  I bought a new computer today that works under Windows 7. The old computer is running Windows Vista 32 bi my new computer is a 64-bit Windows 7 computer.   It has nothing to do with Windows Easy Transfer (Intellimover that is).

  You can probably use the cable - if you wish.  I prefer to use a large external USB drive or share network - this way, that I have a copy of all that I could move to multiple computers or almost as a backup at low cost.
