V5-573P-6486 begins in the BIOS Menu

A week ago, I bought this Acer. I left on all the time and took it me to go to sleep after 30 minutes, what it does, but in the morning, about six hours after the last use and put to sleep using Fn + F4, it is disabled for reasons that I can't determine. When I press the power button it immediately opens the menu of the BIOS.  The BIOS settings are the same as originally set or confirmed when I first put in place.  I press the Save button and it proceeds to begin quickly to win 8.1.

I can't find the settings in the BIOS or Win8 to stop this menu to appear. And I can't find any setting to prevent it turning itself off when it should be just in mode 'sleep'.  BIOS version is 2.22.  Hybernation is disabled.  It is connected to the AC and power light is still on.

This is my first Acer and Win8 first install so that I'm missing here?  Why it will sleep in the off position, and why the BIOS menu when starting?

Can I have solve this "self-stop - start BIOS" problem by installing new 8.1 drivers and/or turn off "quick start", as I did yesterday so the problem didn't occur last night when the computer was in mode 'sleep'.  Time will tell.

I did it after being unable to get the Bluetooth to work (stable for the first time) yesterday. I found the Win8.1 driver for it and other peripheral and load them.  That fixed BT and it works well.  I also looked at the error Log Win and had seen a BT device error in the middle of the night, which could have triggered the closure and restart in the BIOS.  I don't know if it was the cause of my problem, but a likely suspect.

So I hope that the problem is resolved, and if I do not report all can assume it was.

I'll add that it is disappointing that a forum of company Acer no Acer has responded to my post in the thread.  I guess that a company would have a team of people dedicated to helping people on their own forum.  Even Ford has a person on our forums of C - Max.

    Hello!

    I have a Qosmio laptop X 70-A-K2S.
I want to replace one of the hard drives on the SSD.

    How do the BIOS menu?
Recommendations in the manual (reboot and release "F2" during 1 second) do not help.

I can't do any menu of the BIOS or BOOT menu.
But easily fall into recovery menu by pressing '0 '.

    > Do not help the recommendations in the manual (reboot and release "F2" during 1 second)
Sure it's good is winning 8 preinstalled?

This is probably the reason why you cannot access the BIOS.
Windows 8 stop not Notepad by default but it run hybrid closed.
This will start the laptop much faster, but as I said, it prevents access to the BIOS.

Have a look here how to do closing down on 8 Windows preinstalled laptop:

  • Select the security setting in the Bios Menu

    Hello

    I have a 4545 s Hp's Probook

all the security in Bios setting options are disable and I don't change them

How should enable security options in the bios menu

    Hello senogteh...

Your screenshot, it seems that your system can have an administrator BIOS set password.   If the Medhi account is not an administrator of BIOS, I think these options would be grayed out.  You can refer to Chapter 9 of the

HP laptop user Guide for more information on the security settings of the BIOS.

Please note that if you are the administrator / owner of the system and forgot the BIOS administrator password and you have created a HP SpareKey, that allows you to reset the password.  If you do not have an HP SpareKey, you should contact HP support for your country / region and they will help you reset the password.

    I hope this helps!

  • Cannot access the BIOS menu

Good if some time ago that I bought the Dell XPS 8500 and since I never was able to access the menu of the bios, but it never bothered me until now so, if anyone knows what that is wrong or needs more information let me know please because I think it's a pretty serious problem now.

To win 8, open bar charms and select settings, and then change the settings of PC. Then select update and recovery. Then recovery, then Advanced Startup, then help, then UEFI Firmware.

You can also get there during a cold start. Start the computer, hold down the shift (the key perhaps) left and continually press the F2 key. You should get the BIOS, which is now called UEFI.

  • Jet 7 Tablet 5709: HP Jet 7 touch screen does not work in Windows even if it works in the BIOS menu advanced starup

Less than two months ago, I upgraded my HP Jet Windows 7 to 10. Over time some questions popped up (random apps that could not be opened, etc.) so I decided to do a full reset, deleting the files from the user. Once the 'install' process is complete he brought me to the initial configuration for Windows 10 screen, asking me my keyboard and language preference. He would not accept any contact entry. I rebooted it and he went to the advanced configuration where I could use the touch screen to do a complete reset. That has not changed anything. I found the info on the HP website and did a reset of the BIOS. That has not changed anything. I got an OTG cable, but was not able to get a keyboard work. I did, however, get a mouse works and has managed to create a new user and login. However, the touchscreen does not work in Windows. I was able to get into the settings and looked at the Device Manager settings. There was only a mouse driver listed under Human Interface. I also noticed a number of question marks in the subtopic of the processor drivers.

I was able to use the OTG cable to try to re - install Windows 10 from a USB key. When a similar initial settings (language, keyboard) screen broke, I couldn't use the touchscreen. Later, I created a USB with Windows 8.1 thinking he might have a better chance. The same problem. He does not touch inputs. And with a key USB installed via the OTG cable, I can't launch a mouse at the same time.

It is strange that I have not the problem in the BIOS or advanced startup options. It seems that there is a corruption somewhere, but how do I fix?

    Hello Moronihah,

You did a clean install (delete all files and programs) the 2nd time you reinstalled Windows 10?

That's what you need to do first.

Then, you have to go to the HP website and install the drivers on your USB.

Above all, you need to include the Goodix Touch Controller Driver and pilot, allowing Malta G-Sensor.

    HP Software and Driver Downloads

You're using a hub 4 ports with your OTG cable? Which will allow you to use the mouse, the keyboard and the entire USB drive.

  • Cannot access at the beginning of the BIOS to the top

    Hello

My son has a laptop Lenovo G580.  Since last night to the commissioning the keyboard does not work. I can't access BIOS setup F2 or F12 on this machine to check the setting. I can not even access F8 to run mode without failure. The laptop has windows 8 OS.  I ran the Lenovo Solution Center and I got some errors:

    • Checkup: Manager bus devices (support of virtual storage) StorLIb with disabilities.
    • Analysis of equipment has detected one or more failures. Result code: WHD01V01G-Bj8C9E

If I use an external keyboard, I can only access some windows functions.

I don't know if the problem is the keyboard, HARD drive, the operating system has been corrupted.

The application software only I can open without problem is Google Chrome.  Yet I can not type anything using the laptop keyboard or external keyboard.

    Help, please.
