VAIO SVE1713D1EW win 8-7 downgrade - Questions

Hello Sony,

Currently, I'm a little unsure of how to proceed here.

I created a USB bootable UEFI with Windows 7 Ultimate x 64, but I'm not sure that would happen if I deleted all partitions.

Question: If I remove all of the partitions is the menu of the button "help"for the deleted start? ".

Question 2: If I wipe the entire hard drive and set it to the legacy mode and sets the drive to use MBR instead of TPG, the pc will always be able to start?

    Is there a question here?

Read your manuals and find a way to use your laptop computer based on the instructions from Sony to connect external (including projectors) monitors for the laptop.  Usually a connection (as you said Windows XP where you have published, probably VGA) for the monitor and a few buttons to tell the laptop to mirror or extend the display to the second monitor.

  • control sign VAIO for win 7 x 64

Sorry, where I can download the control software for the gesture vaio for Win 7 x 64? Thank you.

    Aleksey,

It depends on the model of your PC. I can't check for you because I don't know the model of your PC but you can go to the following site and check, if there is a software of gesture control VAIO for your PC here:

    1) http://esupport.sony.com
    (2) enter your model
    3) click on the driver tab
    4) go to the update

If the update is not there and that the software has not been preloaded so unfortunately your PC isn't a supported PC for the VAIO gesture control.

  • VAIO Duo Windows 13 8.1 questions

    Hello.

I have updated for Windows 8.1 and I'm having a few problems:

1 Vaio Update find are more updated despite several updates on the support Web site. I had to manually install. I'm under 6.3.1.10120. I even tried to reinstall the software.

2 Vaio Control Center disappeared. You try to run updates indicates that I have already installed go but it is not yet listed under programs and features in Control Panel.

    3. the Windows button at the bottom of the screen does not work at initial startup. If I'm on the desktop then it works fine afterwards. Weird.

If anyone has any suggestions, especially to solve the first two questions, it would be greatly appreciated.

I have same problems after upgrade to 8.1. However, updates VAIO (automatic) worked once at the start. During the 2nd couldn't get downloads.

I also had the same problem before the update. The only way was with manual updates from the VAIO update web site.

  • Satellite A300 PSAG0A: Vista to XP downgrade question

I just bought a Satellite A300 with the following details:

Model satellite A300/Y00 (exclusive to Dikc Smith Electronics in Australia)
    PSAG0A-02Y009
    2.1 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo T8100
    2 GB RAM DDR2 (667 MHz)
    250 GB SATA HARD drive
    Graphics Intel X 3100 (GM965)
MS Windows Vista Business pre installed
MS WIndows XP downgrade for A300 recovery disk media

Basically, I just turned on and configure everything, nothing about that fact yet, not even other software installed.
I immediately made 2 copies of the recovery of the product for Vista media. So the disc XP and Vista should have all the drivers on them.

I want to install a software particularly (for programming electronic components), but the company said that it is not fully compatible with Vista. Therefore, I would like to downgrade to XP and use it for 6 to 12 months, and later POSSIBLY roll back to Vista.

Now, the information provided by Toshiba are limited with respect to the downgrading to XP. (And there is absolutely nothing about to go back to Vista).
The documentation provided shows four options at retirement:
    1) recover to out-of-box-state,.
    (2) covers the single State of Windows,
    (3) recover without changing hard disk partitions,
    4) recover on a custom size partition. He then goes on to say "Please do not select 'Recover without changing the partitions of hard drive' as a method of recovery." Windows XP cannot be used by the composition of the partition of Windows Vista".

First of all, what are the ramifications of the other options? What is the best/worst one and why?

If I understand correctly, the partitioning of the hard drive must be changed for the downgrade to XP.
But in Vista, there is a separate partition to store data recovery, so that the partition will be changed (lost).
If ever I decide to go back to Vista, the Vista recovery media I created also change the partitioning to the way it was originally?

I dared not touch anything until I'm 100% sure of what needs to be done.
If anyone has any experience with this or advice, I would be grateful for your expertise.
Feel free to be as detailed and technical that you like - I want to 'understand' and not just 'do '.

    Thanks in advance,
    Robert.

    Hi Robert

I put t have Satellite A300 and I don t have an Australian notebook but I m, owner of another European model Satellite with preinstalled Vista operating system!
In any case, I want to share my experience with Vista and XP and of course the recovery procedure on E

First I noticed that the new notebook series is not delivered with the Toshiba Recovery CD but the image recovery is store on the HARD drive and you can create and burn image from own DVD.
    Seems that you already have.

As you already suggested the Vista supports 2 different partitions. A partition is the system partition and the partition of the other, smaller, hidden was created for Vista backup files. So if something goes wrong with your Vista operating system, you can use the repair function on Vista to repair the operating system. In this case, small backup partitions, hidden in necessary.

I also like Xp and that's why I installed it on my laptop. I didn't format t disc installed HARD but the XP on a new created partition.
You can create a partition in Vista's disk management.
In any case, I now have a dual boot OS and I use Vista and XP.

    With regard to the use of the Vista DVD recovery;
If you want to go back to Vista, you will need to boot from the Toshiba Recovery CD and the Vista installation process should begin.
But be aware that the Vista recovery CD would format the whole HARD drive.
It would erase the partitions and remove stored data.
Therefore, you must back up your data before that you would use the recovery CD!

Hope this little info will help you.

    Good bye

  • Aspire M3985 (win 8) graphics card Question

Hello, my m3985 Aspire with the following standard configuration:
    WINDOWS 8
    Processor Intel Core i7 3770
    nVidia GeForce GT640 4 GB
    1 TB harddrive
    8 GB of DDR3 memory
    DVD-Super Multi drive
    Card reader
    Bluetooth Wireless LAN +.

The problem is if I can change the GT640 my own GTX 750 Ti is in it - can I? Because the GT 640 55 watt TDP and the GTX 750ti is 60 Watt TDP. 5 watt is not much of a difference right? But I am still concerned about the amps of power supply. So what to do ?... There is also a sample file for the manufacture of graphics card...

    As much as I fear.

The data in order to provide for the graphics cards come directly from Nvidia themselves: GT640  GTX 750 Ti

If you're really worried, you can upograde your diet too. Around 500-600watts will be more than enough!

  • Win 7 printer network Question

I have a printer Canon Pixma MX882, with two desktop PC and a laptop, (all Windows 7) with FIOS Actiontec router. The 2 PC's connected by ethernet directly to the router, then the laptop uses a wireless connection. I need to print from all three computers. Until recently, the printer has had a direct USB connection to a PC, and I print from other PC and laptop sharing the connection of the first PC to a USB printer. Recently, I got tired of having to get up the first PC to print through it, I gave up the USB connection and using the installer of Canon on the original disk, reconfigured each work station so that the printer and two computers have direct wired to the router. It works very well. My problem is to get the laptop to print over the network. I have full working wifi connection from the laptop to the network, but I don't know how to get the laptop to recognize / connect to the printer. I tried using the window "Add printer" in the window "devices and printers", but it is not fully connect. The printer appears to install the drivers, but the icon of the printer Canon eventually grayed out in the "devices and printers" window. When I try to print a test page for it, nothing happens. Any suggestions? Can I use the Canon Setup disk to connect the laptop, and if so, what choice LAN do during the installation: Wired? WiFi? I tried the whole other road to manually set the IP address of the printer, etc, but no go. Suggestions? Also, if this is posted in the topic wrong forum, please advise. Thank you!

Can I use the Canon Setup disk to connect the laptop, and if so, what choice LAN do during the installation: Wired? WiFi?

Yes, it's exactly what you need to do.   If you run a workstation installation of work (as opposed to a printer setup assistant), the choice will be between a network or a USB connection.  (Wired or wireless is not relevant), when you select network, configuration normally search the network printer and set your driver accordingly.

The JDD info is a bit misleading.  There are few printers that make the user to connect by USB first to install a driver.  This is the exception rather than the rule.  The printer should be on and connected to the network when you run the workstation installation program.

BTW, for all your computers in order to access the printer, it is immaterial that the printer is connected to your Wireless router or Ethernet cable.  It is a common point of confusion.  Your computers communicate with the printer via your router and can do wired or wireless.  How the router communicates to the printer is a separate issue and makes no difference from the point of view of a workstation.  The rule is - if the printer will be located near the router, using a wired connection for optimal speed and reliability.  If you want to locate the printer elsewhere where you cannot use ideally a cable use wireless.

  • Another way to downgrade to win 8 pro for win 7 pro

I got a new Mini-Tower xps 8700 with 8 pre-installed pro victory. I think this falls into the rules of dell for win 7 pro downgrade. The question is can I use a reinstall pro 7 dell victory of a computer drive dell laptop to achieve this downgrade?

"I got a new Mini-Tower xps 8700 with 8 pre-installed pro victory. I think this falls into the rules of dell for win 7 pro downgrade. »

They are not rules downgrade "Dell"... they are rules of downgrade from Microsoft, and Yes, Windows 8 Pro (Pro ONLY) qualifies for the downgrade rights.  Activation for downgrade rights is the responsibility of the user, so you can activate it using ANY other license (even if used on a different machine/account without affecting this license)... a Dell installation DVD is eligible.  Normally, a Dell installation DVD requires NO key to enter, and the range of systems that work with a DVD is extensive, but not universal, so if it asks for a product key, you will need to have one of your own to provide.

    Why would you downgrade?

  • Satellite P70-A-104 - cannot find webcam driver for Win 8.1

    Hello

    I installed a 2nd HDD with Win 8 Pro 8.1.
I've also downloaded all the drivers available for my model P70-A-104, but there is no driver available for the built-in WebCam FHD Toshiba. I also checked the other models from Toshiba with camera of 2 MBit FHD.

Is there someone who knows where to download the correct driver? I know there are some tools for the driver updates (25-30 US$), but they do not display the missing web cam driver.

    Your

As much as I know there is no webcam driver for Win and no driver webcam for win 8.1 because s webcam notebook module is controlled by internal Microsoft driver provided with 8 Win / Win 8.1

Question: do you have any yellow exclamation point in Device Manager? I guess that the webcam is listed here...

  • HP-G71-340US: win 10 update

    (1) I did the upgrade to WIN 10 successfully in the hope of accelerating my laptop. Unfortunately, after 8 years produce a lot of junk on my HD I will do a clean install on the first day of this laptop using the HP restore disks that I created.  Then I plan to re - run the upgrade to win 10. My question is "restore disks not formatting on its own process or try to fix it? I want to have a clean install of Windows 7 before making the upgrade to win 10.

    (2) my current operating system is Windows 7-32 bit. Can I install the 64 bit version after I have do the restoration?

    Thank you

Boot from recovery disks must format the hard drive and restore to the original. However-since you have already done the upgrade to win 10 just clean, you can install it without the need to recover first to Windows 7. Once a machine has been improved with a qualifying operating system, it is possible to do the clean install of win 10 and get automatically active due to the hardware profile stored on Microsoft servers during the upgrade.

I don't think you can switch from 32-bit to 64-bit using the upgrade process, but probably possible to do the clean install of Windows 10.

If you don't have Windows 10 installation media to boot from to use the tool to download and process "to another PC installation media.
