  Problem solved on the Forum of Qwest. The modem must be changed to use "a transparent bridging. The the WRT54G must be changed from automatic DHCP to PPPoE.

  Public static IP and Port Forwarding have nothing to do with this issue.

  I'm having an argument with my ISP.

  I have a WRT54G, blah blah DSL 5 MB and I want to have one of my computer that is accessible from the internet. The rest can stay on the DCHP intranet.

  My ISP insists that, for this I need as a static IP address on their part. They offer only the ip static or dynamic, a service or the other, and I can set up with an IP address static both my router and my machine I want to be able to access on the internet.

  Seems to me that I need TWO static IP. One for the router and the other entitled it the internet service computer.

  Can someone please give me feedback on this? A lot of satisfaction.

  I just replaced my gateway WRT54G with a WRT610N router and all is well.  However, I would like to know if it is possible for me to use the old WRT54G as a bridge to access point / wireless on a different floor to the catwalk... Here I want the WRT54G connect Wireless as a router to router WRT610N bridge (not the cables on the LAN ports) and then I want to use its LAN ports on the WRT54G to wired local devices rather than use it as a wireless extension. I read several post, but most seem to suggest the wiring between the routers.

  I have to keep the center of the media on channel 3, and the decoder controls the channel I want to watch or record.  For example if I want to record channel 631 21:00 to 23:00 I would say the MC to record channel 3 for as many programs they broadcast between 9 and 23:00.  This process does not allow registration of the MC - guide as it was planned. I have to use the channels on the cable box only and always have the Media Center on channel 3. Is it possible to come back with the MC TV Guide and record by this guide as it was designed to do, while still using the cable set top box or some other Descrambler for replacement by the cable operator?  Basically, the decoder is a decoder which makes us put all our TV on channel 3.  But the cable ready TV I hear do not need the box, they can use another device.  The computer can do the same?  Nobody seems to have no answer to this problem.  Help!?

  The WRT is configured in Bridge mode and all can see the Internet, but the iPod can not see the PC, unless they are connected on the subnet of the router.

  I think that in this configuration the WRT does DHCP and creates a subnet and then NAT for them to get access to the outside. So the inside can out, but outside may not participate. This means that the applications hosted on the PC iPod cannot interact with the WiFi iPod.

  I want the WRT to act as a bridge and be transparent to the local network & PCs.

  This seems to be a simple installation, but I couldn't sort through the DMZ, router, and help the other possible approaches?

  The answer is 'no '. As far as Linksys are concerned, a router is a router and an access point is an access point, it is because they have two very different functions.

  Sorry, you can not connect two routers wireless with Linksys firmware.  However, you can install firmware in party 3rd in DD - WRT that allows you to do.  Your bandwidth will be cut in half you mind.   Go the DD - WRT web site to see if your routers are supported.
