  As you know for Toshiba WXP gave Toshiba Power Saver utility, but for Vista, this tool does not exist in the same format. Many functions now is in the Vista power settings. Utility TOSHIBA Power Saver is also there but just with several options.

  You can find it if you open the power options > change plan settings > change advanced power settings. You will find Toshiba Power Saver Settings V8.02.00.

  I installed Windows 7 x 86 on my Satellite A200 (PSAE6), and I do not have driver for Fingerprint Software.
  It s available for x 32 install but don t work

  Hi all

  I installed windows 7 pro laptop Tecra M11 and the Toshiba finger print utility does not work for normal users.
  This works only for domain administrators. The TFPU is not working is not for users in the normal domain, local users, local administrators. If we run the utility, it will ask you to enter the password of windows, and once we have applied the password, then the message saying 'entered password is not valid' will invite even if we try to use the utility first.

  If we try with a domain administrator account, it will work without any problem. Can someone help me just shoot this question?

  Install OS and create user account/accounts, define the utility of fingerprints and let us know if it works properly.

  We build a Windows 7 SOE for a large company that takes care of many models of computers laptops hp. Each of these laptops comes with a fingerprint reader, and we would like to use the built in support of fingerprint (biometric devices) reader that is running windows 7. The models that we support are as follows:

  • HP 6910P
  • HP 6930p
  • HP 8510w
  • HP 8530w

  We tried using the drivers of fingerprint Authentec (aes2501a) on the hp website, but after the installation, the biometric device option is not in windows 7. We contacted HP about this and they said that we must use the driver coming from windows update before this option appears. After installing the driver from windows update, the option of the biometric device seemed that hp said. Therefore, because of the way that our SOE is built, we demand that the executable that is identical to that on windows update. Anyone know where we can find packages both x 64 and x 86 for this device driver, which are the same as those found when you go to update windows on these machines running windows 7? Let me know if you need any clarification.

  Step 1: Locate the stand-alone file by inserting the device model number
  a. visit http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Home.aspx
  in the search box, enter the model number of the perimeter search of the driver.
  c. download the right driver for your windows and install it successfully on all computers.

  Note: If there is no available stand-alone file, I'm afraid you'll have to visit update of Windows on all computers and the installation of the update done or contact the device manufacturer to obtain the driver.

• Where can I get the right drivers for Satellite Z930 - PT23LA - 01 009?

  A little history: I recently bought a version of Win7 to a Z930 in Auckland from PB Tech shop. I've updated to a clean version of Win8 64-bit. My Win8 seems works ok but I noticed something strange in the Toshiba PC Health Monitor - apparently the Toshiba HDD/SSD Alert is not installed, so I don't understand not his iconic display in the health monitor (but the health monitor think my SSD is in "Good" shape - maybe it's reading the INTELLIGENT of my SSD interface, or maybe it's just saying 'Good' because the integrity monitor is apparently able to operate?)

  I can easily find different versions of the Toshiba HDD/SSD Alert Utility in questionable Web sites - download, but I really prefer to get my Toshiba support drivers. Which leads to my question:

  Where can I get the right drivers for PT23LA-01 009? NZ nor the webarea to Toshiba support have this model in their menus. The closest match seems to be

  I bought a Toshiba Satellite U400-10 opportunity and I would do a fresh install of Vista 64.
  The hard drive has been replaced, and I have no recovery disk.

  I have a Satellite Pro L300 Vista.
  If I have problems of major incompatibility with Vista I can swap the readers so I want to set up a second hard drive running on XP Pro.

  When I try to set up the XP he sees not the SATA hard drive. I know that it's because XP does not contain the SATA drivers. Couple of questions

  (1) I saw a comment that recommendsto change the BIOS for SATA setting to "Compatibility" and this should work. I tried this but did not find it worked - everyone find it works?

  (2) where can I find the XP SATA driver? I crossed the XP drivers for Satellite Pro L300 Toshiba's web site, but could not see any SATA driver.

  As to the question;

  (1) some notebook models containing this function in the BIOS and some don t BIOS that SATA option. If the BIOS has this option, you should be able to put AHCI Compatible mode. Then a SATA driver won't be necessary but also your SATA function would be disabled and HARD drive might work more slowly. So I recommend to set to AHCI, and then reinstall the SATA driver.

  (2) the SATA driver is part of the Intel Matrix Storage Manger. You can include the SATA drivers using nLite software. The necessary files of the SATA driver can be downloaded from Intel here page:
