  Hi all

  I try to use PXI-6280 counter to generate a command of step motor pulse train.  The idea is to send a number done and known pulse for the engine, which belongs to a system XYZ. The point is, if, at some point, the user or the security system can interrupt the movement. If this happens (and will be... a lot), I will lose the real position, because I don't know how many pulses were actually sent to the engine.   I'm afraid that I don't understand your idea. Could explain you better?

  Material of the series M support pointing to an arbitrary digital signals at rates (the clock must be provided from another source, for example a counter).  If you want a digital pulse train finished output and have access to a counter (the two counters if find you another source for your clock, for example the subsystem "output frequency"), you must use this subsystem 'digital output' rather than the output of the counter.  There should be examples in the finder of the example shows how to configure a finished task of digital output.

  Now I'm generating sample clock having a single Timed material Point (the only mode accepts this mode), and configure the counter with finite samples.

  I don't think not just single point NI the hardware, that's what you want.  More commonly, output meter tasks use timing 'Implied', where the release date is implicitly determined by the characteristics of the pulse user-defined.

  Is there a way to stop the production of only one meter when a finite number of pulses has been played in another counter?

  Yes, but it's a little tricky.  You can set a trigger 'Pause' on the output task, with the soruce the break being the internal release of the counter used for the task of entry.  Set the initial value of the counter of entry to 2 ^ 32-N (or maybe 2 ^ 32-1-N, I don't have a system right now to check) where N is the desired number of pulse output.  Together the counter event behavior for the counter edges of County switch output (this is a property of DAQmx export Signal).  When the counter of entry reaches terminal, its in-house production switches, causing thus the task of output to pause.  You can then stop the task in the software (you should be able to use the output of the task of entry counter event to signal to the software when the output is paused).

  Now that I've written that the whole paragraph, I remember something * similar * to work around a limitation of the driver here .  It is not quite the same implementation I described above, but really, you can use a meter output or a counter entry to get the same effect (it could be a good place to start anyway if you want to try this).

  I have a Portege R700 series (PT311E) and a high speed P/N PA3838E-1PRP port replicator.

  Today, I tried to connect two external monitors on the VGA port and the second HDMI port replicator port.
  Unfortunately, I was not able to configure the laptop / duplicator to * work with external monitors stand *.

  I'm not quite sure of HDMI and Port Replicator (PA3838E-1PRP) but many laptops equipped with support DVI dual video output (VGA and DVI) port using Advanced Port Replicator III (PA3314E-1PRP) or Advanced Port Replicator III more (PA3474E-1PRP).
  But this is only possible if the laptop itself supports the simultaneous use of RGB & DVI too.

  I recently bought the PC HP Pavilion a6600f w1707 with HP. I also bought a DVI cable to HDMI to connect PC to Samsung HDTV. Is it possible to configure Windows Vista Home Premium to display on both screens at the same time, or at least be able to switch between the two without having to unplug one, then restart the computer?

  This can be annoying, but I've done it before.  Usually, you can connect at once, then go to the display panel, settings, advanced, and then there is usually a tab to select the components of the video card.  Mine says NVIDIA...  Once there, you can choose a number of options, for example, clone, extended desktop, etc..  I found that there is some problems with resolution when the display on my TV is over the current screen.

  It's OK to have two connections.  Windows automatically uses the one with the highest rated speed.

• Windows XP do not use the two virtual processors

  I have created a virtual machine in Fusion 2.0.4 (on a MacBookPro (end 2006) running 10.5.7), assigned two CPUS and install a new copy of Windows XP Edition family in it (do not use the automatic installation provided by Fusion). After completing the installation, I booted up and noticed that only one processor showed in the Task Manager, despite two of them showing in Device Manager.

  I checked C:\WINDOWS\system32 - ntoskrnl.exe is correctly ntkrnlmp.exe, ntkrnlpa.exe is ntkrpamp.exe and hal.dll is halmacpi.dll - so I don't see a reason why XP would not see the other CPU.

  Any ideas? Reinstalling XP does not help. I have attached a copy of my VMX in case this is useful.

  Windows XP Home Edition does not support a single socket.  In order to avoid interrupting other products license restrictions, we present only single core CPU at the prompt.  A dual vCPU VM is presented as two-processor core for Windows XP Home Edition only uses the first processing company.  Windows XP Professional clients will see two CPUs in the Task Manager.

  I develop an application that communicates with a microcontroller.  I would like to use the API to frame for a setup where I can send commands and get the answers and want to use the API channel for a mode where I'm simply followed the messages I get from the microphone.

  I have a state machine where I starts with the opening of the frame API, have some different States I'll in that use the appearance of the request/response of the API framework, then a State that closes to the API of frame and opens the Channel API.  The problem I encounter occurs when I already closed the frame API and began playing with the API channel work.  When I click the monitoring button stop, I leave the while loop, who read a message defined in the DB can (havn't had in fact he still read the data) and run the Clear.VI Channel API CAN I get the following error.

  Possible reasons:

  NI-CAN (Hex 0xBFF62110) you can use the frame API and Channel API simultaneously on the same interface (for example CAN0).   MAX tools use the channel API.  Soultuon: Use a different interface with each API.

  I need a way to get around this and I'm not sure why the raster API is not pretending to be closed, especially since I was a State in my state machine to close the frame API before you start using the channel API.

  If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

• 2602 AP in stand-alone - using the two bands

  We generally use the series 2602 AP in light mode, however I have a scenario where we will install one with the stand-alone software.  I understand that we will not be able to utilze certain features that you get with the WLC as RRM, unreliable detection and clean air.

  We want to utilze the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHZ bands.  To do this with the autonomous access point 2602, will we have to set up 2 separate SSID?  I really don't want to do this if I don't have to minimize confusion for customers. Thank you.

  This decision is based on the client machines.  The device will choose who it will associate with.  You could always tweaking the settings on the device wireless to a single band favorite on the other.  There isn't any setting on the AP have devices prefer one over the other.  I hope this helps.

  first of all, you have only a single javascript call (onfocus...). It is just a style and has nothing to do with javascript.

For a new project, Flex Mobile, I get the compilation error "could not resolve < s:TabbedViewNavigatorApplication > to a component implementation, problem Flex"...

  I see on the AIR SDK download page http://labs.Adobe.com/downloads/air.html there are two versions of the SDK, one is the compiler 2.0 level one is for users of Flex... What should I download and update with Flash Builder 4.6?

  You can use http://labsdownload.adobe.com/pub/labs/flashruntimes/air/air3-8_sdk_sa_mac.tbz2 with the FB 4.6. Here are the steps to overlay the sdk

  1 exit Flash Builder.

  2. (optional) save for the Flex SDK kit by copying the directory.

  In Flash Builder, for example, to copy the directory to:

  • Mac OS: / Applications/Adobe Flash Builder 4.7/sdks/4.6.0

  3. download the AIR SDK file appropriate for your operating system for example http://labsdownload.adobe.com/pub/labs/flashruntimes/air/air3-8_sdk_sa_mac.tbz2, unzip it and save it on your MAC OS X.

  4. in the Terminal, run the following command

  Ditto sudo/path/air3-8_sdk_sa_mac Applications/Adobe\ Flash\ Builder\ 4.6/sdks/4.6.0

  5. (optional) to access the new AIR API 3.8, update your application descriptor file to the namespace 3.8.

  6. (optional) to ensure that the version of the SWF file output SWF 21 targets, pass a the additional compiler argument:-swf-version = 21.

  Thus, Flash Builder SDK comes with a version of the AIR, that it uses when you compress a mobile app for iOS (Android mobile applications are managed with the AIR which is downloaded on the market)...  On my Windows machine, this copy "integrated" air is located in "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\sdks\4.6.0\runtimes\ ' if I am not mistaken.

  I am sure that it will not automatically refresh itself - and I am equally sure that it's a fairly old air version, because it is the one that came with the 4.6 SDK that was released 8 months ago...

  So, how to upgrade this version of AIR that is built into the software Flash Builder SDK?

  Oops - nevermind...  Didn't know that there was a distinct AIR SDK that you could download - I thought that it was integrated into the Flex SDK kit, and since it was not a new Flex SDK from 4.6, I thought I should enter somehow parts and parts of AIR to update manually...

  But grabbing the AIR SDK to http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/air-sdk-download.html went around...  Just that unzipped to the folder sdks\4.6.0 and was made...  Sweet...
