Various problems with the latest Firefox, not necessarily caused by Firefox

Windows 7 with firefox 34.0.

A few days ago I installed firefox 34.0, and at the same time, AVG safe Search decided to move against my will in Firefox. Since then, I had a few problems. I can't tell if they are caused by Firefox or AVG Search. I hope that someone can identify the culprit and have solutions.

(1) AVG safe Search took over my home page. I don't want to. How can I get rid of him? I tweeted AVG and they sent me 2 removal tools that don't work

(2) when I type in a text box on a web page, while I type and apparently random times, the slider switches abruptly to the url address bar and I have to find myself typing in the address bar.

(3) when I navigate on a Web site, it disappears from the address bar, sometimes but not usually, web page normally, but the url just disappears and says "search or enter an address.

Thank you...

Hello richlaughlin, please try to reset firefox - this can probably solve all three of these problems...

I am very satisfied with the latest version of Firefox!
The following problems occurred that will never happen to me using Firefox before:

1 I started to see some blurry text characters sometimes. I thought that my video card was dying, but it does not occur with any other software including IE. I could find on Google instructions to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox that fix.

2 AutoComplete and cookies seem to be insidious. For example, to go back on this forum and remembering opening and password was a real task - I couldn't get rid of a choice of incorrect logon name.

3 when I click on a link or an icon to call a web site, I get a screen about empty half the time and I have to close Firefox and view the page a second time to get it.

I have been using Firefox since it came out and was a big fan.
How can I find that an earlier version, it is driving me crazy?
I really don't want to start using IE or Chrome.
    Thank you

  • Too many problems with the latest version of Lightroom

    Hi all

I have too many problems with the latest version of Lightroom (CC 2015.2.1 1046594)

In fact, the latest version of 3 or 4 were bad: instead of doing better, I always had more problems.

So I would like to go back to a previous version of lightroom

Adobe customar care, in Italy, is unnecessary:

    they can just to:

-looking for answer on this forum

-saying "you solve your problems just with the de-insall and re-install it.

    stop, no more...

in this way they create me a lot fo iusses...

I use the English version of the PS and LR, but they made me reinstall the Italian version of CC because it has been blocked

the result was that CC does not recognize software, due to a different language version

so, I contacted again Adobe Customer Care... they said "no problem, uninstall LR, delete these files and install this...

I did and I let go 2 years to develop the parameters on the correction of the colors for my clients because they told me to remove a folder, I need!

so, I ask you now if there is a way to return to a previous version of lightroom, any previous version...

I never found better performance in more recent versions...

I've always found, performance slower, more problems...

personal idea: I do not understand why adobe are boicotting itself, but I think he do!

    Thanks to you all

  • I use view all bookmarks to set up a menu. When I click on something it often becomes hidden behind the menu page. This started to happen with the latest Firefox upward

I use view all bookmarks to set up a menu. This page is now tagged library.
When I click on something it often becomes hidden behind the library, rather than to the front where it is supposed to be. It started to happen with the latest update of Firefox.

    Can it be fixed?

Sometimes, I noticed when I open a link in Firefox that the window that I expect to appear and stay out in front did not stay in front. I have not been able to identify a model, and just try once your script, it's not happened to me.

If you have a widescreen monitor, another option for the use of bookmarks, in addition to the Library/Organizer and the dropdown menu, is to use the sidebar (press Ctrl + b to open and close).

  • HP Support Assistant unable to fix a problem with the CD/DVD not detected

I have a G42-415DX laptop and I can not read cd/DVD, it was working fine 3 weeks ago and now nothing / I tried the support assistant and he could not solve the problem.  I got a message saying the driver must be reinstalled, how do I reinstall the driver?

    Hello

If you do not get the chance to use another PC, I would definitely create the CD and the DVD bootable as it would give a clear indication if there is a hardware problem with the optical drive.

In the meantime, try following the procedure in the title of the subheading "Let me fix it myself" on the link below to remove upper and lower filters (if these registry keys exist) and see if that helps the issue.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/982116

If find you the following registry keys and delete them, restart the laptop before checking the disc.

    Kind regards

    Please solve this
    Thank you

Yes, it wasn't a problem in earlier versions and the display size was independent of the settings of your system. However the arrival of high-resolution poster has necessitated that firefox now follows this convention, otherwise, it would be unreadably small on such systems...

something you can try if you want to set the size/pixel density of the text in firefox is different from the settings in your system as it has been addressed in previous versions, enter on: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named layout.css.devPixelsPerPx. Double-click it and change its value to 1.0 (or any zoom factor that fits your needs: 1.0 corresponds to 100%, 0.8 is equal to 80% and so on;-1.0 is the default and will comply with the configuration of the system).

  • With the latest Firefox, I get errors on Tumblr and Flash blocking drive almost everytime I watch a video on Tumblr.

This has been driving me crazy for days now. I've updated to the latest version of Firefox, but whenever I go to a Web page on Tumblr, (my dashboard, my personal blog, blog of someone else) I'm bombarded with error messages saying too "recursion." I get usually anywhere from 3 to 5 messages per page. I went back to 34 Firefox and can now access Tumblr very well, but then I am faced with a different problem. When you watch videos or the vines on Tumblr, they can spontaneously trolling, jigging or stop playing. If I try to resume them, then they might start to play but all the sound elements will be cut. This seems to cause some sort of problem with Flash Player, because after what happens on Tumblr, and then it will happen on ANY video game site that I visit. If I try to watch a video on Youtube, the video will be spasm for a few seconds and then go on static and say "an error has occurred, please try again later." I tested it on other video sites like Blip, and they also cause audio and video bugs. Even if I close Firefox and start it again, the problem will not be solved. The only way I found for fixing injuries is manually reinstall Flash Player (which forces me to reset Firefox anyway). This was a great nuisance, as I had to reinstall the Flash Player and reset Firefox about five times every day for the last week or two. This leads me to consider dumping Firefox for Chrome, and I don't want to do that.

Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - avoid that it happen

It is also possible to watch videos in the HTML5 video player, if you turn off the Flash.

you want to know why you see this?

There is NO SUCH THING as Flash Player Pro. No Adobe. Has never been.

The reason why that see you in ALL browsers, is that your OS is infected with Adware.
