• "missing or not valid customization information resources library missing" on CS2

  Problem:

  I just installed CS2 on my Gateway desktop computer the other day. I was unable to use CS2 because I maxed out my code series on another laptop for work. I went a head and deactviated the serial number for CS2 and uninstalled on the laptop. I could use the CS2 on my Gateway desktop computer and transfer code series.

  I go to my office and the CS2 still doesn't load right.  Okay, so I try to uninstall the CS2.  But there is no uninstall file and it does not appear in the uninstall Manager in Windows 7. So go a head and remove the majority of the CS2 in my program files and then try to reinstall a new copy of CS2.  I get an error "missing or not valid customization information missing resource library.

  How can I work around this new error? If I can reinstall a working copy of CS2 on my desk. It's a little frustrating.  Anyone experienced the same problem?   Any ideas would be great.  Thank you

  1. install Windows Media Player (except if it is already installed).
  2. in services.msc or "Computer management", change the account that uses Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. Changed to "Local System account", but "allow service to interact with desktop" UNCHECKED. Restart this service. This was necessary to be able to add folders from my FAT32 external Western Digital HDD.
  3. click on Options
  4. click on library
  5. click on configure sharing, then the checkbox "share my media to:

  Get the error: not a valid 32-bit application can have several origins:

  I have listed some of them below.

  File is corrupted, bad or missing:

  Ø If the hard disk is damaged or bad, it can cause work programs to fail, either because not all data can be read from the hard disk the program is damaged on the drive. Run scandisk and defrag on the hard disk to check for potential errors.

  O if you run the program from a shortcut on the computer, verify that the program is still on the computer. In some cases if the program is no longer installed on the computer, you can get this error.

  File is not designed for your version of Windows:

  Ø If you try to run a program that is not designed for your version of Windows, you can get this error.
