VCS political appeal - exclusion on a specific model

Hi all

I open this topic to take some info about the call on version 7.x current Cisco VCS policy.

In my case, I created an ISDN GW, which is used with the prefix '9 '.

TTO avoid "fraud toll" on my ISDN GW of the Public Internet, I implemented a policy of appeal on response of VCS Expressway to by a '403/decline in politics' every attempt from a source not authenticated composition [9](.*) @.

I hope it works perfectly.

But now I am facing another behavior. My VCS numbering plan is 9910XX... so this means that the MCU uses this range for Multiway as well.

When I'm escalting a Multiway call with one external and unknown, the Multiway send a SIP refer to all the end point, inviting them to dial back 9910XX @ to enter the ad hoc Conference.

But it starts with 9, and political calling kick.

So, my question is, is it possible, on the policy to call him, to avoid the call attemps starting with 9 of unknown source, unless it is within a specific range (9910XX @)?

I'm a bit of confusion, I don't know how to make an 'exclusive' to a rule in the appeal policy.

Thank you very much!

See you soon

Gabriel,

If your ISDN gateway is to record a prefix of 9, then this prefix should belong exclusively to this gateway, you should not allow other devices to use aliases from 9 and shouldn't Multiway. I would recommend that you reconfigure Multiway and endpoints so that they use pseudonyms beginning with other numbers.

  • Can I write an expression for a value of the model you are looking at, rather than a specific model?

I know that I can make an expression to a particular layer in a model specific to get a value, for example. COMP ("OpeningTitle01"). Layer ("TITLENAME") .text .sourceText will get the value of the TITLENAME layer in the model OpeningTitle01, but I want to make several compositions (so I can add them to the queue of rendering at the same time) where each will change the value of the underlying model.  Is this possible?  The model where I will use the expression is nested on 5 levels below the top level, and I want to put the value in a layer in each of the new compositions.  Any help is appreciated-thanks guys!

  • specific models of the user

When you use TS, it is possible to create your own templates with code snippets, as follows, and so on. Is it possible to have different models for a different user, so that when a user connects, it has its own models?

    Thank you.

What you want, it is doable but not advised.  Here's what I'd do if I really really want this:

In the FrontEndCallbacks.seq located here: C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\TestStand 4.1.1\Components\Callbacks\FrontEnd you'll find steps that called whenever a connection and disconnection occur in TS.  WARNING: Antics with this recall may cause undesirable results.  OK, now that you've read the warning carefully note prerequisites and actions of the post to two steps from there.  What you can do, is call a code here that will replace your Templates.ini file with another.  This file is located in the folder Cfg TestStand.  C:\Program Instruments\TestStand 4.1.1 NIUninstaller then click on the Cfg.  Set up a file ini file to a developer and an INI file to another developer.  Place them in a different place.  So when opens TS and a login occurs the recall of front end will be called.  Your code replaces the file Templates.ini by the correct one based on which connected.  Use Engine.CurrentUser.LoginName.  I would like to make the call in my cleanup step group as he is called after the connection occurs.

I created a simple FrontEndCallbacks.seq which shows how to get the user who just logged in.  If you want to see it in action, then rename your old.  Place it in the above mentioned folder and click file > Login of TS.

Let me know if you have any questions.

  • Restricting calls between a subarea and specific extensions on Cisco VCS

Hello, I use Cisco VCS 8.5.3, my goal is to restrict calls between a subarea and specific extensions.
    I tried following solutions:

    1. Download of XML strategy
    2. Use of political appeal web interface in order to limit calls

    XML file:

But when I apply the XML file, or try using the web simple rule (for example: 11111 12222 destination source, dismiss the action) I'm still able to place the call to 11111 to 12222.

What can be the cause of the problem and what else can I try to be able to prohibit calls between a particular Subzone and exentions?

Attached, is an example of CPL script that should work.  Using this script, CPL, I was able to block calls to a subarea set to a destination alias located in the subzone of default and was always able to call any other end point in the default subfield without problem.  Note that you must enter the name of the subarea, as you have configured on the VCS, including spaces if they exist.

The scenario is based on the example of CPL "limiting access to a local gateway" X8.5 VCS Administrator's Guide on pg 413, other documents of CPL reference and examples can be seen starting on pg 410.

  • How to insert text in the middle of the file data model text in specific places?

    Hi all

I need to add (text) data to specific model of existing text file locations and then rename the newly written file.

This is a more compact and more efficient way to do it. You can optionally replace the recursive section of path with the file entry list VI. (the file IO - palette of functions of advanced files, take a look at the help file, you can search for a model in the name of the file and returns an array of the file found paths).

  • VCS VCS - E, TMS, TMSPE, Jabber/Movi authentication

Just trying to figure the best way to approach this.

I have read the documentation and the best approach seems to get to the VCS VCS-E to Active Directory and the synchronization of the TMS with AD for user account creation. This would avoid the need to records movi proxy for control of VCS and would ensure that all (SIP and H323) registration for the VCS-E would be authenticated.

I don't think that my client will allow the VCS-E talk to AD.

    So, what are my options?

If I SIP proxy of VCS-E records the VCS control, how are they managing H323? I don't want just any point endpoint h323 register with the VCS-E. I need to authenticate them. The customer has exernal h323 endpoints that they would like to sign up for VCS - E. I know I could put registration rules to restrict only some URI SIP, H323 IDs etc but it's really just security by obscurity.

The local on VCS and VCS-E database can be used for authentication Movi/SIP and H323 records? I know that I would have to duplicate accounts and passwords on both.

What books commissioning and address through registration to the VCS-E? Would it still work?

Any suggestions on the best way to handle this in the safest way possible without breaking things?

If I go with the control of VCS and VCS Expressway with authentication Active Directory (directly) on the control method of the VCS as described in the guide of authentication devices, I'm looking for the reality that I will not be able to restrict who can register for the VCS-E? At this time should I just seek to restrict the search for rules to only authenticated users?

    Thank you

    Jon

    Hey Jon,

MOVI/Jabber you won't have to worry about authenticating H323. With your endpoints however you can just use the database local to authenticate or H350 (more can be read about in the guide of the Provisioning device referred to as Tomo). You can create a different generic for all your endpoints (less secure if which is discovered). But by combining this feature with a political appeal will ensure better security.

I highly doubt that your client will allow you to leave the talk VCSE in AD. For movi/jabber users, you can create another subfield and use a regex pattern for point movi/jabber users to authenticate it as. * (\.movi)@domain.com. In addition, you can refer to this fragment and others have used in the past.

In a secure design, the VCS (control and Highway) would require identification for registration information.

The Control of VCS would have Active Directory Service active and joins the Active Directory domain. For VCS authenticate the credentials of Movi/Jabber on Active Directory before the SUBSCRIPTION for the supply is sent to the service of commissioning, the default Zone would be set to verify the credentials. For requests for SUBSCRIPTION from the highway, the area on the VCS control would also to verify the credentials. It handles authentication for the provision.

The next part is the record of the Movi/Jabber client. The subzone to which the customer will register must also be set to verify the credentials. Here's everything you need for internal records (registration to the VCS control).

For the Highway, things get a little more complicated. For commissioning subscription, the SUBSCRIPTION is forwarded to the VCS control. With the area on the VCS game to check the credentials, you're all set. Now on registration to the highway. The subzone to which the customer will register to must be defined to check credentials. From the motorway VCS don't have direct access to Active Directory, we use local credentials on the highway. A set of credentials should be configured in VCS Configuration > authentication > devices > local database. You will create a single name and password all Movi/Jabber clients will use. The end user has NO need to know these credentials. The username and password is provided to the Movi/Jabber client via configuration data it has received. To set up these data, MSDS, you must configure a SIP of authentication user name and password for SIP authentication in the configuration of the commissioning. For these options to be available, you must ensure that you have downloaded the configuration template xml for the Movi/Jabber version you are using. The xml file is included in the zip package full of the client which can be downloaded on www.cisco.com. So, who will be recording from the highway. Now, this creates an interesting situation with VCS control. The internal Movi/Jabber client will receive the same provisioning configuration and will attempt to use those same credentials when you register for the control of VCS. The VCS control is already set to authenticate against Active Directory and Active Directory ONLY registration.

You will need to create an account in Active Directory corresponding to these credentials. The Active Directory account didn't need special access. It is used only for authentication purposes. A few things to keep in mind: SIP authentication user name and password for SIP authentication are stored in clear text configuration configuration. This means that the data is sent in clear text. To be sure that these data are not compromised on the wire, do not forget that you are using for your communication SIP Movi/Jabber TLS.

With this directories will always work as jabber should be authenticated in order to receive directories. Your physical endpoint points will work differently with how they receive books and whether or not they are able to communicate with MSDS (unless you choose to configure endpoints also if those you are capable).

It is in no way the design as safe as possible. It is to you to ensure that your environment is as secure as possible and therefore tested. The best way to fix everything is a well-defined appeal policy designed with your specific needs.

The foregoing is in no way a recommendation but just a little more information to chew while looking to choose and implement what is best for you.

  • VCS - CPL to block call routing to and from the same area of neighbor

    Hi all

Is there a CPL rule that can be written to block calls from a neighbouring area to the same area of neighbor?

We have problems with CUCM sent appeals to the our VCS VCS then routes the call return CUCM, causing thus "too many jumps."

    In the example

MOVI user control VCS try to compose endpoint registered RTC CUCM, but incorrectly dials

Appeal does not have to search for the terms of local area

Call does not match search for VCS Expressway rules

Call corresponds to captures all of CUCM (. *) @domain.com

CUCM does not form DN or URI for the wrong phone number and the call is routed to the VCS control due to the SIP routing model of *. * on CUCM

We have to capture all CUCM at the end, since we offer PSTN, as well as our users and phones have the alphanumeric URIs assigned to the DNs for Jabber, etc.

I fear that he is not really an easy way to do it, I know because the call charged CPL first, CPL don't know what area it was intended for.

It's probably more easily accomomplished with a slight modification to your rules of research rather than spraying anthing "@domaine" everywhere - something like:

Anything incoming directly at @domaine in the nearby area of the local area (as is inside your organization, such as if the CUCM not found and sent it to the VCS he won't be on the CUCM, so must be local (or nonexistent) - and stop.

And the opposite of the above - route whatever it is for @domaine of the localZone.GetDaylightChanges (because it was not found locally) to stop and the CUCM neighbour-

And do similar for what is coming from other areas outside to route to wheverver that will be endpoints.  In this way, your call should not be bouncing back between the CUCM and VCS and create the loop that you are currently experiencing.

Of course, if your environmetn is a little more complex than the simple CUCM and VCSes, this can be a bit oversimiplified, but could lead you in the right direction.

Another thing to consider too - if you put in your endpoints in a directory, users can use - that will help you to prevent wrong type stuff :)

  • How to activate the two IPS on VCS starter pack express

I have the Starter of Cisco Express works with a single IP address using a NAT. This only works inside the LAN. To enable this machine on the internet, I bought the key option to double network interface. I enabled both interfaces, but I don't know how I should configure the two IPS by access from the internet. I tried to activate the static NAT, but it did not work.

There is only a single default gateway and this is where most of the traffic will be released and which should point to the internet router.

If you have addresses of internall more than 'LAN', you can simply add additional routes via the administration console.

As if LAN is connected to LAN2 192.168.150.0/24 and you 192.168.175.0/24 your home and where your laptops

router for tha is 192.168.150.1 you would add that, on the road to xcommand, add the command:

    xcommand RouteAdd

    *h 'xCommand RouteAdd'

"Adds and configures a new IP route (also known as a static route)."

Address(r): "Specifies an IP address used in conjunction with the prefix length to determine the network to which this route applies."

PrefixLength(r): <1..128> "Specifies the number of bits of the IP address which must match when determining the network to which this route applies. Default: 32"

Gateway(r): "Specifies the IP address of the gateway for this route."

Interface: "Specifies the LAN interface to use for this route. Auto: the VCS will select the most appropriate interface to use. Default: Auto"

for the example given, it would be (user admin via ssh):

xcommand road add an address: 192.168.175.0 LG: gateway interface 24 192.168.150.1: LAN2

But to be honest I'm not sure jabbervideo it works well with the highway espress in

    a lan environment double anyway.

As with a vcs - c / e deployment you have the model of the internal and external with vcs

different hosts where he tries to get funding and then depending on who gets the data

for the record. It may be that in any case only get you external IP of the vcs-e.

I would therefore simply deploy a DMZ where the outside and inside can reach the starterpack with

the same address or even external ip using a NAT that is hosted in LAN1 put directly on a public ip address in a dmz...
