  You have a hard drive partition to do - but you would need to contact/see the FAQ from the hardware manufacturer (HP, Dell, Gateway, Lenovo, etc) to see if and how.

  Otherwise - you might have to order (pay for possibly) the factory restore/recovery of the value of the manufacturer.

  Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

  Would appreciate any help on the issue. My operationg system going nuts and I want it back using the toshiba HDD reserved sector Recovery Wizard.   I think the error message must be correct to Windows 7 and you must do what tells you the message: immediately back up your data and replace the HARD drive with a new one. In your case I would never save important files on the HARD drive. Too risky to lose important files

  Your laptop is 4 months old and that would mean it s covered by the warranty. Contact your local authorized service provider and ask for a replacement drive. They will exchange it and the service is free. :)

  Copy what you can from it to your backup device. You may need several attempts to make the copy.

  Don't try to backup the drive: is not remaining usable for long enough for a full backup complete.

  Then replace the disk and reinstall Windows and your applications and data, and retrieve your information from the user of the copied data.

  If you do not have a Windows 7 disc to the seller, you have really even a valid license of Windows 7 at first.  A valid license of Windows 7 includes documented product key, original installation DVD and the license agreement wrote.  The "song and dance" the seller "lose the drive" everything is wrong in itself.  If the seller cannot provide a disc of Windows 7 genuine, real, the license is not valid because as a result of an incorrect license transfer has occurred.  The only media that can replace Microsoft are "retail" and not "OEM" meida.  See: How to replace Microsoft software Carey Frisch
