  Hello everyone, received my storm about 1 week ago. All updates done and everything's fine.

  I have just one problem, there is that a yellow icon at the top of the screen looks like a message icon. It has a number 6 next to him. I'm assuming that it meams 6 messages. My question. If it's messages, what for? I created an email account using my name from verizon and it works fine. A through the message folder and nothing there. Can anyone put some light on it. Thank you, Vinny

• Wi - fi question "BOLD" blackBerry Smartphones

  Just a few (probably stupid) questions that I hope someone can answer.  I have a new "BOLD" on At & t and it connected to my home network.  Y at - it no confirmation that I am connected to my network domestic (or any wi - fi network)?  Has the icon wi - fi on the home screen never changes color?  When I go to 'Manage connections' I checked the wi - fi option, but there are no green tick on the right, should there be?  If my device has access to the network and wi - fi and I opened the "browser" it always opens the Media Net page.  When I go into options > browser configuration and try to change the home page, it doesn't let me, is anyway around that?  If I open the browser how can I easily choose to use wi - fi instead of the corporate network network?  I know that I can open and then go to "bookmarks" and then choose "wi - fi hotspot connection" to use wi - fi, but it seems that there is an easier option.  In any case, I think that it covers.  Any idea is appreciated.

  Very well.  I solved my problem.  I returned books service, duh, and it worked.  I originally had a curve (8310) and use the "peripheral switch" Wizard and assumed that it was a problem with respect the browser and Wi - fi issues that I had created.

  I've always found this area a bit confused, but then again, I would never write a program for me to integrate several languages (which is believe is his main goal even if it has other uses).

  Start with page 145 of the LR3 manual and see if that gets you started.

  Hello. I post here because, in my opinion, is the last thing that I have left to do.

  Not sure if there is no news of this but I'll try to keep it this way.

  Since this afternoon BIS is not register my phone more. It says 'edge' insead 'EDGE '. My BIS data plan has been activated like 2 days ago and it has worked very well so far.

  I called my local operator to support that they sent me the books of service as two times and obviously I did the basics before testing it (take-off at the battery). Nothing happened. Called the 3rd time, they told me that it has nothing to with them more cause it's all they can do.

  The clumsy real thing is that, now that I connect to my personal WIFI bberry email, bbm, whatsapp messenger for yahoo, navigation, absolutely everything, works AS IT SHOULD work on BIS. The second that I disconnect my wifi, there no internet more on it. No more BBM, no more nothing.

  I even tried a wipe. That has not worked either.

  To be honest, it's kind of my last hope before throwing the 10th floor, because it is * bleep * me off.

  THE: After wipe 'the trick' with the connection to my wifi no longer works since all the service books have disappeared. Try saving again does not either, as I said.

  The suggestion is actually replace the SIM... sometimes they spoil. A replacement should not cost anything, I think.

  Oh... more details are needed. Which carrier your BB was initially assigned? And what carrier are you trying now to operate it on? And what SIM carrier do you use? And which carrier BIS account is active?

  These details could be very important indeed. For example, if your BB from Spain, and now you're trying to use it in Romania, you might have for this short period, received service your account of the Spain BIS, but they finally "caught it" and blocked it (Spain or the Romania could have done). So the exact details of your situation is perhaps well critical... using a BB on a different network can be difficult indeed, and some very specific things need to be done in order to make it work well. For example, if your BIS account remains active in Spain, then the carrier of the Romania will not be able to create a BIS account... single BB PIN can exist anywhere in the world in system BIS only carrier...

  Almost all. You'll need OS 4.5 on the curve for streaming video to youtube, go to 'm.youtube.com '. There is no flash drive on the BB, so Flash sites don't do so well. Mobile optimized sites, or sites WAP sites are even better.

  Yes, on most carriers you can "attach" your laptop for the BB as a modem. Some carriers charge extra for this service - for example ATT and Verizon do, Tmobile does not work.

  Why? You must configure your e-mail in order to PUSH directly on the BlackBerry. That can only make sense to you, once you're running.   Hello, I used my blackberry Curve 8310 two weeks so far and I like it a lot! Since I have this phone, I spend more time with my family without missing an important email! I also like its automatic crash when inserting it in the case of protection. I love this phone!

  I heard that I can upgrade its system to be OS 4.5 and yes I checked here page software blackberry and OS 4.5 is available for Rogers 8310. But I want to clarify something important before the upgrade.

  My phone came with an OS 4.2, it was a multilingual version, but it doesn't have a Chinese language support. I need to read the emails in Chinses all the time. Luckily I found an OS 4.2 Chinese version to the download page for Rogers 8310 on blackberry software, and I installed it on my phone. It works perfectly.

  But for the 4.5 OS, there is only one version available for rogers 8310 blackberry Web multilingual. I called Rogers, technical support, they told me that this OS 4.5 lack of Chinese language.

  However, there is a 4.5 OS on the blackberry software download page, Chinese language version available, but for the society of Hong Kong CSL. My question is, if I install this Chinese version of Hong Kong CSL, after installation, will my landline (phone call, emails...) work with Rogers services?

  You can use the software to another provider. As long as it is specific to the device.

  Once you have downloaded and installed the OS on your PC device,

  delete the vendor.xml file. The file is installed in the following directory.

  I'm new to the BB 8900 (received for father's day).  I had previously used a Palm Treo 780.  My mail is via MSN mail.

  I found it very easy to put in place the BB work with my MSN mail.  I am able to send mail from my BB without problem.  The BB seems to question my MSN email account regularly and I get a new mail to my MSN e-mail account on my BB.

  However, I have a question/problem...

  On my Palm Treo, I could see my MSN INBOX and all other MSN mail folders and their contents.  On the BB all the I seem to be able to access all new e-mail messages I receive.  If it is not important that I can access all files on e-mail MSN on my BB, I would like to be able to access the Inbox on the BB MSN e-mail.

  Is this possible?

• QUESTIONS re blackBerry Smartphones: can not sync the calendar gmail for Blackberry Curve 8320

  My schedule for synchronization has been working very well, and then all of a sudden yesterday I noticed my appts to appear twice on my calendar.  Also, I can not one of my calendar entries to delete on my Blackberry!  I have:

  (1) things removed my BB off the coast and off my Gmail Calendar online (I do not use Outlook) to try to remove unnecessary items

  (2) I tried again and again sync but my BB will not be updated with the correct information

  (3) I removed synchronization automatic and that the BB to the manual synchronization only, then tried to Resync just the Pocket to remove all Pocket Calendar events

  (4) I have progressed in the calendar on my BB at a future date, then tried to delete all previous events

  None of these solutions have worked.  Can anyone help?

  Replace it a battery pull, while the phone is on, leave it for a minute, and let the machine restart 1-3 min.

  I recently bought a Sprint 8830 World Edition as a phone good trip/backup. The device is unlocked, as check by going to Options > Advanced Options > SIM card and then type MEPD. All that it shows people with reduced mobility.

  Here's my problem:

  While in the United States just to test, I inserted a T-mobile SIM card and 8830 research for a GSM network, and after some time, shows "no service". I also tried an AT & T SIM card and 8830 is still searching once and after some time shows 'no service '. I get this because I am in the United States? Is this an indication I'm having a problem in another country, using a local SIM card?

  When the 8830 is out, way back when, I found a comment from someone who says

  "This (8830) is unlocked for GSM networks and probably only GSM networks that are not in the same region as Sprint networks (roaming on AT & T and T-Mobile in the United States is probably also out of the question).

  Update went without a hitch (other than to have to restore my backup the data manually - twice.)  First time, no schedule data).

  I have four e-mail accounts.  I put my default Services in the messaging (CMIME) Options to the mailbox: XYZ.

  When I send an email from any of the four accounts and leave the drop down at the top to , it seems that my bb chooses an e-mail account to send the message.  According to what I type in the TO: field, the outgoing account is selected vs. it being left by default.

  If I leave it at DEFAULT, I chose a TO:, and then the outgoing account may change to 123 instead of the default value of XYZ.  Another email is sent to an address or a different contact and the outgoing is now ABC rather than left to default XYZ.  Very weird.

  Has battery pulls, books and Service verification options to the title of email accounts for basic Message e-mail settings - mail Services are the same as the default Services.

  Ideas?  Questions?
