  As far as I know, all you can script with the rotate view tool is to select the tool itself. Unlike most other tools, you cannot use same tools preset with the display rotation tool. So I don't think it's possible set or get the angle of the view.

  You can also test the setting of the rotation brush with your brush settings. There may be questions if the brush is a sampled brush and the brush in your screenshot looks like a sample brush for me.

• Prevent the reset to the Initial Angle encoder

  I currently have an enoder connected to a meter entry on my data acquisition card.  For my approach, I need the ability to start/stop the task to read the encoder.  My problem is that whenever I restart my task, the encoder is reduced to zero (My Initial Angle).  Is anyway to avoid this?

  Your reply to #5, it is clear that you should NOT stop the task when you want to go down to a slow sample rate.  I've got 2 basic approaches to suggest:

  1. approach HW: you use a counter to your measurement of encoder.  Is your other available counter to generate your sample clock?  If so, you can simply change the output frequency of the counter on the fly to change the sampling rate according to the needs.  A possible disadvantage is that the data buffer real CQI will provide no clue as to which the rate has been used for which samples.  If this is a problem depends on your application.

  There is actually more complicated possible method based on using a dummy AO task it (if you don't have a real AO NI hardware task) as a sample clock because AO rate can also be updated on the fly.  Then, you can use your 2nd meter to measure the clock, so you should have a record of all the timestamps.  You must be sure to keep your starts and readings in sync, but it's certainly doable.

  2 SW-approach.  Always taste the same pace and always retrieve data from the buffer quite quickly to stand.  But at the time of 'modes of sample' slow, extract only the portion that you care to keep.   Overall, this approach is probably more simple, but the former is too clever not to mention.

  You were already on track fundamentally with your thought to share the sample clock I.  What you might not have realized, it's you POUVEZ stop the task to HAVE (manufacture of the sample clock stop) WITHOUT stop the task of the RTC.  You can restart the AI at a different rate.  During the time that the task of IT is stopped, there is no sample clock pulses causes encoder CTR values to be buffered.  However, the register real account will always be increment/decrement properly for track position.  When you restart the AI at a slow pace, you just respond to sampling/buffering the position values.

  You might find it useful to the Protection of the Session State feature. Refer to the Guide and experiment with it until you understand that it offers. Also note that your application must implement the authorization to access data at the lowest (after - submit processes), assuming that a determined user will be able to forge a key in order to access the lines of the user is not authenticated to see. You can consider using the functionality of MEV of the database as well. But the Session State Protection is a means to discourage the user from tampering with URLS. You can't hide the URL in a safe manner. And don't forget do not expose sensitive data in the URL, such as the ID of the employee.

• Incorrect values of frequency quadrature encoder measurement

  I use a rotary encoder with the slice has and tranche B and an exit on the ground, attached to an M - series SCB-68 that is attached to an NI PCI-6221.

  I use the soul hollow low frequency Freq 1 Ctr.vi I added some time a loop to and is attached below.

  I tied to the 9 PFI for the measurement of the frequency of the phase a. (I have attached to the floor to phase B 10 PFI and D GND).

  When I run the VI I get a rate that fluctuates wildly to reach as high as 2285714 Hz frequencies.

  I used a multimeter between phase has and ground wires and got a rate of 118 ~ 122 Hz which corresponds to the number I want.

  Should what steps I take to get the correct frequency in LabVIEW?

  My ultimate goal is to find the speed of ROTATION of the encoder that has 64 PPR.

  You probably pick up glitches on transitions (encoders tend to be quite noisy signal sources).  These seeds would record in the form of very short impulses, which may be calculated to represent very large frequencies.  To resolve this problem, you must enable digital filtering (see the user manual of M series):

  

  The foregoing will cross any superior to 6,425 impulses, but will ignore the little glitches that you probably see.

  Hi Hyo,

  To the best of my knowledge, the PCIe-6351 isn't any FPGAs; FPGA is generally available on the platform of RIO and R series cards. As such, I'm a little confused by what you mean when you say that you want to transfer the values of voltage for the FPGA VI.

  If you use our API of DAQmx LabVIEW, you can use redeclenchables Analog Input to collect a finite quantity of samples of your card for the acquisition of data each time a trigger (e.g. a pulse encoder) is received. This article has a bit more information:

  Hi all. I was banging my head against the wall for a while on it and hoping that someone can help me.

  I use a USB-6008 DAQ hardware to read a rotary encoder. I pulled the rudiments of the attached VI of the forums, but I modified to work with an encoder with an index. All I'm doing is reset to the "value of the degrees to zero whenever the value of the counter (Encoder index) increases a. I thought I was good at using the shift register, since it must retain the value of the previous iteration (just before the index spent). The problem I have is that two courses to the function values ' lower to "always seem to be the same, so my 'degrees' value never resets. What Miss me?

  PS - I need to use the meter (instead of just another digital line) because it is essential that the index value is never missed. And I know using a software based counter as this tends to miss a digital input signal here and there.

  Suppose that your encoder runs at 1 rpm = 1 index pulse per second. You are turning your loop to 1000 times per second. It is not clear that the 6008 reads the line of DI and the meter that fast. The software update timed AO rate is 150 Hz, maximum. If it reads fast, get you 999 readings of 0 and a reading of 1. • How constantly sample meter signal for quadrature linear encoder

  Hi all

  Trying to permanently change value of Schneeberger linear encoder quadrature at certain frequency as 10 Hz of the sample and the output to the text file. Everything I choose in the external clock that I can't run the DAQ assistant. No one knows how to fix? I don't know what kind of clock can be used.

  I have read a few replies that ppl would connect to an another sample clock in parallel with the meter channel. But I don't know what is the principle of operation of this method.

  I spent already as 10hours on it. Could someone tell me that some information?

  Hi George,.

  You'll want to use the DAQmx API rather than the DAQ Assistant.

  The task of the encoder itself would look like this.  You need not use the trigger options.

  The problem is that you will need to generate a clock from another source that the card is unable to generate examples of clock counter directly.  The simplest is probably to use the second counter.  Here is an example showing how to use a meter to output as a sample clock (although the example shows the analog inputs, simply replace the task of analog input with the task of the encoder shown in the previous example, I linked).

  So, you would use a counter (say ctr0) for the task of the encoder, and then the other (ctr1) meter for the generation of sample clock.  You must specify your task of encoder using the InternalOutput of ctr1 as the sample clock (if the internal counter output appear in the drop-down menu, click with the right button on the terminal and select the e/s name filtering > include Advanced terminals).  Start the encoder task before the output task (although given that both are running continuous it doesn't really matter that much).

  In addition, 10 Hz is not too fast.  If the exact date is not as important and the above seems a little overwhelming, it might be easier for you to just run a loop of 100ms clocked by the software from example like this.  Note that the exact time loop pourrait will vary from cycle to cycle, so this method is not very good if you use sampled data to perform calculations of rates.

• RTSI sample clock source

  I have a small question on an example of clock by RTSI source.

  In my configuration, two PCI cards (PCI-6602 (dev2) and PCI-6110 (dev1)) are connected by a RTSI cable.

  I would like to build a clock on 6110 source sample and use it on 6602 counting external impulses of entry.

  In the MAX test Panel, I checked that a meter was reading of external signals.

  However, the vi attached do not work, and the whole County, and then give an error of 200284.

  Could you tell me what is the problem?

  I guess that something is not right on the clock signal routing. I have to use DAXmx connect terminals vi instead of external signal?

  How can I check that both devices are connected through a RTSI cable?

  I recorded the cable and connected devices on MAX with no problems. Is this enough?

  Several things briefly:

  • Must match the orientation of the RTSI cable.  Connectors are generally indexed to ensure this, but if you use a cable in water House, just keep it flat between the boards.
  
  
  • The code you posted attempts to use the time base internal 20 MHz as a sample clock.  That will not work for several reasons, and the fact that you try suggests you may have a poor understanding of the functioning of the meter.  You do * not * need to "sample" at a pace high in order to catch the digital transitions.  The meter circuit manages everything in the material.  What you "sample" in a task of counter is a County registry value.  Digital TTL edges which are worth little matter how many times you "sample" it increases.
  
  
  • I suspect you want to * account * cycles of the clock of the signal of your 6110, be it a train of pulses counter or a sample clock based on the tasks.
  
  
  • I am writing an example that does without buffer sampling clocked by the software, to approximately 10 Hz.  Dev2 uses to generate a pulse of 1000 Hz and uses Dev1 train to interrogate the County registry value in a loop.  It is simple from the code you posted to help unravel the special problems of routing RTSI config problems.  Start using something simple like this to see if DAQmx succeeds routing signals through RTSI.

  Well, here is the work routine for syncronous data two encoders, and it seems to work very well.

  I have this working with my two 2000 encoders of CPR, let's see how it works when I get the CPR 500 000 encoders later.

  The three major problems that caused it does not work have been:

  (1) argument to the task of createCOpulsechanfreq must be between 0 and 1 of the cycle Theduty.  I had ' 50.0 ' before, it works when it is "0.5".

  (2) the time base sample that I used (ctr7) necessary must be started before one of my two angle encoder tasks have been created

  (3) the string "dev/PFI8" should be replaced by ' / dev/PFI8 ".   I don't really understand why, but it was what seemed to fix it.

  If this question has been answered...      Now I have a different problem when playing 8 values PWM both with the Semiperiodcounter, which I'll post in a new a different thread.

• Retrieving XML data and make it available in a DataGrid

  I need to retrieve the xml data in the file below (mycontactdata.xml) which will be in my current folder in my project directory. I just need to get the XML for the node 2 (list of CONTACTS) which must then be displayed in a DataGrid control.
