• The difficulty to create MNU to packed library

  Hi all

  I use a packed library and I'm trying to make him assume a .mnu.

  I want to be able to file my library packaged in the user.lib or vi.lib folder, so my colleagues and I can use the commune VI.

  I answered my own question so. Here's what I did, for those who have similar problems.

  1.) open my library packed project.

  2.) selected the top-level project element.

  (3.) when the tools-> advanced-> edit palette together. (This is why I chose the post of high level for me, this option nothing if I select a VI or some type of project in the tree of files first. "I can also do inside a VI without any problem.)

  4.) under the user libraries, I created a new subpalette.

  5.) under the new subpalette, I selected the fourth option (direct link to the directory)

  6.) I navigate to the directory where I kept my VI in the packed library. I DO not move them to the user.lib folder.

  7.) once the import is complete, the VI appeared in my control panel under user libraries. I also customized my icons and the names of directories at this stage.

  8.) file dir.mnu is created as part of the import in the folder that contains my VI.

  9.) I did a right click on the high level library in the project Viewer and select Properties. I put the dir.mnu as the default .mnu file

  10.) I build the library

  11.) I copy my library packed into the user.lib folder.

  12.) I go once more to change all of the palette, I remove the palette created in step 5.

  13.) I have create a new palette, this time by choosing the option 5 (link to the file of the palette in a project library). The packed library is now part of my control panel. My icons and directories are kept.

  My project structure is to create a folder with the packed library project. I then a subfolder called VI. Inside of this Kathy I store all my VI who enroll in the packed library project.

  It seems to work. But I need to do more tests. I used basic structures. I haven't done it yet with a regime more developed such as pallets of void.

• Version number in "Application Properties" does not match what I put it in in 'Version' on JDE

  I created an application and it is at version 0.9.4.  I put this version number in the JDE under project properties.  This version number is also shown on the screen to start the application.  I create and sign the application.  I send the files .jad and .cod of have downloaded them on our web page.  When I go to our page on my blackberry, it shows that the version is the 0.9.1.  When I install this app, "Application Properties" displays 0.9.1 but the application itself 0.9.4.  I see in the file .jad says 0.9.1.

  How can I match them?  Can I just change this part of the file with a text editor .jad to the current version?

  What version of BlackBerry JDE do you use?  There is a problem in some older versions, where it is not updated the version number in the JAD file.  To work around, you can manually update the version of the JAD file or remove the JAD file, forcing the BlackBerry JDE to recreate when it built your application.

  When I use this library in my other projects the typedefs of config file download cast with my own name of the library in the face.

  No, it is not possible - nothing inside a library (including a packaged project library) gets namespaced to this library (e.g. MyControl.ctl becomes MyLibrary.lvlib:MyControl.ctl).

  If you want to avoid the stress points, you must make sure that you use the version of the control within the library of full project anywhere (if you use one that is the namespace for the ppl)! You may find that you need to have a 'shared' library/ppl that contains your type definitions shared which is mentioned in your application and your ppls.

  This problem exists since the 1st Media Center. SP2 and SP3 had a difficulty, but it is obvious that it doesn't always. The same problem still exists in Vista today with a lot of other carried over from XP. System restore would work, but you do not have any good restore points so reinstall an operating system seems to be your only option.

  You probably don't want to do an OS reinstall you need for Media Center, but since it does not at all, you might want to play then remove the Media Center updates and or SP3 and reinstall them.

  I was able to get the name of the operating system by using intrinsic.flash.system.Capabilities.os
  but I would like to get the operating system version number as well.

• Stuck with trying to get the max of the table version number

  I see she has to somehow select MAX (version) for each different "NAME", but can't get my head around the syntax. What I have to GROUP BY "NAME" and then select the MAX (VERSION) of that?

• Search vi.lib/Utilities of building in a packed library

  If I build a VI in a packed library, which contains some elements of the vi.lib/Utilities folder, the version produced the 'Search' dialog box

  For example a VI containing the 'check if file or folder Exists.vi' produces this symptom (see attached screenshot).

  I tried to compile my project of mass and mass also compile the vi.lib/Utilities folder and it doesn't fix it.

  If I uncheck "Remove unused polymorphic instances of VI ' & 'Delete unused library of the project members' additional exclusions generate a page, it does not it, but my build is 1/3 larger in size of the file if I wait all dependencies to be searched & found.

  Is there a reason that someone knows why it does this and is at - it a better solution than bloating the file compiled?

  I developed a BlackBerry app for 5.0 using the JDE Eclipse.  I have my main application, MyProject project, so a library project, MyLibrary.

  MyLibrary is configured to start automatically when the device turns on.

  Now I have do some customer acceptance testing, I need an easy way to distribute the application (mainly online).  I packed up and signed applications.  However, it's a pain to have to install the MyLibrary project first and then installing the MyProject.

  So, I tried to add the MyProject.jad to the MyLibrary.jad using the tool UpdateJad.exe.  However, I have had no success.  I get a message that I'm missing MyProject - 3.cod (which does not exist).

  Someone can offer me please help?  Perhaps show a little example on exactly which files are needed and how to combine them with UpdateJad.exe?  I've seen other posts on this topic but none helped.

  I have had prior success with OTA but the version number showed as 0.0 and the seller "".  I think that this problem was when I clicked on "title available resources" in the tab "resources" of the project properties.  So far, no other version number value that I have tried has been proven.  Anyone have any ideas?  Thank you!

  I had the same problem. The .jad for a project file does not get automatically regenerated during a build, so I have no pre-build defined in all my projects that removes the .jad file, causing again regenerated each time. You can set a pre-build tab step build of the project properties window. You'll want something in the sense of:

  cmd.exe /C del com\company\product\AppName.jad

  Note that the command runs with his working directory set to the location of the file to workspace rather than the project file, for example, you must specify the path to the .jad compared file.

  Go to project-> Properties-> Flex Library Build Path-> Classes (tab)

  Uncheck all of the actionscript files that are not actually classes, but rather an external import in one class (your MXML).

  Also, for the record, it is common to use lowercase letters for files includes actionscript and no real class. Camel case file names should be reserved for the class files...
