Using nearly 1.5 GB of ram at the start itself

My question is with Windows Vista Home x 64 edition, iam this running on 32-bit Intel processor core 2 duo laptop, 2 GB of Ram and my boot itself my system takes 1.5 to 1.6 GB of Ram and I had already stopped all unwanted process starts where all I know. Can any one please help me? because after runninc certain applications that my systems need less memory to run, even I stopped my antivirus in the start, but still the problem persists

Hello

If you use memory intensive programs, open files, or need to open a large number of programs
at one time you would benefit from more memory.

You can add memory, or use a very fast Flash DRIVE for READYBOOST.
The combination allows more however, either will help some when using memory of pigs.
(Those who use a lot of memory, large files, or to have a lot of programs open at the same time).

(A QUICK Readyboost drive is the best cheapest bang for buck. The only time where you will notice
It is during these pigs are at stake).

ReadyBoost uses up to 4 GB of disk space for caching, which can allow the computer to
run a little faster especially when a large number of programs are running (or some that use huge)
data files as photoshop).

To use a USB stick in the USB port and it must initialize and appear as a drive
Space in the start - menu computer or Windows Explorer. You can then COPY or SAVE files to
the reader. To remove the drive using the Safely Remove Hardware icon near the clock in
Lower right corner.

Don't forget that the readyboost max cache is 4 GB. If your device is more than you can use it to

My question is actually very specific: when I keyin track using Media Player Info, is this info inserted in the file itself, or only in the index of Media Player? If I have to rebuild the indexes in the metadata file, the indexed fields are kept in?

Only in the index of Media Player.  If you remove this file WMP (without actually deleting the computer/folder) and then read the file again, you would see that your changes have disappeared.

To actually change the file, you will need a program known as ID3 Tag Editor.

  • Using the coordinates entered to set the starting point of a Tween

    Hello

I have a movieclip 'pano_mc' that moves around through the movement of the mouse, there is a hotspot (hs1_mc) nested within it (which moves with the Pano_mc), I have a hs1_mc event delivery, once pressed allows me to get the x and y 'pano_mc' at the point of delivery, I need a way to use these x and y corodinates to set the starting point for the interpolation , on Pano_mc.

Cannot use 'this' (as shown in the link above) that the event is on the hs1_mc and if I just use '_x' interpolation setting, it begins where the film is originally and not where it is when the delivery is executed, where I get the cordinates right here.

    var hotSpotTweenX:Tween = new Tween (pano_mc, "_x", mx.transitions.easing.Elastic.easeOut, 0, "400", 3, true);

Is there a way to fill '_x' with the var newx:Number = stagePosition.x; who holds the accurate cordinate of the pano_mc at the time of the press...

I need to be able to use the coordinates xy of the pano_mc captured by the delivery, to set the starting point of the interpolation which then tweens the movie at a predefined point... create an interpolation of seemless...

Can anyone shed some light on this... Thanks in advance

"_x" isn't the starting value. This is the property you're interpolation. your ' 0 'is the starting value and your '400' (which really shouldn't be in quotes) is the value of end to resolve your problem, use a variable instead of ' 0'.

  • Internet Explorer 8 develops in the memory; use possibly 1.43 gigabytes of RAM; crashes; Help!

So a few days ago I installed Internet Explorer 8. I was sick of IE7 suck as much memory up, nearly 1.5 gigabytes of RAM. But I was wrong, that the upgrade would be useful. Whenever I start IE8, it occupies about 50 000 kilobytes of memory, not so bad. 30 minutes and 15 pages later, Internet Explorer is up to 400,000, that's not that bad, right? Nope. 45 minutes later, Internet Explorer is slowing down and using a whooping kilobytes 1.43 million, almost 3/4 of my RAM. 1 minute later, IE8 works all together. My first suspicions lead me to believe that modules * have been behind this madness, I have so removed and uninstalled all the. Did not work. Delete all temporary files. No beef. I searched the web for answers, but I found nothing. The problem is so boring that I use my old Sony VAIO, instead of my Vista. Help, please!

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

Here are some things you can try to solve this problem.  It is not normal that IE, either 7 or 8.

Try running IE8 with disabled modules. First make sure that all instances of
IEXPLORE. EXE are completed in the Task Manager (press Ctrl + Shift + Esc your)
keyboard, processes tab, complete the IEXPLORE process all. (EXE).

Go to start > programs > Accessories > system tools > Internet Explorer (No.)
Add ons) to start IE8 without any add-ons. Try to use the browser and see if
    It works now.

If it's work, start IE8 normally, go to tools (if the menu bar
does not appear, press the ALT of the keyboard) > manage add-ons. Here,
Disable all add-ons that you need not under "currently loaded.

In addition to the above, you can try to disable the protection of memory of IE8 and
see if it helps. Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > advanced > under
'Security', uncheck the box "enable memory protection help ease online
    attacks > OK

Otherwise, you can use the free Microsoft for IE8 phone Support

  • Is it allowed to use 1 GB + 256 MB of RAM in Satellite P25-s607

I have a Satellite P25-s607, and I wanted to know the following:

    (1) if it is allowed to install only a single 1 GB stick of RAM next to a 256 MB stick? Do I lose any speed performance this versus 2 sticks of 1 GB (in assuming that I use less than 1 GB of RAM, most of the time)? It seems that there is a performance hit since this model supports dual-channel memory (according to crucial.com)

    (2) I guess that's the correct module (better) to use: [1 GB, 200-pin SODIMM, DDR PC2700 | http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=3B53A794A5CA7304] with specs:
    # Module size: 1 GB
    # Package: 200 - pin SODIMM
    # Feature: DDR PC2700
    # File: DDR PC2700 CL = 2.5 unbuffered NON ECC DDR333 2.5V 128Meg x 64

    (3) is there a reason to install BIOS 2.10? It is listed under under P25-S607-associated toshiba support site, but the only change it says is: "Added support for the D1 Pentium 4 CPU stepping.

    (4) is it possible to install a better processor? I guess not...

    (5) what graphics card (it came with NVIDIAî Geforcea? ¢ of the FX Go5200 graphics controller; external video memory 64 MB DDR)? Also I guess not...

    Thanks for any help!

    Hello

With regard to the number of question:

    (1) the laptop can be upgraded up to 2 GB of RAM, and this is why you can use a 1 GB of RAM and a 256 MB module. But it of always better if you want to use identical memory modules. It is better for performance, but I doubt you will notice a performance boost.

    (2) Yes, you must use the 200-pin SODIMM, DDR PC2700 modules

    (3) If your laptop runs then I put t problem see no reason for an update of the BIOS

    (4) usually it's s not advisable to upgrade the processor because of a superior heat dissipation and overheating due to better CPU performance

    (5) it is certainly not possible because the GPU is attached on the map

    Welcome them

  • Re: Can I use more RAM as the official limit on Satellite L40 - 18z

Has anyone installed MORE than the official limit of 2 GB?

    Hello

    Why should someone try it?

    I want to say that the upgrade of RAM depends on various factors;
If you want to use more than 2 GB of RAM then you should follow the und BIOS chipset would support this.
If the mentioned parts n t support this, then you can not move it

That article only and is not a secret

  • use 64-bit for what is faster our pc or games? using 64-bit 4 GB ddr3 ram can I fast performance or using 32-bit 4 GB ddr3 ram also gives the same speed?

    Hello!

I am a bigger fan of microsoft and want to work with you all but my age is not perfect for working with you all, so, for now I just know every thing about windows...

    (1) use 64-bit 4 GB ddr3 ram me gives better performance than 32-bit...

    (2) is of 32-bit is good for the day of work and game performance...

    (3) I am using windows 7 ultimate

    Thanks for the answer...

With only 4 GB it is not to change to 64-bit because it actually uses the more than 32-bit ram.

  • Windows 7 64 bit using 3 GB of 8 GB RAM when idle.

I've noticed recently that Windows 7 64 bit using 3 GB of RAM slowed.  When I start first of all, the use of the RAM is about 1.2 GB or more.  However, after that my computer has been for some time, that number slips slowly up to 3 GB without me all other running programs.  I thought it could be virus/spyware/malware, so I formatted and did a new install.  The same day as the new installation, I noticed the same behavior.

Is this normal?  Windows 7 is recommended to use 3GB 8 GB inactive?

Thanks in advance for any help!

My issue was not with Windows 7 using large amounts of RAM "at random".  The question I saw consisted of RAM usage to leave about 1 GB and slowly creeping up to 3 GB and stay there until I rebooted.

Through several days of trail and error, I found the problem.  In general, I use a download manager to download files (free download manager, FDM).  There is apparently a problem with FDM and Windows 7 I have observed that the question of the RAM with FDM run and I have yet to observe with FDM, no matter what I do.  Either way, I used this same version of FDM Windows XP and never had any problems with the use of the RAM.  Therefore, I'm not sure if it's a FDM problem or a problem with running on Windows 7 FDM (although my experience with FDM and XP leads me to believe that there is a problem with FDM running on Windows 7).
Without FDM running Windows 7 RAM use is between 880 MB and 1.5 GB.  Everyone know the RAM on this amount use likely has several processes that run in the background as Windows 7, when idle, should never require more than that.

  • Windows 7 uses a lot of RAM during the idling

What happened since I have my laptop. I noticed that my windows 7 uses above 1.55 GB just idling. I mean im doing nothing! For now, he uses a bit little more because I have a few programs that start like SugarSync (cloud storage) and lightscreen (to take multiple screenshots without having to save them manually). Right now these programs use 14 864 (lightscreen) K and 27 192 K (SugarSync). I like the speed, so I have disabled many startup programs in msconfig. This is Adobe reader, Apple Push, Facebook update, Google update, GoogleDrive, Hp Quick Launch, Hp QuickWeb, iTunes, Logitech Download Assistant, SansaDispatch, LaunchBox HP, Skype, steam and Microsoft OneNote. So I have very few programs that I kept. My anti-virus is Kaspersky. The reason why I bring this up is that I need the RAM because I sometimes run a server minecraft and minecraft client with some other programs such as Skype and internet explore (by the way that I went from chome to IE10 because I love the metro look and how it behaves).  The thing that bothers me is that when I look at another computer windows 7 or my computer windows 7 friends they all use approximately 1.2 GB of RAM or less. How is it mine use so much? Is there a way to have Windows 7 use less RAM?

    My specs are:

    Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)

    6 GB OF RAM

AMD A8 3520 M APU with graphics card Radeon HD with 1.60 GHz

I end this laptop a year ago.

EDIT: Just happened a few minutes after I posted this and it never happened to me before. I was sailing on a new tech Web site when all of a sudden my computer makes a * BOOP * sound. the mouse started trolling then stopped all together. The fan is stronger and stronger and I couldn't do anything about. I had to force reboot and now all seems fine. Any ideas on what this is?

    Hello Nathan,.

RE: 512 MB VRAM - I have twice this and I repeat what I said earlier, ",""my office has 8 GB of RAM and my video card Radeon HD takes 3348 MB of RAM to lend to my video card that has only 1 GB of VRAM on it. And given your use of Minecraft, I don't have what you are ready to video, but I guess that's a lot. "

It's the GB.3 my video card is my RAM (System) the loan principal. The same amount which is the difference between your computer and your friends. And you have different programs on your machine, or are they also set up as a server / clients? Each machine is different, there are differences even in models from the same manufacturer.

The amount of RAM you are talking about 'missing' is low. If you are short on RAM that 3 tenths of a means of GB that much - upgrade your amount of RAM immediately.

In fact, if you want to compensate for it 3 tenths of a GB of RAM place a 4, 8, 16 or 32 GB flash drive to a free USB port and dedicate it to ReadyBoost see this article for instructions and the performance benefits: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/using-windows-readyboost-to-increase-performance/ . I have a 16 GB key on both my office of 8 GB on my laptop 2 GB. This works.

Let me know how you fare.

    Kind regards

  • After Effects using 5 GB of ram for the preview of a video 12 MB in size without any effect.

I after effects CC 2015 to date.

    My terms of reference are:

    CPU: i5 6500 3.2 Ghz

8 GB of RAM: DDR4-2133 MHz RAM

Storage:256 GB SSD (on which After Effects is installed)

    1 TB HARD DRIVE

Graphics card: GeForce GTX M 970, 6 GB

All the drivers are up to date.

The problem is: I create a new project and import a video in. The video has a full HD resolution and is 12.5 MB in size. First of all, it takes a minute to play the video of RAM so that it begins to play in real time. Then, the video is 30 frames per second, but reading the preview, he plays at 60 frames per second (frame rate is defined as 30 fps in composition settings). I saw the RAM usage in the Task Manager and After Effects using 5 GB of RAM. Then I applied an effect and the CPU usage rose to 100% and it took about 5 minutes to get the applied effect, and after that, After Effects crashed.

I'm quite new to After Effects, but I'm also a tech geek. I tried to play in the settings but it didn't help. I also searched on google and forums, but to no avail. This problem is essentially what makes the software unusable for me. Please HELP!

You do not want to edit long movies in AE. After effects is NOT video editing software.  A non-linear editing (NLE) like Premiere Pro is for editing photos to tell a story. AE is for compositing, Visual effects and graphic cartoons. It is for the creation of clichés that you then use in an NLE.

I suggest to get at least 16 GB of RAM to work with AE, but your system should work as it is. You will need to learn to manage your memory well and to get a glimpse at lower resolutions where possible.

Now, as to your original question. AE is not simply to play a video stream, as does a NLE. After effects (such as other software based compositing on pixels) with completely decompressed frames. When you put a video compressed in a composition, the size of the original video file has no effect on the size of the images that works with After Effects. After effects unpacks this video and works internally with a full, uncompressed resolution, frames. AE calculates the values of each pixel in each image, comes with a new pixel and then reads these pixels. Who is?

In fact, since you have so little RAM and the processor is not either, it may be a good idea to convert your video files highly compressed in a good intermediate codec for the shots, that you intend to use in AE. QuickTime with the PNG codec would be a decent choice. This way AE doesn't have to do a ton of work to decompress images behind the scenes until you can even work with him.

  • Media Encoder CS6 not using all cores of CPU or RAM

I currently exports a second video 90 (using the preset of 1080 p HD Vimeo), and it takes about 30 minutes. It is extremely odd that I have an i7 990 x OC'ed @4.5, 12 GB RAM, SSD, etc..

I looked at the performance tab in Windows Task Manager and saw 4 wires were not used at all, only 20 to 25% of the CPU has been used and only 6GB on the 9 GB I've specified is used.

Why the Media Encoder is not take full advantage of my CPU and RAM?

    ME.jpg

After playing with it a bit more, it seems that the problem is with the new layer of Adobe Premiere Pro setting.

Initially, I had an adjustment layer sitting in my whole 90 seconds of video with the effect of the USM in it. It took 30 minutes to render.

A test, I deleted the adjustment layer and applied USM to each individual element in the second sequence 90. This reduction in the time of rendering in two and the Media Encoder has finished the video in a little less than 15 minutes.

  • Why adobe photoshop cs5 uses only 3 GB of my ram 12 GB? pls help

Hey guys can help you with this... I'm a bit confuse with my adobe photoshop cs5 in my system... I have an i7 970 processor and channel selection 3 x 4 (12 GB) RAM... but when I look at the EDIT > PREFERENCES > PERFORMANCE in my adbobe cs5 it shows only 3 GB of available ram when I have 12 GB installed in my system... I want to adjust use 8 GB of my 12 GB of ram... How can I solve this? do you need advise please...

    Photoshop CS5 installs as a version and a 32-bit 64-bit on x 64 OS.

Run the 64-bit version to access all of your RAM.

Run the 32-bit version if you need compatibility with older 32-bit snap-ins.

Look in the Start Menu for links at a time.  The 64-bit version is tagged with (64 bit) after his name.

  • FF is using more than 2 gigabytes of ram at startup, how can I solve this

OS is windows 7 64 bit with 2gigs ram only
Firefox has work flawlessly for months, but all of a sudden it overload my ram when I start, after one minute the RAM to rinse and everything works well again. Last night I reset Firefox and everything was back to normal, but today its been the RAM hog thing again so resetting is only a temporary fix.
FYI I don't have Add ons or plugins installed and the only software that I installed last month is VLC
This could be a problem of malicious program or something to do with VLC?

Only the files with the number in the first part of relative file name. Files with a timestamp (rear) are backup files just Firefox can automatically create in some cases (for example, with the upgrade to a next version). You can keep them for backup or remove them if you don't need them, but they should not have any effect on Firefox works.
