verification for icloud Keychain code troubleshoot

verification for icloud Keychain code is sent by SMS to the phone number. Help me I can not access this issue because I have a new mobile phone number. My apple account has already changed with my new cell phone number, but the icloud Keychain verification code is always sent to my old cell phone rather than my new number. Please tell me what to do step by step because I'm still a noob

If you cannot access a device with iCloud active Keychain, you can complete Setup by resetting iCloud Keychain on the device:

iOS:

  1. In iOS 8, tap Settings > iCloud > Keyring > advanced. In iOS 7, tap Settings > iCloud > keychain.
  2. Tap approve with Security Code.
  3. When asked to enter your iCloud Security Code, type Code forgotten.
  4. Press Reset iCloud keychain to replace your iCloud Keychain in the cloud with iCloud on your device keychain items.
  5. Press Reset to confirm. You will be asked to create a new cryptogram iCloud.

Why did when I try to turn on iCloud Keychain he ask me if I want to authenticate with my security code OR device, and when I choose security code and then correctly enter my security code, always wants to send another code by SMS to a device for approval?

What is the point of giving me a choice of security mechanism of GOLD code if it is going to require a device anyway?  Is there something I'm missing about this procedure?

    The two methods are:

    (1) require the authentication of a device previously authorized.  This means that the iCloud Keychain system will send a pop-up at all your devices that are currently already using iCloud keychain and authenticated.  This is the easiest method, as it will simply pop up on your other devices and you authenticate with your password Apple ID to give your new device access.  Fact.

    (2) use the Code Security and verification of device Code.  This is where you enter your security code you created for iCloud keychain and then enter the number of secondary authentication received (usually via SMS).  This method for those who may have a backup plan for the first option.  As in my case, I have the SMS authentication will my phone number and my wife's phone number.  While my wife does not access my iCloud Keychain, I can use him as a point of authentication in case I'm not the #1 option.

In your case, you are clearly able to make both options with your iPhone because its iCloud authenticated in Keychain (already using the service) as well as put in place for the secondary SMS verification.

Well, I hope this explains why there are two options and that they could be used differently.  At the end of the day, it allows multiple options for different scenarios.

Try this from another thread I saw.

On iOS, go to settings > iCloud > keychain and tap button to disable iCloud keychain. (you will be asked to delete or keep the passwords on device) I chose to delete...

Then turn it back on, and pop - up chose reset iCloud trousseau, on a chosen pop-up confirmation reset

In the new window pop up use iPhone password like iCloud cryptogram? has chosen the use code

Enter your secret code (4 digits) then choose country and your new phone number

Although, to "Restore the iCloud Keychain," I took to erase the data and essentially set up a new keychain.  Not the case.  Strangely, after essentially bypassing the security system, setting a new password and verification number, I see my cards, passwords and other data have been restored.  Maybe it's all the iCloud account and this master password.  Or maybe it's a bug.  With Apple, we'll never know.

  • iCloud Keychain could not be set up with a valid entry

I use iCloud Keychain for a while now, but last year I worked on a computer not apple. There was therefore no need to sync, so I ignored when he asked me to check my account for her information.

So now I'm back to Mac and I want to synchronize my Wi - Fi passwords with my iPhone. I tried configuring iCloud Keychain (I know the security code and I have access to my phone), but it fails on both my Mac and iPhone. The data there are really outdated, so I decided to reset it and create a new keychain, but I found only the options for that when it is turned on.

What do you think that the issue can be? And what can be the solution?

    Notes:

-below are the error messages I get

-J' tried to set up for weeks now, is not a server failure. Also different networks.

-I know that the right security code, and I have access to the phone number, if I get the verification code too.

    Hello Balint,

Looks like you've tried some, but not all, the steps of troubleshooting for the issue you are seen day or setting to the top of your iCloud keychain.  Take a look at the resource below to this address.  I have highlighted some information for you here, but click on the link for more details.

If you cannot synchronize iCloud Keychain with other devices

Make sure that your device is on a Wi - Fi or the cellular network. If the connection seems strong, try the following steps:

    1. Turn off iCloud Keychain on all devices.
    2. Turn on iCloud Keychain on the device that has the most up-to-date keychain items.
    3. Turn on iCloud Keychain on your other devices. They will be updated with your iCloud new keychain.

If you no longer have your iCloud keychain items

If you disabled iCloud Keychain on all your devices, your iCloud Keychain is removed from the Cloud. If you have chosen to remove the keychain of your devices when you have disabled iCloud Keychain, your iCloud Keychain is also removed from these devices.

You will need to install iCloud keychain and add items again. Apple cannot recover your iCloud Keychain if you turn off iCloud Keychain on all your devices and choose to remove your iCloud Keychain locally on all your devices.

On OS X, if you used Keychain Access to reset your OS X Keychain, OS X will delete your iCloud keychain items. Choose Keychain Access > S.o.s. keychain to verify and repair keychain settings and permissions. If this does not help, reconfigure iCloud keychain. If you need to reset your OS X Keychain again, temporarily disable iCloud Keychain in iCloud preferences before resetting your OS X Keychain.

    Take care

Can you reset the Security Code iCloud until one has the entered incorrectly too many times?

(I am connected to iCloud on my MacBook and want to connect on my iPad, but am unsure of the security code to use, so I want to reset it on the MacBook.)

Apple Help topic for If you register your iCloud Security Code wrong too many times... says:

On a Mac using OS X Yosemite or later:

Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click iCloud.

    Click Options next to keychain.

Click on change the Security Code, and enter a new cryptogram iCloud.

My prefs do not show 'Options' beside keychain. (Keyring is enabled).

  • Advanced iCloud keychain

I have a similar problem on the menu ring to iCloud for iOS as well - I've posted here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7552406

I have a similar problem on my Mac as well - which is the most recent Mac OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.4 (15E65).

Under system-> iCloud preferences, I am connected to my iCloud, but below the keychain, there is no button on the right side for 'Options' as iCloud drive or have Photos. See attached the screenshots below:

    Can anyone help?

I called Apple and everything they suggested was this link: If you register your iCloud Security Code wrong too many times - Apple Support and wait 30 minutes to see if the buttons appear as if by magic, which clearly would not be, even after restarting my computer/iPhone/iPad.

According to this document, if there is no button in Keychain, this may mean that you have already activated two-factor authentication.

  • How can I update the email address for iCloud?

I have a MacBook Air 11 from 2011.  Operating system is OS X El Capitan.

Today I changed my e-mail address and password for iCloud on my devices, but I can't seem to understand how to update the e-mail address on my computer.  I asks me to enter my password for my old address which is no longer valid.

I was able to update my e-mail address and password on my iPhone, but not my computer.

    Thank you.

You need to disconnect completely in System Preferences > iCloud and then signed again with the new code. If you have 'Find my Mac' enabled you need to disconnect from this first, which will require a password: the password can work. If no work, you'll need to contact Support: go to https://getsupport.apple.com . Click on "see all products and services", then "More", then "ICloud", then "account and Setup", then "troubleshooting questions iCloud account." Then click on "no thanks." • lost my iCloud security code help

Lost my iCloud Security Code, Help!

Are you talking about the access code specifically for your iOS device? The page you came here from - linked at the top of this page - tells you what it takes (basically delete the device).

But you said "iCloud", which has nothing to do with the password. You have 2 steps enabled audit? (Otherwise, the rest of this post is not relevant.) This requires you to have two of the three things - your password, a "trusted device" where code can be sent or received when you configure the recovery key. If you lose two of those three things no one can help you, including Apple. I hope you meant password, which means simply wipe the device and restore your data from your backup.
