  • How to use two external monitors with my laptop?

I have a new Pavilion dm4-301 d cl Entertainment PC.   My OS is Windows 7.   I'm used to using two external monitors with a docking station.   This new laptop lacks a docking station.  What should I do use two external monitors?

Certainly not without a dock, but even with laptop HP well enough docks limit you to one of the ports on the external monitor, even if there are two on the dock. We used a device called an Atlona AT-HDPIX2 which is a USB to hdmi adapter. It provides a feature of third monitor for a laptop... use the native external port of the screen and the computer screen internal, then this device gives a third control that is fully configurable to display Windows 7 interface... clone, extend, etc.. It allows a full HD resolution and is pretty responsive for games even light.  HP does not have any true docking station for your laptop.

  • Is it possible to use a second monitor with Windows 7 starter edition.

Original title: I want to thank my screen on a second monitor, but my pack to boot windows 7 does not give me this option. Should I upgrade to Windows 7 only for this, or are there free tools/downloads available?

It does not recognize the monitor, but it's simply not show the option "extend the screens/monitors" in the menu dropdown.

    Hello

Unfortunately, you have not the possibility to extend your desktop to an external monitor or projector in Windows 7 Starter edition. It would be best to upgrade to Windows 7 family premium, professional, Ultimate or enterprise.

  • Windows: Photoshop by using the incorrect monitor with two monitors profile

I have connected 2 very different monitors to my PC.
Both have been calibrated and I assigned the correct profiles for both monitors in the color management Panel.
I use Photoshop on monitor number 2 (the splash screen also appears when I start the program) but when I check that my color settings in Photoshop and click the dropdown menu, RGB workspace he mentions "Monitor RGB - [name of the profile number monitor 1] .icm" as my monitor RGB profile.
This is clearly the wrong profile since it must list the description regarding the number of Monitor 2.
Is there a way you can change it manually? Looks Photoshop always uses the profile to monitor number 1 any screen, you use for Photoshop.

As far as I know, it's normal. Registration is always your main screen, as set out in the operating system.

The question is - Photoshop uses the wrong profile for each display? Regardlass of registration, he must use the profile for display on each window of the image is. IOW, you can have windows image on both screens, and they all use the relevant profile.

You can test it by dragging it. When you cross the midline PS should change your profile when drop you and release the mouse.

But yes, it makes sense that Monitor RGB must be the view that contains the context of the application. I use monoecrans on my two systems, so I can't test this.

HP DM4 has a VGA and HDMI port, so you can use a those for connecting an external monitor.
So you can use a 17, 19, 21/22, 24 any size you want. And use cell phones and external monitors
in a double configuration which is what I use here.

  • PC HP 8560w: second monitor with Windows 10

I have upgraded to Windows 10 and my second monitor will not work. On Windows 7, I was running my second monitor with a USB 3.0 port. Apparently, 10 Windows does not support this configuration. How can I feed my second monitor in Windows 10 using either a USB 3.0 or MIC port?

    Thanks in advance.

    Coltrane22

I'm running an additional monitor in Win10 to a USB connection, but it uses a USB adapter / VGA, and to make it work, I had to install the drivers that came with the card.  Before that I did, Win10 has not even seen the monitor.

    Good luck

  • Connection to Win7 via RDP, using only 2 monitors with monitor 3

    Hello
I have a computer in my office that is running 3 monitors, I want to connect to my home computer using two monitors via RDP. Unfortunately when I check "use all my monitors" he wants to use all three. I just want to use two of my monitors on my desktop computer to view my session at home. And let an open monitor for work
So, I tried to change Local Group Policy on my home computer and set "computer ordinateur\modeles to Windows\Services Office userconfiguration\administrative to number of Desktop Session Host\Remote Session Environment\ limit Maximum of monitors ' activate and 2»» When I do this it only allows RDP to use a monitor on my customer's computer. When I set this value to 3 it uses all three monitors.
I also tried RDP file and using "Use Multimon:i:2" without success as well.
In short, I want only two screens showing my home office and one of my current desktop display screen.
    Thank you
    -Matt

    Hi Matt,

This is not possible, that if chosen to use all monitors, it will use what is available.

    Hello

I intend to use Labview 2010 in no time.

    2. Or should I run Labview 2010, when I want to build a project that is useful on a Windows 7 system, on a system with Windows 7?

    Please give me some information.

I hope to hear from you soon.

    Hello

You need third-party software to do this, I suggest you use your favorite search engine and check for the software that supports this option.

Note: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • Change to a new monitor with Windows XP

My office is a COMPAQ Presario 2029 with a NVidia GeForce 7500LE graphics card, currently under XP SP3. Although in due course, I intend to upgrade to Windows 7 or 8.1, or replace the material altogether with a new PC for Windows 8.1, which will not be some time yet.

In the meantime, I think to replace my current monitor with a wide screen HP Pavilion 22xi or 23xi. I'm likely to have problems, try to run on existing hardware or XP?

    Thank you!

    Thank you!

I see from the driver information that it is listed as compatible with XP, so it's reassuring.
