Using text input/output of Captivate Exhange

I have used Captivate for the basics, but I'm looking to do more. I downloaded the Text Input/Output of Captivate Exchange files, but I can't find any instructions on how to apply. The idea is that you would be able to "capture an entry on a slide and post it on blades later.» The zipped download contains four files:

textInput.fla
textInput.swf
textOutput.fla
textOutput.swf

My question is how to bring these to a piece of Captivate and use?

Here is the link to download the files:

I just realized that the instructions are also on this page...

  • Tab key does not work for text input areas in Captivate 3

I'm building a software simulation of training where I am using text input boxes.  Some use the enter as a shortcut key, some use the tab key.  Those who use the keys work well, failure caption works by forced entry when you press Enter, it advances to the next screen.  Those who use the Tab key does not at all.  The legend of failure does not work and the Tab key does not advance to the next screen.  I compared to those that work and those that don't work and I see no difference.  I set the text entry box to pause at the end of the slide so that it should not be a problem here.  I even tried to have the action 'to success"to be continue rather than go to the next slide and use a click box using the Tab key as a shortcut to move to the next screen - nothing helps!  Is it possible that the Tab key could have been turned off somehow?  I'm totally at a loss, please help!

    Thank you!

  • Uses of input/output Port

    Hello community,

I recently bought the x230T and find it rather useful (apart from the trackpad thingy). What confuses me, is that I have all these ports and no idea what they are really!

    • 1 display port w / audio
    • 1 4 - in - 1 SD (SD/SDHC/SDXC/MMC slot) card reader
    • 1 express Card 54 mm
    • 1 smart card reader

They are all probably quite useful if someone can give me insight in their service it would be appreciated.

Display port (output) can connect to an external display. For some screens, you may need a simple display-> HDMI adapter port. (Entry or exit) card reader can read memory cards, such as those used in digital cameras. The Express card can be used for expansion cards. I wear for eSATA cards and I have one with a port (heritage series), needed to communicate with a chip reader that I use. I'm not using smart cards, but they are more common in Europe, they are in the United States or the Australia.

  • Problem with text input in Adobe Captivate 6 area

I couldn't get the correct answers to my text entry box. In addition, 'success' and 'failure' options have been greyed out for me under properties > options.

I noticed that my icon is JIU for the text entry box while some users have a sign of the space reserved for the icon.

You must also select the option under properties > general accordion to validate user input.

  • Captivate: Buttons have need more than 1 click & amp; More than text input a keypress entry

    Hello
I'm loading Captivate content in a Flash wrapper that is embedded in an HTML page. Sometimes, when I enter text in a text input field my Captivate movie and then press the Enter key, it does not save the key in the first place, but it does when I do it again. Occasionally, clicks on the text buttons are not the first time also approved.
This behavior is not consistent, and the same files work perfectly in other cases.
Does anyone have an idea of what could be the problem? Would appreciate a quick response.

    Thank you!

Have you ever it works correctly? I'm having the same problem.

  • How to upgrade output during input/output synchronized?

    Hello

We use an input/output series card m PCI-6289 to provide participants sound while recording the EEG.

Our inputs and outputs are synchronized using the diagram that is attached.

To date our output audio segments have been relatively short. However, now we want to output sounds which last a long time. I've run into shortages of memory by using the current diagram.

Could someone suggest how I could update the audio output, regularly with pieces short 1 sec, in the loop in the diagram attached?

I tried to move the DAQmx Write.vi (point 4 on the diagram) inside the loop, but the output signal was not correct.

Thank you very much for your advice!

    Frenk

    Hi Frenk,

Can you be more specific about the error that you are experiencing?

Have you heard of the regeneration of analog output? It can be used with a property DAQmx writing node.

Regeneration is the repetition of the data already in the buffer. Standard regeneration is when the PC buffer data are continually downloaded on the FIFO to write. If the data buffer is smaller than the size of the FIFO, it is copied as many times as possible in the FIFO before the start of the generation. This is done to reduce the risk of errors of bandwidth by transferring is not the new data down to the FIFO fairly quickly. Once started, the generation of the copies of the data are no longer manufactured to fill the buffer. New data can be written in the buffer of PC at any time without interrupting the output.

You can also use the FIFO regeneration. With regeneration of the FIFO, the entire buffer is downloaded on the FIFO and regenerated from there. Once the data is uploaded, new data cannot be written to the FIFO. To use the FIFO regeneration, the whole buffer must fit within the size of the FIFO. The advantage of using the FIFO regeneration is that it requires no communication with memory primary host after the operation started, thus avoiding any problems that arise due to the excessive movement of buses.

Take a look at this link which travels with the regeneration: http://www.ni.com/product-documentation/3874/en/

  • Reports on the text input areas

    Hi all

I created a text input in my captivate lesson areas for the learner to write and think, but they are not part of a blade of Captivate Quiz. Is it possible to always report on inputs and that the learner writes in these boxes? My LMS is the key.

    Thank you!

    Kelly

I could report to Blackboard, see the entry on a BER, but not sure that this is the case for all LMS.

  • Focusrite scarlett 2i4 unable to use as audio input/output device

I just bought a Scarlett 2i4 hoping that time would have been solved compatibility problems. However, I'm unable to use it as an input/output device. Site Web Focus rite has a class compatible mode download that is supposed to solve this problem. And I installed it three times without success. Has anyone else had this problem and found a workaround. Thank you! I have a macbook pro mid 2012, el capitan 10.11.3.

Don't know if this will help.

I have a 2i2. When I got it, a few BONES in there, I couldn't make it work. I went back and forth with tech support Scarlett. They really tried, even sent several beta drivers. Nothing works.

Then I uninstalled all the software of Scarlett and restarted - and it works.

  • myRIO - measure unique output completed using differential input

    Hi all

I had used myRIO 1900 to measure the power of the microphone, which varies from 0 to 5V (biased to 2, 5V).

I used one of the analog input ports completed only connector MXP or B to read the value.

A few reasons, I changed the microphone with amplifier and when measured using oscilloscope and other hardware DAQ, supply range of + 5V and - 5V.

As the MXP is unable to read the voltage-ve, I realized that I need to change the connection to the MSP connector C.

It is mentioned in the dataheet of myRIO we can measure up to differential Channels analog input +/-10 V.

Although there are some reference materials available, I do not understand completely how to read the single ended output using differential input.

Should I use no matter what op-amp or comes directly from their phone?

Can someone kindly explain to me the differences and some references on how to connect!

Although I tried to read through this white paper, I felt completely lost

    http://www.NI.com/white-paper/3344/en/

Exit ended unique direct and/or the amplifier has 2 pins: GND and Vout

    Entered different a 3-pin: A +, A - and ALWAYS

I had attached the screenshot of the form OP amp for your reference

I think that you just connect your Vout to the + ve differential termination, MASS to Terminal - ve. (Briefly) An asymmetric measure is between the channel of GOT it and STILL while a differential measurement is between the + ve and ve - terminal. One measurement unit completed is referenced to GND is where you are measuring the tension of.

  • Captivate 4 - multi-line text input

    Hi-

I am a learning module, and some questions are "what would you do" so there's no right or wrong answer.  I have a widget printing slides at the end, learners can print slides, as well as their replies for future reference.

I would like more than one question per blade, because it is not classified, so I thought that it might be a widget that users can simply type text in. (instead of using the option of response/survey quiz question/short)

Anyone can point me in the right direction or have any ideas?

    Thank you!

    Characterrific

One thing you might try is a text entry area.  On the Options tab, select the check box to display ScrollBar.  Uncheck the box to validate the entry.  Then increase the size of the text input box to allow multiple lines of text.  The text will then end to account for multiple lines of text.  I have not tried to see how much you can enter text, but it might work for you.

    I hope this helps.

  • OR 9403: Digital Input/Output slows timed loop?

    Hi all

I use a loop timed sample of 7 current channels (NI 9023), 3-channel (NI 9025) voltage at 1000 Hz in scan mode and it works fine. However, when I add for 8 output channels of the input/output module digital module NI 9403 for timed loop, CAPAS sampling cannot exceed 1000 Hz. According with time stamp data I wroten in file, it seems that I have in all ten milliseconds, I missed a miliseconds.

I would like to ask is there a reason for this? The digital I/o module affect the timed loop?

    Thank you much in advance.

I'm not familiar with the FPGA code, so I can't comment there.  However, I noticed that you call writing to text file twice in the timed loop.  Can you only collect data and then write the files after the time loop?  This would save a lot of time.  For each entry, the program needs to access the hard disk, find the end of the file, add him and return to write on the hard drive.  A lot of your time, especially since the files are getting bigger.

  • Multi-line text input validation

    Hey guys,.

Can someone point me in the right direction for the validation of the multiline text.

Basically I have a scrolling text widget related to a variable. I want the person entered into several lines and do validate at the click of a button.

I know how to do this for a single line, but not too safe for multiline.

Basically, the learner must type in things like:

    SELECT last_name

    STAFFING

    WHERE name = 'Smith ';.

(yeap its SQL and yes it needs to be formatted like that)

So, when you click the button, they get a legend of the answer. They get it is correct or incorrect.

    Flash is out.

IM thinking this might be a job for javascript, but I'd like to avoid it if I can.

This is possible in JavaScript.  Here is a live demo 7 Cp SWF output:

    http://captivatedev.com/demo/Cp7/multilineValidation

Here is the project of .cptx for download:

    http://captivatedev.com/demo/Cp7/multilineValidation \MultiLine.zip

Here is the JavaScript code I used:

    var answer = document.Captivate.cpEIGetValue('m_VarHandle.scrollText');

    if(answer == '1\\r2\\r3\\r' || answer == '1\\r2\\r3'){
        document.Captivate.cpEISetValue('m_VarHandle.isCorrect', 'Correct');
    } else {
        document.Captivate.cpEISetValue('m_VarHandle.isCorrect', 'Incorrect');
    }

    The correct answer is:

    1

    2

    3

    All on separate lines.

When the multiline text comes to JavaScript, line breaks are represented by '\r '.  However, when you put the JavaScript in the Panel of Captivate JS inside Captivate, you double escape "\\r" carriage return character  Why?  Because your JavaScript inside Captivate is interpreted at the level of the first Flash before it hits the browser (JS level).

You will also notice that I'm checking for "1\\r2\\r3" (no backspace character) AND '1\\r2\\r3\\r' (return escape character).  I found during testing that even if you press RETURN at the end and then go BACK... the return '\\r' rest character still in the end... sense even if for the end user, it seems that there is no backspace character... it really is.  It took me a while to understand this one...

  • Difficulty of text input

Whenever I'm in an area of text input in Firefox mobile, it is extremely difficult to get the text that is entered correctly. Firefox "stutters", hesitating before accepting most of the characters and will usually insert a space between each of them and never only one of them as well. This forces me to go back through the entrance once I have completed and delete all added spaces. I also invariably have to retype all the 'i's, because Firefox has converted to capital I's, seeing them as independent. It is a constant problem with Firefox endless. It never goes away.

In addition, Firefox often randomly will close the window keyboard and suddenly will return to the main screen, sometimes taking on itself to press < return > keyboard in the process, usually having a bad entrance result and forcing me to laboriously start all over again.

I love Firefox on my desktop and would gladly use it on my mobile as well, but right now, the only time wherever I ever use Firefox mobile is when I make a large download, because it manages downloads better than the default Android browser. For all other uses, it is simply too awkward, with the fiasco of text entry and done a very unpleasant experience.

We have the best compatibility with the current keyboard. Swype or Swiftkey or similar keyboards may cause problems. You can switch quickly tapping long on an input in Firefox field and choosing "select input method.

We have better support of 3rd keyboard part. This work must be carried out in March or April of the year.

  • Is there a way I can change text entry in Apple TV like it's pathetic. The former arrangement was much better and we now have to scroll back to the text input as identification of email in every app feels like the stone age technology.

Input test Apple tv interface is so pathetic and primitive and feels like the stone age. Its the most boring I've had in any interface computer or "smart." Is there a way to enter (say spell out) e-mail ID that cannot be recognized by voice, and that voice recognition is better compared to google.

Use the remote app. Or wait for the future update which allows for voice text input, Bluetooth, keyboards etc.  You can always send feedback to Apple http://www.apple.com/feedback/
