Using the calculation script to write the value of the variable Substitution in a file

Hello

I am trying to use the calculation script to write the value of Substitution variable in a text file.
I use the dataexport command. But it is not able to write values in the text file.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

MaxL would display variable. See: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10530_01/doc/epm.931/html_esb_techref/maxl/ddl/statements/dispvarb.htm

BTW, I mostly prefer Esscmd MaxL. I think that makes me a heretic, but I don't understand why I don't want to type more rather than less to get the same result.

Running a calc:
Esscmd - RUNCALC 2 calcname
MaxL - run calculation Sample.Basic.calcname;

To be fair, Esscmd requires a dbname appname SELECT before the RUNACALC, but it is always less striking.

However, time is running, so I don't have too. And of course, MaxL now has many things that Esscmd doesn't like Esscmd is obsolete.

I always use Esscmd to run scripts of calc I can actually watch the output in real time as opposed to MaxL that exports the console at the end of execution.

Kind regards

  • problem by setting the value of a variable substitution in a calc script

    Hi all.

    I'm trying to update the value of a variable substitution inside an IF statement, and I have a problem.

    Here is the code:

    * "Jan" (*) "
    IF (LoopCounter = 1) & varEntity = "100";
    ENDIF ;)

    the error that I get back from Regional service is:

    Error: 1200336 error analysis [Jan] (line 54) formula: [()] without [)]

    It's tricky. Without really analyzing the details of your example, two options that might be worth a visit:

    1. write a MaxL script for updating the subvar (s), and then run the calc, x 20. 40 lines of MaxL and 500 lines of code is 10 000. Obviously, this only works if the launch of the MaxL script is feasible, and you know that you aren't going to have multiple instances of the calc (or any what calc which depends on these subvars) running at the same time. But I guess you're OK with the last part, because even your original solution would have this problem

  • How to change the value of string clustered, to implement using the node value of property instead of writing directly on the flow of data or using the variable

    new to labview :-) and I have a problem when I want to change the value of a string in bunches, and I want to implement this using the node value of property instead of writing directly to the stream or by using the variable, enclosed is the picture.   No matter, I have change in cluster (control) or value of Popery out (indicator) cluster, the value (sensor 7) dataflow keeps unchanged even I gave the new value by value of property node. Thank you to give me some advice about this.

    Hi GerdW

    Thanks a lot for your answer. The reason I'm stubbornly tring to break the flow of DATA is: we have a test system that have about 100 screws, they have a few connected flow, some of them will be unbundling a cluster dataflow chain to check the value in order to make the different cases.  Now I want to insert user event by changing the control and influential cases during run time.

    As I initially uses a global variable (to control cases) instead of unbundle string data flow, it works well.  But then, I found there are a lot of screws that are using the string unbundle.  One of the 'lazy' means, I tried is to change the value via the property node (because that way, I did not need to find all the places where using the unbundle string and replace them with the global variable), then I noticed a problem with "dataflow", the value in the stream of cluster in fact will not be changed by changing the value of the property node.

    I did a test with VI simple (like the picture in last post), and after reading your advice, I tell myself that I need to understand the concept of "DATAFLOW" in labview, it seems that my "lazy" way can not work in this scenario.

    I have attached the criterion VI here, have you furthur suggestions on what I can do in this case?

    Mant thanks!

    Hi all

    I am facing a problem in the display of the selected date of the guest in the report using the variable of presentation. I have a guest of data (calendar prompt), where the user selects the value. I take this value in the variable RBAP of presentation and report when I try to display this value using the same presentation variable, I get my date in the following format

    "TIMESTAMP 2010-10-22 00:00:00 '.

    I'm just using ' @{RBAP}' in the formula in the column.

    I want to show my date in the format DD/MM/YYYY. How to do this?

    I have used CAST (' @{RBAP} {' as DATE} and tried to change the data to dd/mm/yyyy format, but it does not work.)

    Please suggest

    -Create a for the listener listener.ora file, stop and start the receiver using the listener.ora file. If the file is located in a default location, set the TNS_ADMIN environment variable to that location before you start the listener.

    Let me make sure I understand the problem.

    One year, in this problem, is exactly 364 days.

    You want the year that ended on the most recent Saturday (otherwise said, the year ending Saturday between 6 days ago and today) and two years ago.

    You want the first date in each of those years and the last date each year, in the format YYYYMMDD.

    Is this fair?

    Here's a way to define variables of substitution (with names like year_1_start):

    COLUMN y1_start new_value by year_1_start

    COLUMN y1_end new_value by year_1_end

    COLUMN y2_start new_value by year_2_start

    COLUMN y2_end new_value by year_2_end

    COLUMN y3_start new_value by year_3_start

    COLUMN y3_end new_value by year_3_end

    WITH got_y1e AS

    (

    SELECT NEXT_DAY (SYSDATE - 7 'SATURDAY') AS y1e

    OF the double

    )

    SELECT TO_CHAR (y1e + 1 - (364 * 3), 'YYYYMMDD') AS y3_start

    , TO_CHAR (y1e - (364 * 2), 'YYYYMMDD') AS y3_end

    , TO_CHAR (y1e + 1 - (364 * 2), 'YYYYMMDD') AS y2_start

    , TO_CHAR (y1e - 364, 'YYYYMMDD') AS y2_end

    , TO_CHAR (y1e + 1-364, 'YYYYMMDD') AS y1_start

    , TO_CHAR (y1e, 'YYYYMMDD') AS y1_end

    OF got_y1e

    ;

    If you prefer that bind variable, write an anonymous PL/SQL block and use the same logic to 6 variables.

    I don't think that vbScript will solve strCMD = "%EPM_ORACLE_HOME%\products\Essbase\EssbaseClient\bin\startMAXL.cmd" & strFilePath & ".mxl" correctly. I think that the environment variables can be solved in the interface. FDM is probably literally including the string "% EPM_ORACLE_HOME" in the path.

    If you share (read and execute) the file on the Essbase server that contains startMAXL.cmd (or containing a record of the ancestor of this folder), you can use the UNC path: strCMD = "------------"& strFilePath & ".mxl"»

    However, if startMAXL is installed on the server, FDM, you can use the local path to startMAXL.cmd.

    You're talking about text tags?

    You can use Ask for the text, and then set the Variable, then before run you Script Shell, Get Variable.  If this is the only variable passed, then it will be '$1 '.

  • Maximize battery life flash by using the Scriptures of sector size file. USB and SD card storage limits Cap

    I use the sbRIO-9636 with 512 MB of non-volatile storage (Flash I presume?).  I'm not find the size of the sector in the Spec Docs, I found it, and Measurement & Automation Explorer does not display it no more, and I can't find one physical property of RT to make it.  I built a utility 'RIO leader Writer"for the text written to the buffer until the sector size is full or until the file is closed using the VI, but it would be useful to know the sector size.  For now, I'll assume 32 KB as I read the 9606 uses 16 k with its 256 MB drive.

    I have attached the utility (a single LV 2012 (VI) in case someone else would be useful.  I promise you there better performance or memory efficient, but its purpose was to save the Flash of my application, which supports the recording of data CAN (1000 + packets/sec) to the file, and it does that very well.  I continued to save the CAN data without it, with each written separately CAN package (~ 40 characters / record log, or ~ 820 written by sector of 32 KB), I probably would have started to lose areas in the next few weeks was not that of wear levelling - maybe even with wear leveling.  With that, life shouldn't be a problem (although the ability remains one, I can switch to USB storage if it is).

    Come to think of it, this can help with all the data being quickly to any player, as all readers use sectors (or blocks of sectors), assuming that you can sacrifice the RAM requirements to register your system hard disk (or to).

    Storage issues more:  What is the limit of the capacity of the SD and USB function storage on the sbRIO-9636 map?  The specification mentions support SDHC, but does not say specifically THAT SDXC is not supported.  It does support the monstrously huge SDXC cards or the max for SDHC (32 GB)?  In addition, with SD and USB storage, is size of block review?  LabVIEW has a property, I can read for all this that I don't see?

    Thank you!

    Hi Erik,

    I was wrong, we have a LabVIEW function that will find the size of area for a specific drive, it's the Get Volume Info.vi (link). You can run this VI and the flash drive on the sbRIO to find the minimum size of sector for reference entries.

    Regarding external drives to the USB port, I think you are right in your assumption about the limits of FAT16 and FAT32. Keep in mind there are also limits on file size of 2 GB or 3 GB of maximum file size.

    Most of the USB-to-IDE adapters works for the sbRIO (or cRIO), but USB-to-SATA is not supported to work on sbRIO. You can always try to use a SATA-USB HARD drive, but it might not work.
