Vector group control points for simple gradient mesh color

I work with some forms of gradient mesh and it is a pain to have to individually select the points in the middle of the shape to choose their color, then deselect them when I want to edit the points on the outside.

I tried grouping When selected the appropriate, points but does not seem to stick. Is there a better method of workflow to keep the color of gradient meshes of setting?

Thank you!

With the points you want to be able to select again selected, go to the select menu-> Save the selection.  Then you can get to this selection at the bottom of the selection menu.

  • Control point for endpoint connect is compatible with Windows 8.1?

    Original title: CheckPoint endpoint connect

    Hello

I'll do the upgrade of Windows 8 Pro for Windows Pro 8.1.

By choosing the upgrade path that allows me to keep all the files, settings and applications, it shows that the only application that I have to uninstall will be Checkpoint Endpoint Connect (which currently runs under Windows 8 Pro).

At all known installation CheckPoint EndPoint Connect on Windows Pro 8.1 and installed successfully?

    Thanks for the reply.

I've went ahead with the installation of Windows RTM 8.1 and took the risk that Checkpoint would not be compatible.

I was able to uninstall Checkpoint, as part of the upgrade of Windows 8.1 window and subsequently install Checkpoint endpoint connect successfully.

Therefore, I am happy to say that for our Organization and our version of the control point, it is looking like it is fully compatible with Windows 8.1.

    Thank you.

First of all, thank you for taking my comment or the constructively. And 2nd, I apologize if you found my comment as rude, I didn't do it. The line I wrote "let oracle docs to be your friend" is a sentense I always use and used as you requested that you need a reference where it says to use FSMTT only as the other parameters. This is why I gave the link to the doc and tried to cnvey the message that its documented. This was my intention. I try to stay away from making personal comments of any kind. I aplogize if I seem disrespectful to you. I know most certainly not in a position that I can act like one all-knowing-expert and less than other disrespectnig.

Yes, he did sound that does not (and do not) read the docs, based again on the question you asked. Normally what I observe is tht if someone has a habit of reading docs, he finds the right to answeer, at least as to the questions as a reference parameter. This caused my assumption that I was wrong about the base.

I agree with your points. If one reads the Google search results, he should be able to seggregate of chafff wheat, who; s everything I say all the time. And readnig docs shows abot it. Docs being long and boring, I agree.

It's a lot of work for a day and it probably means, I know very less compared to you :-).

  • Oracle concepts: Clarity on the control points required

First of all, I should mention my understanding, and then I'll raise my doubts/queries:

I think I know just enough of what are the points of control and their purpose; in order to validate and to have a deeper understanding, I was going through section "Importance of control points for example recovery ' chapter 'Instance of Oracle database' of ' 11 g Release 2 Oracle® database Concepts'.»
    -Oracle link Docs
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/server.112/e25789/startup.htm

Now I need some clarification on the mentioned content there.

I knew that control points are used to ensure that the control file and data files are synchronized and and it is a point where recovery instance is required, doc Oracle he mentions as a control point position.

    First question:
I see many types of checkpoints mentioned here as put on checkpoints, Tablespace and data files checkpoints and additional checkpoints, I tried to get that said, can anyone make it a little clearer to me in simple terms?

    Second question:
In the Oracle RAC environment, there are several threads to redo (one for each instance), how recovery Instance that happens? It is not clear to me, I want to say how serialization between multiple threads to roll forward to retrieve one or more has no instances?

    Kind regards

The term "checkpoint" has changed meaning over time. The original meaning was close to your description - a control point has allowed Oracle to determine that all blocks of data changed before a specific point in time (SNA) was written on the disc - however there are has reasons why Oracle might want to make sure that a specific blocks of data modified subset had been written on the disc and that's why the checkpoint term has expanded to cover the options such as a checkpoint of tablespace, or a checkpoint of object reuse. For example - if you truncate an object, then Oracle must copy everything puts in buffer for just that object on the disk before making the data dictionary and the space of management changes which perform the truncate (where the control point"reuse of objects '").

    Second question:

All active instances in a RAC system will be constantly chatting to each other on the network and via the control lead - as soon as any instance think of another instance has failed, it will try to acquire exclusive global "recovery lock" - on the top of my head, I think it's the lock of the IR. When he arrives this lock, all other cases knows that there is a body controlling a recovery. Indeed the instance that got the blocking takes on the identity of the instance failed to recover through its newspapers online redo - obviously the process are much more complex than that, but it's probably a good starting point for an answer to your question.

  • Concepts of control points

While trying to understand the concepts of control points, I stumbled on the following

    "
TimesTen keeps two files of control point for each database, named
DataStoreName.ds0 and DataStoreName.ds1. * When a data store is controlled
on the disc, TimesTen replaces the older of the two files.* checkpoint
    * Only data that has changed since the last checkpoint operation is rewritten in
the checkpoint file *. The checkpoint operation scans the data store for blocks that
have changed since the last checkpoint.

    "

    I have the following queries

    (1) I thought initially that TTdb manages 2 copies of the same data, so that if a single file becomes corrupt other can be used when recovering - but after reading the above, I believe that it is not so

    (2) the first statement says two CP files older than th is crushed and then immediately the explanations that says only the changed blocks is wirtten to the CP file... I'm very confused now... What recovery will happen in this case, what happens to the existing data?

    Pleas explain the above concepts

The description is poorly written. Each control point image is a complete database image, but they are not the same (since we're still 'new' than the other). When a checkpoint occurs, he writes in the oldest checkpoint file. It does not crush it but rather updates "in place" (by a combination of lseek() and write() operations) to put it in sync with the current state of the database in memory.

Control points are "blurred", because they do not block queries or operations; so the image of control point isn't 100% of internal consistency, but this is solved using the transaction, as part of the recovery logs, to standardize the reloaded database. A clean shutdown a special type of control (a static checkpoint) is taken, and this image is consistent.

  • dying, gradient mesh CS gradient line 6 going to take?

    Hi just wondering,

I had a look at the CS6 preview video and thought to me there will be any use for a gradient mesh now since you can use a gradient to fill in colors for the outline of a shape?

Anyone played around with it enough to tell me what would be the main disadvantage or advantage a gradient line between a gradient vs mesh?

    Nope.

Gradients on traits is completely different from that of the gradient meshes. They replace each other. Two compeltely different features.

You wouldn't get rid of fillings because you can apply color to the traits you?

  • Gradient Mesh tool will not work on a standard gradient

How can I get the NET tool to work on a gradient? If I place an RGB image and create a gradient on her net, I can select each individual point, and then use the color picker to select a color below by clicking on the placed image. However, if I create a gradient on a standard gradient mesh I can not pick up the color of the standard gradient which is below. What is the color picker, raise the overall slope. It does not put any color in the different points of the gradient mesh.

Well, you can always gradient rasterize manually by flattening its appearance...

  • "physical, no written control point" is low, but increase in roll forward does not help.

We have a busy database, the physical write is so high that we want to reduce the physical writing. The statspack, we could see "physical writes non checkpoint" is low in comparison with 'physical writing', so I think the physical write results from control point is high, then I increased the size of Redo from 2 G to 4 G (now the command to log every 4 minutes). I hope that this may reduce the physical writing, but the fact is that the roll increased forward is powerless.

    FAST_START_MTTR_TARGET is set to 0

Make sure that you explicitly defined FAST_START_MTTR_TARGET on 0.
If you have not set it, a "show"parameter will be enabled see the value 0, but the automatic setting of the control point will be . (See Note MetaLink #265831.1)

If the size of redo is 4G, we will have two control points for each 4G...

Yes, there will be one for the log_checkpoint_interval and the other for the control of log file.

  • Gradient mesh - segments distorted with no anchor points

I often run into a very strange behavior with the gradient mesh tool, where a line segment becomes strongly deformed (bent, looped or with a hard angle in it) has no anchor points or control handles to take account of the distorted line segment. I've seen this happen with the gradient mesh tool. In my last occurrence of this issue, I should be a curve segment gently between two flat control points, and on the contrary, there is this huge "elbow" in what was a difficult angle and almost a loop that has nothing to do with the anchor points. There are has no anchor between these two points (I started with a rectangle and has begun adding and manipiulating points).

Anyone know of what I speak and have a workaround or a solution? Or even an explanation of why this happens maybe make me less frustrated.

Meshes sometimes insert points "helper." Switch to the point less tool, then click on the 'assistance' to delete it.

'Helper' points are visible only when the tool Point less is selected. They appear as small, strong, points compared to actual mesh points. Below is an extreme example of the "assistance" points being inserted.

  • using gradient mesh

    Hello

I played with mesh gradients and it was quite interesting. For some forms, my problem is if I select to create a mesh, grid seems all wobbled toward the high and not uniform, mounted inside the form. How to make a uniform grid?  Basically, some of the control points are way off and the outside shape. It is difficult to adjust these to fit inside the shape and makes it difficult to color because when you go from one mesh to another point, there is little or no transition at all.

Appreciate the help and if you have a solution, please provide details in order to get a better understanding of it.

    Thank you.

  • Move the controls the façade of a VI. How do you get a reference to a whole "grouped" controls?

Fundamental problem (boring, if not disastrous - but common - at least for me):

When you try to two sktick different screws together and you copy the block diagram from one to the other, it sticks all the controls in the middle of nowhere.  Then, you will need to spend about 10 minutes by dragging controls to the screen from one end of the diagram to another - sometimes more than 15 screens.  Surely, there must be a better way?

    * Either by the way, you might think that labview would have this kind of parameters in the 'properties' of the control in the right click menu - but not joy.

I guess the obvious thing is that you can write a VI that will get a reference to a particular control, then say together, that is the position (x, y) to zero.  The only thing is that generally, there will be a selection of controls, and often they will be organized nicely - after bring them to zero that you don't want to rearrange their new.  I tried grouping, controls, but then the problem is - how to get a reference to a group of controls.  If you move one of them it does not keep the spatial arrangement.  At this point, I lost - and easily spent more time that should fix this problem.

    Any thoughts?

If I understand you correctly, when you copy the block diagram of the second VI in the first, the controls of the second end of VI place far-field on the left on the front panel of the first, correct?  I think that these added controls will maintain their relative positions between them so you should be able to find them all as a group in the left field. Then it's all just a matter of how to get them enmasse to the rest of the controls on the front panel. There are some easy ways to do this. There is a button on the toolbar at the top of the front window that allows objects to resupply/group/dissociate the façade. You can select all the orders/lights out in left field and ' ' together them. (As an alternative, you can also drop them all on a tab control that will serve as a container for them). Then you select this group and with selected scroll back on to the existing façade and search and select (shift) ALSO a control/indicator to group existing too. Then with the TWO existing of the selected control and the new group (or a tab with the new group control) selected using the ALIGN buttons to quickly bring a corner of the new group in the alignment of the old control. At this point, you can unlink the news and move it where it should be.

  • In what order are anchor command left and right control point values returned by entirePath()?

The entirePath() returns the anchor points that have two values, or it returns an array with three coordinates. I would like to know, in this case, what is the point of anchorage, control point index and values of point of order from right to left?

The three values are leftDirection, the point of anchorage and directed. 'leftDirection' and 'directed' compete in the competition for the worst property names, because they have nothing to do with the left and right. Publishers of fonts and other programs that deal with the use of the perfectly transparent Bezier curves "in" and "out." These words make sense. Adobe of not.

To find out what values stand for, draw a simple curve with three points, then use a script to write the values to the console of the ESTK. Open the transform Panel and check the values it that that you printed in the console.

A major problem in all of this, is that when you select a point with the direct Selection tool, app.selection [0] does not return this point (I forget now what it returns) and get a handle on a selected point is an ugly hack.

  • Create gradient mesh object, object is transformed into a gradient mesh object w / white fill

    Please can someone help?

    Thank you.

Sure. A gradient mesh will have strokes. She will always be fills. If you don't want no fill, you must set the opacity of 0% unique mesh point. But you actually want to do that for the entire grid, because it will be a lot of your time to adjust back to 100% for each unique meshpoint with their colouring.

The usual configuration is rather with the two layers. Allows you to see the gridlines and the model. Then you first set the grid (the color any for this). Then you choose the model colors to color the unique mesh points. From time to time, you switch to preview to admire your work.

  • The use of gradients with the gradient mesh tool

So I have a knowledge base to use the gradient mesh tool, but in my current project I need the gradients in the object to fade from black to transparent (it will be used for a single color tshirt).  I tried to do this in two different ways.  First, I created a massive white rectangle (no line) then created a column of 1 line 1 flat net of gradient on it.  Added the points I need, even added color and fade is exactly the shape that I need, but I can't find a way to get rid of the white and just melted transparent black.  I also tried to create a rectangle with a linear gradient, click on extend and chose the gradient mesh, but as soon as I press ok it modifies in black.  I've included a cropped picture of what I'm talking about.  All the tail feathers need to have this black gradient but without white, it takes out fade to transparent as other gradients around it.  I put a background color behind the image in order to make these areas easier to see.  Looks like there should be an easy fix, but I don't know how to do it. Any help would be really appreciated.

Edit: define all black point meshes.

Assuming that your version of Illustrator allows it, you can get what you want by adjusting the opacity of the mesh points, something like this:
