vertical sripes on screen

I need help to solve the problem of the stripes of color on my screen

Hello

These lines indicate corruption graphics driver or lack of graphic material.

Go to the website of the manufacturer of the graphics card or your computer > Search a drivers and download article > search your computer or your graphics card model number > your operating system > drivers for it: either video / graphic / Chipset (according to the wording it) > download and install the drivers.

If that fixed it, it seems to me be a problem of graphic material.

If a desktop computer, or share your graphics card with a good.

Or, if graphics card built-in, you will need to install a graphics card in a slot of the motherboard to see if this solves the problem.

When a laptop; If under warranty, contact the manufacturer.

If it is not under warranty, contact a repair shop, local.

See you soon.

  • Center a HorizontalFieldManager vertically on the screen

    Hello world

    I have a HorizontalFieldManager in a VerticalFieldManager. The HorizontalFieldManager contains a BitmapField in a 'cell' and a GridFieldManager customized in another cell.

    I'm trying to make sure the HorizontalFieldManager is centered vertically on the screen, but have been unable to do. Most of the forum posts say "create your own Manager. I can do it, but I'm not sure that the Manager must specify to vertically Center the HorizontalFieldManager.

    Someone can push me in the right direction? Here's what I have so far:

    imageOutputField = new BitmapField();
    href = new HrefField("Synopsis", 0xffffff, 0x043184, 0x00EF3825);
    href.setChangeListener(this);

    grid.add(href);

    VerticalFieldManager vfm = new VerticalFieldManager(
        Field.USE_ALL_WIDTH | Field.USE_ALL_HEIGHT
        | VerticalFieldManager.VERTICAL_SCROLL
        | VerticalFieldManager.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR);

    horiz = new HorizontalFieldManager(DrawStyle.VCENTER);

    horiz.add(imageOutputField);
    horiz.add(grid);

    vfm.add(horiz);

    synchronized (UiApplication.getEventLock()) {
        add(horiz);
    }

    Thank you!

    Here's another way:

            int leftEmptySpace = (Display.getWidth() - hfm.getPreferredWidth()) / 2;
            int topEmptySpace = (Display.getHeight() - hfm.getPreferredHeight()) / 2;

            this.add(hfm);

    Worked perfectly. In my opinion it is better this way. You create what you want inside of a Manager, and then add the Manager and after that, do the math (with getPreferredWidth/height) and set the margins.

  • Satellite P100-286 - vertical on the screen restart and constant lines

    I got this P100-286 with Nvidia Geforce Go 7900 GS and recently the laptop started to freeze options even with vertical lines on the screen tried recovery cd tried to re - install and after installation, that he started to do the same. I have read similar problems in the forum and this is a common problem with Toshiba? I have spend £1500 on this and it is only 3 years old. My friends have older laptops of this almost 6 years old and in good working condition.
    Y at - it a suggestion for this problem or a solution? The heat on the basis of the laptop is really hot and it's like that for centuries.

    Any help is really appreciated after spending so much like to last longer or it is a problem of reliability with the Toshiba brand.

    Hi vns.

    Hmm strange. I have ever read on these issues here in the forum with Satellite P100. Friend of me has the same model and it s still does work correctly, no problems at all.

    Do you have the same vertical lines on a screen? If so, it is certainly associated with the internal graphics card and not watch.
    By the way: you have the same problem in the BIOS or just Windows?

    With regard to the heat on the underside: I think that it s time to clean it and remove dust. You can do this using the jet of compressed air to blow the dust from the cooling fans. That's why it of not necessary to disassemble your laptop.

  • Satellite P105-S6114 - gray line vertically on the screen

    Hello

    I'm new to the forum so please excuse me if I look like a novice (because I am).
    I have a Toshiba P105-S6114 that suddenly developed a gray vertical line about 1 inch wide and about 3 inches from the right side of the screen. It seems that if it is washed out. You can not see on white screens but is very sensitive to all other colors. It appears when you start the laptop to search on the net, I think while it is on the screen. What is the screen? or something escapes me?

    Please correct me for false assumptions in my post.

    I started pricing new screens. Locally for installing I got a quote of less than $500.00. I saw on ebay (new) about $280.00 aus replacement screens. Installation I expect about $100.00. If someone knows a cheaper solution, I would be very happy to hear it.

    I saw a screen for a P105-s6062 that appears from the PDF file to be identical to the S6114. It is second hand, but sounds like a viable option. Does anyone know if the screens are identical, including the connections?

    Someone at - it any other suggestions? I'd be happy to hear from someone as the laptop itself is large and I don't really want to get rid of it.

    > It appears when starting the laptop to search on the net, I think while it is on the screen. What is the screen? or something escapes me?
    It might be the screen of laptops, but it could also be a malfunction of the graphics card.
    If you first need to know what's exactly wrong.

    In your case, I recommend you to connect a second external monitor to the laptop.
    Then check if the same vertical lines appears also on external monitor.

    If the same could not be visible on the other display, the chances are high that a graphics card is malfunctioning.

    In this case a replacement of the motherboard would be necessary and this would be a costly affair!

    Anyway, in both cases, I would recommend contacting the ASP in your country.

    Good bye

  • Satellite Pro A10 - 3mm thickness vertical line on screen

    I have a thick vertical line of 3mm on the screen seems to come up in colors, it generally moved to gray.

    The display was damaged - or is this some sort of driver problem.

    Hello

    It looks like a hardware malfunction. UPS may be a FL. But I m not 100% sure.
    What you can do? Well, if it's really a hardware fault so the only way is to contact Toshiba service. But it could also be a strange software problem. In this case, the best way is to recover the operating system and/or update the graphics driver. You can also check your BIOS version. If there is a newer version, then try to upgrade the version of the BIOS.
    But if the material is broken, then contact ASP.

  • Green vertical line on screen - Satellite P30 Pro

    A single thin green vertical line appeared about a sixth of the way across the screen. It works up and down continuously and immediately displays the screen is activated.

    I presume that this indicates a hardware failure - can anyone confirm please? Guess I'm interested in large bills?

    Hi Ian

    How is - someone must provide an exactly fault diagnosis without putting the hand on this laptop?
    Here, we can suggest and discuss only!

    If she really looks like a hardware problem, but the question is; What s wrong.
    In my opinion, you must connect the external monitor to the laptop. Check if the same vertical line appears on the second screen!

    If Yes, then the chances are high that the graphics card is broken! This could be a case value because the GPU is soldered on the Board and the entire motherboard must be replaced to solve this problem.

  • Vertical lines on screen

    Can someone help me?

    I have vertical lines on my screen, all the time.
    How can I remove it?

    Thank you.

    To remove them is not so easy because you don't know why they are there.
    The lines can be displayed with the defective display or defective graphics card.
    If possible, connect your laptop to external monitor and check if the same will be shown.

    If the lines are displayed on the external screen, the graphics card is defective and the entire motherboard must be exchanged. :(

    I agree with James. Check if the same product with an external monitor. In any case, it's probably a malfunction of the equipment.

    It s not dull if there line horizontal or vertical s.
    Fact is that this show is displayed if there is a hardware problem.

    How to find what's wrong?

    You could connect the second external monitor to the laptop and could check whether the same appears on the external monitor.
    If yes then-> I assume that it s a GPU malfunction
    If not-> then the screen itself could be faulty

    In both cases, the replacement is necessary and could be costly!

  • Vertical lines on screen - Qosmio F10

    I need assistance with vertical lines on my screen.
    It began before the period of one month, and I don't know what to do.
    Now, I work in SafeMode because Windows XP used to operate normally.

    The service where I bought it, they say I have to buy the new motherboard because the graphics card is integrated on the motherboard and graphics card loses contact with the motherboard.

    Now I should spend about 900 to buy the new card mother and graphics card, but it is stupid because I bought new Toshiba before 2 years for 2,000 and now does not work normally.
    Does anyone has a good idea how to fix it or some pages where I can find parts for my Qosmio? It is easier to say that someone to spend 900 to fix.
    Where are now best Toshiba notebook that everyone talks about.

    Help, please.

    Kind regards
    Mirko

    Hello

    I can really understand you and of course it s very stupid situation, but I guess that the guys of ASP are right and this problem really looks like a graphics card problem.
    The vertical lines on the screen are very typical for a malfunction of the graphics card.

    So I see really no other possibility as to replace the motherboard.
    Maybe you can buy one second hand and it could be a little cheaper.

    PS: I bought an extended warranty with my new laptop and I recommend to all this extension because a hardware malfunction can always happen.

  • Opaque vertical lines in screen of magnetic cover?

    The vertical lines that cannot be rubbed off on the touch screen that is protective of the installed screen corresponding perfectly to the tapes in the protective cover HP. Permanent?

    Hi, I too have the same order of ideas on my Touchpad, but mine will clean the with a micro cloth for glasses.

    If you look closely at each line aligns with the creases on your cover. When the lid is closed and you look lower or higher, you can see a gap corresponding to each trick. The dust gets in and builds up on the screen along this gap.

    I did not have a screen saver but have coverage.  Dust adheres to the surface of your screensaver?

    only thing that makes sense... you could probably pull up the nearest corner of the 'line' and look below...

    Kind regards

    I have connected the VGA output to another monitor, and there is no tape.
    I also unplugged then replugged the cable below the left hinge and no difference.

    If this requires a new screen, it would be probably cheaper to buy a new laptop.
    But is it possible that it's just a problem for cable or contact?
    Or how a UPS fails?

    All advice appreciated.
    Jim

    > I have connected the VGA output to another monitor and there is no tape.
    This means that your graphics card is OK, but the s display malfunction internal for laptop.
    That s in my opinion.

    You are right. Replacing the screen is not cheap the screen and the motherboard are the more expensive parts of laptop and a new screen would cost about 300Euros.

    If your warranty is the replacement must be done for free. But if it s not valid, then you will have to pay for it.

    It would be your own decision what to do and the decision is not easy
