VI changes/projects

for some, with a project as a dependency of vi. My question is that I to vi in the outbuildings of the EXAMPLE: myaccount and I opened, when the project is open, clicking in the dependencies section. If I make changes to the vi, does make changes to the original vi on their own. or just for them as part of this project, if that makes sense?

Thank you

Yes - if you open a VI that is located in the outbuildings, make a change to it and then save you change the original file (i.e. in "MyFolder").

You must be careful when you do that you could break it down another code (or even built in vi.lib screw!).

Probably best to create a copy of the file in your project folder and refresh the project to use this VI if you need to modify it to your current project.

You can also check by using .lvlibs or packages of VI for re - use libraries.

  • Change project prefix

When you create a new project in 2012, there is an option to create a file name prefix. Is it possible to change this prefix later? It would be useful when you create a copy of the project.

I also have a second question, which relates to this but I'm going to move it to a new thread if necessary. We currently have a Labview code that has been written elsewhere and is used by several people in my University (all using the same computer). We want to create copies of this code and all its subVIs so that each user can make changes without affecting the others. For some reason, all high level VI and subVIs are contained in a library, and we have all this access via the LLB Manager. I've not seen this before - I always put subVIs in a folder and a project to manage them rather than a library. What would be the best way to create multiple copies of the code organized this way without creating a conflict? It would involve prefixes? There are probably hundreds of subVIs rename manually would take a lot of time. I saw a suggestion to write the code to make the name change, but it would be nice if it is built in order to add or change prefixes.

    Thanks for any help.

The 'Best' way to do would be to create a project 'Base' that contains a good starting point for "Making of Copies" and then ADD this project to project templates with the possibility of adding a prefix and the banner for the project members when you launch 'Create Project' > 'from the template.

Insofar as "Change the prefix later" you can do it manually from the project or by script Explorer using a backup as rename and avoid any suite for each Member of the project.   You just need the number of callers in memory when the called party name changes to force the registration of the appellants.  (Or you have a lot of work to do to replace the old dependencies with the newly appointed vi.)

Well Yes, that would do it!

  • Change project in a responsive project

Is it possible to change a .cptx already created in a sensitive project? Or is it something I need to start from the beginning? Thank you in advance.

No, you must start over again.

  • Change project settings after you started?

Okay, so my last question led me to another question: is it possible to import or to export a sequence of Assembly, or any type of workaround?  I would get my project in a new one with different parameters (so I would also ask if it is possible to change the parameters of the project after you have started).  Thank you!

Technically, you can't change the settings in a project as soon as it is launched. However, some people have successfully "pirate" in the project .prel file and got it to work. I do not recommend it.

Another option is to use a program like ClipMate to cut your video from a project and paste it in a new project.

  • Still not re-transcoding changed project Hotlinks

Although I am quite fluent with CS products, I am new to video editing, so I apologize if this is a newbie question.  I currently have an Encore CS5 (Mac) which connects the dynamics of the project more sequences in several files of first Pro CS5.  My project is 4.72 GB encoding and I need to fit it on a DVD-5.  In an effort to reduce the size of the file, I cut back credits on several of the films, but no matter what I do, still does not update the films.  I have to delete the resources of creation and the timeline in the project Panel and reinsert them.  Again right click on the assets in the project Panel and clicking on "transcode" doesn't cut it.  I have only one version of these projects (it is so impossible that I added the wrong file in Premiere Pro).  I know I can, lower the maximum transmission speed, but I tried to keep the project at maximum quality.  What I'm missing here?  Thanks for the help!

Still no update movies.  I have to delete the resources of creation and the timeline in the project Panel and reinsert them.

To get a project dynamic link to be updated, you must first select the linked sequence again and "return to the original."  Now help to update.

Do not delete the sequence and relink.  This may work if you change the sequence, but then you have to do other work.

In respect for the total smaller project, see Jim's suggestion to change automatic transcoding.  But since you already transcoded, you must, once again, return to the original on each sequence you have DL'd in yet.

  • Adding my own music to Windows Movie Maker projects & computers mi change project.

I used Windows Movie Maker to make two DVDs for the graduation of daughter gifts.  I was almost done and tried to add my own music but can't seem to figure out how.  In addition, I discovered that my disc on my computer was not working so I saved my projects to a USB key and went to another computer.  When I opened the project format and title pages were there, but all the photos that I spent hours to download and organize projects disappeared.  How can I get my projects into DVD, and how do I add my own music in them?  If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it. I'm short on time.

The Movie Maker project file does not include the source files
(Photos, video clips, music videos) it simply records the path
the files have been imported since the file/s.

Whan you see red Xs where thumbnails used to be
in Movie Maker, it indicates the original source files have
been deleted, moved, renamed or is otherwise not available.

If you had a backup file of all source files on your new
system, you can right-click on the red Xs and get access to the
location of the files and restore the path, otherwise
you will have ot start again.

With regard to the addition of your own music... If you have any questions
import music files it is probably a problem of format.
Convert music clips on the. WMA format before
import into Movie Maker should provide a better result.

There are many converters available on the net... the
the following link is an example:

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

    Format Factory (freeware)
    http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Format_Factory
    (the 'direct link' is faster)
(the file you want to download is: > FFSetup295.zip<>
    (FWIW... installation..., you can uncheck
('all' boxes on the last screen)
    (Windows XP / Vista / 7)

First... after the download and installation of Format
Factory... you can open the program and
left click on the toolbar, the "Option" button and
"Select an output folder to" / apply / OK.
(this is where you find your files after they)
    are converted)

Drag and drop your music files on the main screen...

    Select "while"WMA"/ OK...

Click on... Beginning... in the toolbar...

    That should do it...

  • NEITHER supplied include files copied to project files?

I pulled out a project compiled and disseminated under a particular version of the CVI [8.1.x].

Then some time later, another person retrieved the project for maintenance and has tried to compile it, they could not find the NOR include files.

    They come back to me!

The reason why they could not compile the project was that they used the CVI 9.x.

The project was looking for the include files in \Program Files\CVI81. Complaints went to the Manager.

So, the question is a practical common.

If the list of project files, point on the NOR prescribed [installed] folder locations.

or if the necessary include files be copied manually in 'local' project folders before the release?

    Thank you

    Scott Youngren

    Northrop/Grumman electronic systems

The short answer is no: OR the include files must remain in their repertoire; the IDE should solve all the paths by itself.

    To learn more:

    • #include directives must only list the names of files, not the path names
    • All basic guidelines OR files include must go in the support of style (for example #include )
    • Instruments include files should go in the style of the quotes (e.g., "inifile.h" #include)
    • Your include files may go to the source folder or other folders of your choice (see following)
    • Change project options to set 'Include path' (i.e. folders where the include files are searched): applied to all the draft instruments loaded like a library specific to the current project for application-specific include paths

I always got my projects in accordance with these rules and never had a problem in the upgrade version of the IDE while developing. You will see that most of them is automatically defined by CVI (e.g. when the system asks you to include some files needed for some statement: it uses the correct style).

  • 3D LAYER DOES NOT CHANGE ITS SIZE

I don't know what happens when I convert a 3D layer and try to move in the Z axis, the layer is not to turn, it is as always in the same plane. Everything works when I change project, if I create a new project SORPRISE: works, but when I come back to the same project, still does not... There is something I have not activated?
    Thank you!

You are probably looking to the front view rather than the active camera.

On a sidenote, if you are going to use 3D layers you'll have much more success if you add a camera to your scene.

  • How can I delete an Adobe application project draw on phone?

I was playing around with adobe draw trying to figure how to remove temporary test files?

    Hi John,.

When you're organizing mode (where you can see all five paintings of a project), tap the selection icon (...). Then click on change project. A menu opens, and the first point is the project to delete. Tap that and you will be able to remove the entire project (all five paintings).

If you only want to remove a single canvas of the project, click the Elipsis and then change the project. The Elipsis icon will turn into a check mark and each project will now have an icon of hamburger (a square with three lines) beside him.

Click on one of the individual paintings will place a check mark in the Center (if you want to remove the check mark, just tap). As soon as you see that, tap the trash icon in the toolbar. You should get a warning asking permanently delete the selected drawing 1? If you change your mind, click on the check mark again and it will go away. (You can also press and hold to hamburger icon to change the order of the paintings in the project.) When you are finished, click the check mark in the toolbar to exit this menu.

Be very careful with this function. At present, there is no way to recover the drawings that have been deleted.

Let me know if you have any problems.

    Sue.

  • First elements 12 is cutting images after completing the project

I recently completed a video clip and after the finalization of the draft project and saving it down like a wmv. file, I saw the video and parts have been cut. I use a lot of green screen keying in my videos and sometimes the top of the head of the people will be cut off and images are not aligned to the way I had them in the editing program. This only happens after I save and share the project, but still everything seems fine in the editing window. No heads or members are cut off and the back ground images for the look of effect green screen well in the editing window, once again the project is saved in the background images are not be stretched across the screen as they appear in the editing program. I don't understand why this is happening and I am looking help before I resort to changing my work once again.

Case & point, why do I see in the edit window different from what I see after the project is completed? Help, please!

What operating system is running your 12 items first? For now I'll assume Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 64 bits in the cases where I need to mention details.

What you describe is probably an incompatibility of the parameters of the project to import and export. If we start with the details.

The project is set automatically to the preset or project that you have? (See change project Menu/Settings/general and readings for the Mode edition of time base, image size and Pixel Aspect Ratio even if they seem to be grayed out).

What are the properties of what you put on the timeline of the project? Do the properties of the match source media details of the preset program you use.

Then most likely to cause the problem... your export settings.

What you have written, you probably use

    Publish + share

    Computer

    Windows Media

Now the important part, that you choose for 'Presets' and what are your settings on the tabs in advanced and Audio of the selected preset button/video?

The answers will be your contact information.

If you have any questions about what is written or need clarification on this, feel free to ask. But the answers are the need for all of the foregoing.

    Thank you.

  • e learning for the great change of scale system

Our next project is training for an upgrade of the vast system of large-scale company. Our users are very dependent on the software that will be replaced and several departments will learn their new job. Any suggestions on how to use e-Learning in order to enhance the understanding of the new software?

    Hi Lincoln,

I worked on a number of large-scale IT change projects for international clients. I can make a few suggestions, some associated with Captivate, some e-Learning more generals linked.

On projects like this, I tend to produce three types of training: face-to-face, interactive simulations/tutorials & quick reference card. Ideally all three are planned together, allowing you to create a unique instructional design plan. You want people to be entered into the system, learning to be reinforced, and then everyone to be taken in charge.

Face to face training usually contains a lot of show and tell, where users are shown how to perform tasks and then get themselves doing. Ideally a number of small tasks included and repeated, so they are all brought together by getting the learners to follow realistic scenarios that need all the discrete tasks to accomplish together. I find that a lot of training is not integrate deeply with real jobs of the people and of world using real scenarios helps improve performance and restraint. I did materials where parts of carriage have been pre-recorded, what you can do with Captivate.

Interactive tutorials are usually used as material follow-up to face-to-face modules, allowing learners to go through simulations with guidance when they do something unexpected, well that sometimes there is no face-to-face training and interactive tutorials provide all teaching. These sometimes include sections which simply display to users and ask questions later. Sometimes, they become very complex branching scenarios. Usually, I build all in Captivate, although I find quite buggy and frustrating at times.

Finally, I build small reminder. They are very specific and see the how a well defined work, such as an existing customer address changes. Sometimes Captivate movies, sometimes they are PDFs, they are often implemented as both. They can be embedded and/or linked from the help screens and the FAQ, as well as used in responses from support and further training of the emails. The films tend to be short and sweet: length of 30 to 120 seconds.

In an ideal world, the number of working tools is growing rapidly after the implementation in response to requests for support from users, even if in reality I often anticipate what users will find it difficult and create all these prerequisites for the launch.

If you are going to use Captivate to your project, then I suggest that you test, test and test again before accepting that you will send. It's a little a lot of software, in theory, but it is quite buggy. I'm working on a project with CP6.1 and I have a lot of audio sync problems and video corruption problems publish my last work for less than the MP4 videos.

In terms of effort, my golden rule is 20%, planning, design of 60% and the scripts and implementation of 20%.

    I hope this helps.

  • Combine projects?

I bought PE10 thinking recently Adobe would have resolved all the previous problems with break and short on memory system problems. What a mistake maybe? My projects tend to run 90 minutes or more, and I think it's which dislikes PE10. So, for example, I could split my project in project A, project, Project C B, etc. But if I do this how can I burn these projects on a DVD? Or is it just not possible?

The problems of system resources is crashing and low are probably linked system. This ARTICLE is a list of control on getting before you run the best, then has links on the setting up of its computer and operating system. Finally, there are links on the troubleshooting, and several of the issues of memory/resources. Towards the end, there is a link on this info would be helpful to address the problems.

Now, to change projects, just create a separate project for each segment. Once completed, the share of exports in DV - AVI. Next, create a new 'master' project, import is the DV - AVI, set up the Menu games and navigation and burn them on DVD.

    Good luck

  • How can I change the preference of 4:3 and 16:9?

    Just read the question

You can not change project presets mid-project. You can change only the beginning of a project. (Of least not without trying to hack into the project file.)

The first lesson in my series of free tutorial of basic training with Premiere Elements, Muvipix.com, shows you how to do it.

  • How to convert 16:9 and 4:3 projects

I have created many projects in 4:3 with first Elements 4. I now want to change these projects in 16:9. Each project has a mix of 16:9, and many still photos in 3:2 and 4:3 videos. I can see how to set a new wide screen, but how do I convert the current projects of 4:3 and 16:9. I don't want to have to redo all because that would take many many hours of rework.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately, you can not change project workplace settings. They can be defined when you create a new project.

If you right-click on the project in Flash Builder and go down to the menu to Add/Change project type, you will see an option that says "convert to desktop/Adobe AIR project. Who should do it for you. You just need to make sure to change the root tag of to .
