Very low on virtual-PE7 memory

Hi, I'm new on edit my videos - good save for windows moviemaker if it matters. I'm not tech-y but have tried to solve this problem, I have through the help pages and other threads, but it did not work so I hope that someone will be happy to please offer their expertise. I checked the system requirements and I have meet - (1gig ram etc etc). Also, I tried following the instructions in this link to help adobe:

http://KB.Adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb404939 & sliceId = 1

But it made no difference. PE7 may take up to 5 minutes to load and open the project I'm working on. I barely do anything and I get the error message indicated in the title of the topic, and from that point it works if bad I have no choice but to shut it down, wait a few minutes or remove the process through the Manager of task and then open again. Shortly after opening - same problem. He had published a nightmare and reading - well forget get a lot with that. Task Manager indicates it uses a huge amount of physical memory. I am really frustrated and unnecessarily angry with her. Please, if someone could help me I would be very grateful.

The codec is the method of compression that was used to create the video file.

Premiere Elements does not work with all codecs. The MP4s only she can change to any output are files in AVCHD format and then only with the appropriate project settings and the right equipment.

You certainly won't be able to change the Xvid files in Premiere Elements without convert to DV - AVI more traditional.

The Super video converter may be able to do so - even though, in general, are pretty rough for any video editor handle Xvid files.

No doubt, but since MS answers forums does not prompt for any information system when a new question is asked, we do not know much about your system and my crystal ball goes bowling Tuesday.

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

If you mean that you see a message like this:

Virtual memory minimum too low: your system is low on virtual memory.  Windows is increasing the size of your virtual memory paging file.

This means that Windows XP is to let you know that he does his work.  The message is not an error message - this is an informational message.

If XP thinks that the size of the swap file (usually c:\pagefile.sys) is too small to accommodate your day-to-day transactions, it will adjust the paging file to expand the pagefile and display this message as it does.  It is not necessarily a 'problem', but the message is boring.

Sometimes, the message indicates someone was tampering with the XP of the paging file settings to try to solve another problem that usually has nothing to do with their paging file and resolve things inefficiently.

This could mean that the settings have been adjusted for certain values that don't make sense for the configuration of the system.  Unless we know the system better, you can't just pick certain values out of the air and that your system behaves effectively.  You might not see the message again, but this does not mean that the settings are correct.

This could mean that the settings have never been properly in the first place when you first install of XP and things must be properly configured.

Sometimes, as your system configuration changes over time and other applications are running and get bigger, you may add additional RAM to your system to accommodate things (or run the number of requests).

At least that learn you more about managing memory than Windows XP, it is usually best to simply let XP manage the size of your virtual memory paging file.

To see what your current, make settings right click post work, properties, advanced, performance settings, Advanced tab, virtual memory, and then click the button change.

Make a note of the current settings in case you need to change their return more later.

The best setting for the size of swap file is usually going to be:

    System managed size

Right click my computer, properties, Advanced tab, Performance... Settings, Advanced tab, virtual memory... Change.

Note the current setting, so you can change things later if you have a problem.

If it is already done, on the size of swap file:

    System managed size

Don't forget to click on Set (to be defined), OK (several times) and then restart your computer.

Windows XP will attempt to affect a swap file approximately 1.5 times the total amount of RAM installed on your system.  To manage the size of paging file Windows XP is enough for most configurations.

If your system is not set to the size of the managed system, you must determine how it changed and why (usually a bad reason), make a note of the current settings to change them back later if necessary, and then change the setting to the size of the managed system, click on the Set button and then click on apply to apply the changes (you will be asked to restart).

"Because someone told me to" is not a good reason to start making adjustments to the size of pagefile.  Setting just above to enlarge it by an arbitrary value can ease the symptoms of the problem and stop message, but may not result in the best configuration for your system.

All the advice to 'Increase the value of the initial and maximum size to a higher value' are misinformed ideas that come from not knowing how to work XP - How do you increase it and what happens if you increase too?

If you want your system to operate as efficiently as possible, you must understand what is happening and fix it properly and not only begin to try things or make some arbitrary adjustments.

The size of the pagefile can really need adjustment, but you should at least try to know what you're doing and why you need to do.  It is unlikely that anyone can tell you how to adjust your settings properly without more information.

  • See very low memory sharing with ESXi

We have recently migrated our environment of ESX4 on the G5 to ESXi4.1 on HPDL380G7 HPDL385 and I see what I consider very low memory sharing levels, and I wanted a second opinion on this.

Today, I put two of our hosts in maintenance mode to strengthen the cluster a little just to make sure it wasn't because of the very spread machines crash on in all directions.

A rapid formation of installation - the cluster has two pools of resources, Production and DevTest.  Both are expandable and unlimited, DevTest for low values, and Production other than high values.

When I look at the summary of the list of resources, I see pretty much what I expect with DevTest, 11GO shared, but the production, which contains 5 times more machines, share only about 1 GB.

When I run ESXTop on the host, even when running in memory of 88%, with many of the same type of operating system on the machine, I see only 1 GB of PSHARE on counters.  That seems very low, and I need some direction that where to start the search.

I have attached a few files of what I see as well.

ESXiTopMemShare is a the memory page on ESXTop showing the low value of Pshare.

Dev_test_mem shows the preview of the list of resources to development/test.

Production_memory shows the preview of the list of production resources

Guest_OS displays the type and the number of operating systems running on the host that the screenshot of memory ESXiTop is extracted - showing in fact there are many similar systems running on the host computer.

Your new CPU will use large pages, who do not - when you hit the claim of memory, these pages will be converted to smaller ones that will begin to share.

  • LR catalog is very low on space

Often, I get a pop up message that my disk containing my LR catalog is very low on space, and he says there are at least 20 MB of available space. The fact is however that I have 36 GB (Yes, GB) available. What should do?

Your problem is a problem of operating system, is not a problem of Lightroom.

Good reading what follows a post on another site on the management of space free PC HARD drive.

City. "Best answer: the amount of space used on your hard drive and how his organization (if you defragmented recently or files are not unionized) affect your speed when reading or writing to the HARD drive." If you are using latest software such as games and photo and video editing equipment you need to keep at least 10% of your free HARD disk for virtual memory (where the pc stores recently used for his work with a program to basically free RAM).

Generally as a rule of thumb:
    (1) delete or transfer the data to your not planning on using for a while or use rarely on a drive or a second drive hard (I recommend a second hard disk if you store a lot of large data files such as videos on your pc).
    (2) uninstall all of the programs that you do not intent to make regular use of old games and other software that is rarely used or has not been used for a while just to create your pc work more hard.
    (3) remove any programs that you do not use that are shipped with your pc. There is generally a 1/2 dozen or better programs you can remove which come in a pack of pc.
    (4) defrag often, often depending on how you use your pc, and how much you write on the HARD drive and remove it. For some people once a month is enough, for every 3-4 days really heavy users would be better for most of the people weekly 1-2 is a lot.
    (5) when you do a defrag not so a cleaning disk before you defrag to get rid of unnecessary files pc stores when to perform the task.
    (6) your PC will work substantially more slow when your HARD drive is full of 50% (when its almost empty). It is simply because it has more data to sift through. find a specific tree in an empty field is much easier to find a specific tree in a forest. The only problem this causes really is slightly longer wait times until you reach approximately 10% of HARD disk space. Once you dip below 10 percent, you can run into problems of virtual memory simply because left them with not enough space to increase the virtual memory. This could ultimately lead to some program your work to crashing. If you want to have 10% more free on your main HARD drive.

Note: Some say 20%, technically you can cram full, but his will alter the performance to do this. As mentioned the most comprehensive hard disk the longer it will take to defragment it (defragmentation unless space empty to put temporary files).

If you keep a large number of data files transfer disk too (I always keep everything on the disc with a master disc and the backup disk in the event of a single disk is destroyed) OR get a second HDD.

If you have just a files of many programs (or large program files) that occupy space but you get full you will need to invest in a bigger primary drive. (which means you need to invest in the OS software, unless you have a copy already practicing).

    End of quote.

  • Required physical server Vs Virtual Machine memory

Is there a white paper explains why we we need less memory in the Virtual Machine as compared to the physical Machine.

The problem is that my boss wants to know why this is so. It is very difficult for me to explain this to him, he wants to see a white paper OR some article on the internet.

As long as a VM administrator, I know that we can add and remove a virtual computer memory but it will be not that simple when it comes to physical servers. I suggested to him that we must follow a standard, and if there is a requirement for business we can increase or decrease is according to the needs. So when the salesman comes in they give us specifications for the physical server and not the virtual and there is always an argument that why should have 6-8 GB memory VM from the outset. In order to avoid everything that the arguments it needs more proof.

    Thank you

Here is a simple explanation of why VM need less memory.  Transparent page sharing.

If you install a virtual of Windows 2008 SP2 single server machine, lets assume that it uses 500 MB of RAM while sitting idle.  It's basically all running components loaded into memory.

If you then put a same VM, the new machine virtual don't re-charge not the exact same components in memory.  ESX will see the same exact memory block has been loaded into the memory of the host Server1 (phyiscal material) and then simply point the virtual machine to the component already loaded into memory.

After the virtual machine has been loaded and GST has kicked, you will probably find that for 2 identical virtual machines you use not only 650MB of memory (not 1000 as expected).  This is because 80% of the components has need of the new virtual machine, it only uses the existing memory blocks, instead of duplicating.

Now, repeat this operation on 10 VM and assume only 50% of the memory is the same between them... it is still a huge economy of memory.  In this case, since each VM Windows is really loading only 250 MB of itself in memory and split the rest, technically you don't need to allocate 2 GB of RAM for each virtual computer... you can easily get away with putting 1 to 1.5 GB on this server and I have always the same ratio of available memory for the programs that you would do if it was a physical server.

After updating my iPhone 6 (9.3.4) the WiFi signal becomes very low! I did everything, but the problem does not stop! I don't a not update my other devices & their very good WiFi signals. Please help me solve this terrible problem...

Here's a tip for the user on the problems of Wi - Fi. Suggest from the top and bottom. Maybe one of them will help you.

    (1) restart you device.

    (2) resetting the network settings: settings > general > reset > reset network settings. Join the network again.

    (3) reboot router/Modem: unplug power for 2 minutes and reconnect. Update the Firmware on the router (support Web site of the manufacturer for a new FW check). Also try different bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and different bandwidths (recommended for 2.4 to 20 MHz bandwidth). Channels 1, 6 or 11 are recommended for 2.4 band.

    (4) change of Google DNS: settings > Wi - Fi > click the network, delete all the numbers under DNS and enter 8.8.8.8 or otherwise 8.8.4.4

    (5) disable the prioritization of device on the router if this feature is available. Also turn off all apps to VPN and retest the Wi - Fi.

    (6) determine if other wireless network devices work well (other iOS devices, Mac, PC).

    (7) try the device on another network, i.e., neighbors, the public coffee house, etc.

    (8) backup and restore the device using iTunes. Try to restore as New first and test it. If ok try to restore the backup (the backup may be corrupted).

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT201252

    (9) go to the Apple store for the evaluation of the material. The Wi - Fi chip or the antenna could be faulty.

Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

    • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
    • Press and hold the Home button
    • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

Take a look this Apple Support article: use iTunes to restore the iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.

    Hello

I presume that you have played the MP3 from the HARD disc and movies from a CD/DVD player

In the control panel - settings, you will find different audio audio controllers
You must choose the reading and put all the controllers of possible sounds at a higher level.
