  I tried this on my purchased v515W recently, but I guess that it also works with the v515 and other Dell all-in-one printers. I recently bought the v515W for my wife who is a user of Mac, only to find out that Dell has no Mac drivers for it. Somewhere on the Dell site, they have a typo at some point that the Mac drivers are available for the printer. I used my Windows machine to install the printer. After much trial and error, I finally managed to get the printer to work from a Mac wireless.

  1. Configure the printer from a Windows machine
  2. Open System Preferences-> Print & Fax
  3. Click the + to add a printer
  4. Hello will now detect the v515W by the name of the printer
  5. Mac will complain that he could not find the printer driver
  6. Manually select the print driver for 'Lexmark S300 S400 Series' in the search box where you can select the printer

  Recently, sometimes when I click on something to print, the printer will make sounds like it's going to print and then... nothing.  The printer icon go away from my taskbar.  I look in "Printers" and the sitting Voirledocument in the print queue, but nothing happens.  I click to restart and nothing.  I click to remove or cancel and nothing.  Finally, I have to restart my computer, and THEN prints the document.  It is very annoying and time consuming, and it is not the right way to print a document.  Can someone tell me how to solve this problem?

  Have you tried to delete the print jobs, update drivers, uninstall-reinstall of the printer?

  * Do you by any chance running Windows 7 SP1 and IE 11?  If so, it seems to be some type of problem with this configuration and some Dell printers. Back to IE 10 will fix the problem.
