  Snippets of code is one thing, but nothing is gained back together solutions to people without explanation (but maybe a smile to not have to struggle with it).  Learning is not easy and it is better that it isn't... it involves the effort, stadiums, an increase in capacity to win.  You presented an entirely different approach to a solution that involves techniques beyond a beginning level.

  Don't you think that tom understands what he has in his hands?  It can develop its own regular expressions or manipulate a Date object to what you gave to him?  More importantly, since he never solved the intitial design of yesterdays issues poster, which has involved basic concepts much more, don't you think he could solve this design now?  Or he missed on some basic things that must precede the techniques that you have provided learning?

  I mainly work with Photoshop, so I am new to the world of InDesign.  I put my options for the Calendar Wizard script, it goes through the motions, making the calendar and then shows my finished product.  The problem is that it lists the year alongside each month: may 2012 June 2012, etc, and I need to remove '2012' of each of them.  I know that the font styles updates the entire calendar when they are applied, so I hope that it works in a similar way.  I guess it is a very simple task if you are familiar with the program, haha!

  It sounds more like you ask how to delete 2012 of several pages, and not how to change the script to not put 2012 in all first. If I'm wrong about this, you may want to ask on the Forum script.

  An easy way to remove 2012 is to use find/replace. If you are looking for 2012 and do not fill the field exchange, she will replace 2012 with nothing. In the Find/Replace window, there is a field that will allow you to search for the location of the cursor to the end of the current history, the history, the stories in the document or all open documents. If you set it to the Document, you can use the search button to find the first instance, and if you want to remove it, you can hit replace them, replace/find (what will change and find the next instance), or change everything. I would replace/find, in case you have 2012 on another part of the calendar that you want to keep.   Yes, it looks like you used to be able to directly edit the pdf 'work' base layer in a LCD pdf.

  The painful solution was to:

  (1) copy the shape of the LCD for a background version

  (2) select and delete ALL the objects in the LCD screen of the form of the background

  (3) use print-to-pdf to create a non - LCD of the shape of the background version

  (4) clean form pdf print background objects,

  (5) use Acrobat XI to edit the text

  (6) open the original form in LCD and then edit-> work replace to replace the background pdf with the updated release of step 5

  (7) maintain the layer background for the changes to come

  This is quite annoying, because with the old version was the only step:

  (1) open the pdf in Acrobat and edit text

  In any case, thanks for the info. I'm not sure what was the logic behind this downgrade XI, but it was enough of a very negative experience that I'll do everything I can to avoid pdf for Adobe products in the future.

  I just downloaded a photoshop cs6 extention 30 trails. I like the new features but one thing that interest me the most the new control 3D, but I have a problem with text editing once there already turn in 3D using the "new 3d extrusion of selection layer.

  It looks easy in the video tutorial on youtube, but I can't seem to change the text once it is already spinning in 3D.

  I'm trying to change it by clicking on the button "edit source" with the selected text layer. It opens a new window and once I edit the text, but once I click the check icon, the text does not change.

  R_Kelly is quite accurate. You must save the source text and then close out of this window to see your changes.

  I created a few screenshots of the workflow for anyone who has this problem in the future.

  1. in a new document, create a text box with your desired text. Instead of clicking the checkbox in the top toolbar, Select the 3D option.

  

  2 in the new 3D workspace, you can adjust the position of the text, lighting, stage and your all angles. To edit your Source text, click Change Source in the properties panel.

  
  

  3 make changes to your original text box. You click on file > save, and then close the window with the text of your source.

  

  

  
  

  4 when you close the window with the text of your Source, you will be taken back to your 3D text with image.
