Video and processor for a pavilion of m8187c upgrade?

I have a pavilion of m8187c and I would like to to level the CPU card and video.

Right now I have an Intel duo 6750 and Nvidia 8500gt.

Does anyone know the CPU the faster I can get away with in this computer?

Also, how on the video card, I want to get the Nvidia XFX GeForce 9800 GTX, would - this work or even fit?

Thanks for any help.

For EXAMPLE, here is a link to the "Product information" pages for your computer:

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/prodinfoCategory?LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3461915

If you open the link on the page entitled "Characteristics of the motherboard", that's what you'll see:

CPU/processor

  • Socket: 775
  • Compatible with the following processors:
    • Intel Core 2 Quad Q6xx0 Quad Core technology
    • Core 2 Duo E6x00
    • Core 2 Duo E4x00

You can install the CPU the fastest there is on this list.  They should all work, as long as, the power is identical to the original.

Now for the video card.  I like your choice of cards.  I was actually looking at the same map myself.  It's too long for my rig, however.  I was emailing back with XFX technicians for several days.  I think that it is 10 "long.  Here is a link to the XFX site compare different 9800GTX cards:

http://www.xfxforce.com/en-us/ShoppingTools/ProductComparison.aspx

They are 10 '' long as I said.  You need to open the case and measure your existing card; including the power connector.  In addition, the remaining distance to the nearest obstacle.

You may need to change your current diet, also.  The 9800GTX takes power connectors '2 6-pin.  You can check out while you're in the case to see if there is an additional connector 6 pin.  It can be hidden in a one out of place in the case.  As a result, search every single hole.  The Tech told me not to use the adapters provided with some cards use molex connectors.  It is only for temporary situations; not for permanent use.

I have a 600W power OCZ GamerXtream and there are 2 connectors.

I hope this helps.

  • Upgrade processor for HP Pavilion dv6-4023TX.

    Hey there,

I am looking to upgrade my i7 bottom range CPU so that my laptop's performance may be noticeably improved, for things such as video, audio and image design. I have an HP Pavilion dv6-4023TX Notebook PC, running Windows 8 professional 64-bit OS.

    This is my current CPU:

    Intel Core I7-2630QM 2.00-GHz (turbo up to 2.90-GHz) processor, 6-MB L2 cache, 1600 MHz,45 W

And I want to update to:

    Intel Core i7-2820QM 2.30-GHz (turbo up to 3.40-GHz) processor, 8-MB L2 cache, 1600 MHz,45 W

I found these details in the

HP Pavilion dv6 Entertainment PC - Maintenance and Service Guide

It's the best processor compatible with my machine, according to the high maintenance manual described here. The laptop has a video player so (ATI) with which I am happy so far. The problem starts to appear when the strugels processor to process the final video file. I have 8 GB of RAM installed on the computer, and I modernize that one for the 16 GB maximum, once I know that I can upgrade the processor.

If you require any more information about my laptop in order to help me, please ask and I will be happy to provide them

If there is a better processor compatible with the motherboard, and you recommend it, please let me know.

Also, if possible, I've seen some of the more recent models dv6, blacks who came just after the dv6-4023TX, who have a HD display.  Is it possible for me to update the display as well? If so, can what part number you recommend?

    Kind regards

    Yanni

The i7-2820QM is your option at the top of the page. You'll need the manual, and I think you might have seen it, but just in case, here it is:

    Manual

Unfortunately, your system does not support 16 GB of RAM. Also from 2 ghz to 2.3 ghz, even with an increase of L2 cache memory won't be a huge improvement. The processor is about $ 150. I'm not sure it'll be worth it, but it's your call. If you need assistance more let us know:

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/Intel-Core-I7-2820QM-SR012-2-3GHz-up-to-3-4GHz-8Mb-5GT-s-PGA988-quad-core-CPU-/261562461727?PT=CPUs&hash=item3ce6566e1f

The tasks you described are probably dependent on CPU but some audio and image design applications depend on the storage access and an SSD can do wonders.  Only the compatible screen is 1366 x 768. Even if you can update the screen, you would seek another $ 150 or more and with your laptop and $300, more than you could probably get a 4th gen i7 laptop computer which can be significantly more capable. Just say "."

  • HP Pavilion 23bw: Windows 10 drivers and software for HP Pavilion 23bw

    Good afternoon;

My problem: I used my HP Pavilion 23bw Fortunately, display for the past 18 months or so. The original software includes an application that allows to adjust the display to personal taste or to preset stations. Very well.

Recently, I decided that I had to be more risky in my choice and mode of life. I gave up condoms, refusing to wear a seat belt and installed 10 windows...

It went pretty well... which is, I only had to reinstall all my firewall exceptions McAfee that I needed for the games and browsing the interweb and install the latest drivers for multiple devices. I'm still waiting for Samsung release their driver Windows 10 for their SSD.

Oh, and the HP software for the display disappeared. > Poof When I got to the HP support for the latest drivers and software, I received this message: no software or drivers are available for this product with the selected operating system. Please make a different selection, or visit the product home page.

To be clear, the continuous 23bw to work fine, except that I can adjust is no longer the display through HP software, and while said Device Manager works correctly, it does not show install asked right after the installation of Windows 10.

    Along with; Camera DISPLAY\HWP304B\5 & 27527e7e & 0 & UID4353 requires new installation.
and: driver management concluded the process to install the driver hp_23bw_win8.inf_amd64_f35a2af5beb87993\hp_23bw_win8.inf for the Instance ID of device DISPLAY\HWP304B\5 & 27527E7E & 0 & UID4353 with the following status: 0 x 0

and even if the correct driver is installed, I lost the software.

    My system:

    SSD Pro 840 Samsung

Card mother Gigabyte GA-880GA-UD3H (Rev. 3.1)

AMD Phenom II X 4 955 BE processor 3.20 GHz

MSI NVidia GE Force GTX 960 Graphics Card

    Apevia Iceberg 680W power

HP Pavlion 23bw IPS LED Display

    64 - Bit Windows 10 OS

    So my questions are, of course;

    1. Is there a work around?
    2. Your technicians are furiously working on the software and the updated drivers?
    3. If they are, is there an expected release date?

I hope hear from HP with a solution or a resolution to come and enjoy any time you spend on my problem.

    Hello-

While the HPSA is a nice utility, I am happy to have now, he could not find updates, that the pilots had already been refilled.

What was missing was the "My Display" software. I went to HP Support, software and downloads the driver, which detected my Windows 10 and said "nothing for you here '.

I then clicked on "edit" for the operating system and selected Windows 7 in the Menu dΘroulant.

  • Upgrade processor for Hp Pavilion p6607c desktop PC

Hello. I have a desktop Hp Pavilion p6607c with an amd athlon ii x 2 220 processor atm and a corsair 500w PSU. I was wondering if I could switch to an amd phenom ii x 4 processor that stretches with problems or if there are all the other better processors that I could update. Only change that iv made about it is that iv added a Radeon HD 5670. Thanks in advance for any help.

    ERICO,

    This is clearly incorrect, as the original AMD Athlon™ II X 2 220 CPU in the computer of the OP is listed by AMD as an AM3 CPU. This is also confirmed by the fact that HP record page for the HP Pavilion p6607c desktop computer reads;

    AMD Athlon II X 2 220

    Speed: up to 2.8 GHz

    Number of cores: 2

    Socket: AM3

    Bus speed: 4000 MHz HT3

Based on this information and the fact that HP list updates for this computer include the AMD Phenom II Quad-Core and AMD Phenom II Triple-Core CPU, which both seem to be AM3 processors, I'd feel safe recommending the installation of a large number of these 95 watt AMD AM3 "C2" not to not UC and 95 watt AMD AM3 'C3' not to not UC.

  • dv7t-2000: upgrade of the motherboard and processor for dv7t-2000

I currently have a dv7t-2000 with [email protected] and ATI mobility Radeon HD 4530 discrete graphics with 512 MB dedicated memory.

I want to upgrade the processor and the motherboard to improve its performance and its Windows experience index (lowest value is the graphics card with destop performance for windows aero).

Is it useful to upgrade (i.e. it would improve windows performance index)?

Is it easy to replace the motherboard?  All the specialty tools?

Thanks in advance for your help.

The dv7 series is a challenge even for experienced laptop technicians. There are several boards of sup and ribbon cables going in all directions. The T9800 will agree and will work on any one of the motherboards in the manual that you apparently (let me know if not) and will greatly increase the WEI on the processor. She is always equivalent to most of the i3 processors.  The HD 4650 is going to be a pretty big improvement on the HD 4530. But that's like saying I'd rather have a 1964 Chevrolet as a 1953 Chevrolet... nor is technologically current as for video cards go. Current demanding games will exceed the 4650's powers.

I checked partsurfer for two motherboards that you list and I checked the manual. There is widespread confusion. PartSurfer lists the jury 294 as a "UMA" or integrated graphics subsystem, and lists the 293 Commission that the use of dual core AMD processors. Something is not good and frankly I would waive the exchange of motherboard, but if you really want to try let me know and I'll try to clear up the confusion.

    A T9800 is about $35.
