  Yes, 2 GB to AIFF. B: standard files are limited to 4 GB, but LPX then supports the RF64 WAVE format that allows for files > 4 GB (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RF64)

  You could bounce back to a .wav file or a CAF.

  If everything is on your external drive, then just eject this drive, unplug it, plug it into your MPB, turn it on, work.

  Hi, I believe that the USB Port is designed for storage only. It is not compatible HID devices (mouse, keyboards, etc...).

• Using waves 9 with Logic Pro 9

  What are the steps needed to get waves 9 plugins working in LP9?  Instructions for installation and activation on the waves site don't mention any measures specific to the installation of audio devices, but I thought I understand there are (or there is one, at least).  Here's what I did:

  1. in the course of the weekend bought some 9 waves plugins

  2. installed using easy install and activate in the Central application of waves.

  3A started LP9.  The new plugins were not analyzed by the validator to THE and do not appear in the AU Manager.

  4 find the waves to THE Reg utility and it ran.  The message that I thought 'found 8 AudioUnits components in 3 plug-in files...   Have you transferred your licenses of waves to your computer or a drive connected to the computer?
