  Yes! AirPlay with an AppleTV is the easiest to use and less complicated solution.

  even if you route your audio files in windows (so-called "routing software") through 2.0 (just left and right speakers), the subwoofer will still work properly because a device of '' crossover '' of material inside the laptop which carries the audio stream first through the bass speaker (but just a narrow as 0 Hz to 200 Hz or something), and then the rest is routed through to the real tweeters (speakers high frequency or in this case high-200 Hz)

  I actually recommend using configuration 2.0 plus 2.1 (stereo + subwoofer in windows) because 2.1 would mean you use two filters - before mentioned hardware and then another, one inside windows - and I'm 100% sure that their cut-off frequencies are not the same, so you migh eventually lose (or making his "disorder") some of his in the process

  What you want to do with the ATV without an Internet connection?  It is designed as a device of Internet broadcast, so you can access online content via the big screen in the living room rather than the pocket computer in your pocket...

  technically I think its possible but you would still need an Internet connection for the installation and update of the software process and even less to download applications and games, but if you don't have an Internet connection apps/games will probably not work. I don't think that there is 'out of play'...
