  The 210 was a terrible GT card when it comes to compatibility.  Brand can also make a difference. Given that the GT 210 is an old map of the series, I would say get a GT 610 rather like this one HERE and turning the GT 210.  The EVGA TG 610 is also mentioned as being compatible with the Optiplex 390 DT.  I assume that you bought a PCI Express X 16 video card and not a PCI card, correct?

  The NVIDIA GTX 660 should work in your PC if it has not been flashed with a UEFI BIOS update. You will need to check with MSI on this situation.  I have an EVGA GTX 660 and I did the flash of UEFI to my graphics card.  Find out what the return policy is before you buy.

  The CX600 Corsair or CS650m would be an excellent choice for a diet.

  BTW - The NVIDIA GTX 660 is a map of excellent graphics for HP PC that do not run a 8 BIOS version.

  Thanks for the tips. I'm waiting for a guarantee company extended to 'find' a replacement for my machine. Their technology is released and that it was my car making noise. The machine is running but the fan on the card is loud, quiet, then fades in and out.

  The company that owns the insurance policy is CityAssure.com. They were the company that circuit city used for their guarantees. Even if I paid for this policy, and they are jerking me autour, I wanted to know what to do "just in case" I needed to replace it myself. This 'incident', as they put it started 9/7 and they tell me that they won't know until the 10/3, if they can get a replacement card or need to order a new machine.

  As I suspected, the weak link is your graphics card integrated - GMA910GL of Intel is not enough juice (nor has it required WDDM WHQL certified drivers) to properly support DirectX (or a few other things) entirely in hardware (not on Vista or Win7.)  Even the GMA950 chip had problems in Media Center (go all the way back to Media Center 2005); the minimum that worked really really - still - is the GMA x 3000.
  In other words, you need a graphics card.  But you don't have to spend a lot of money - a PCIe card decent (assuming you have a PCIe x 16 location) can be made for<>

  I have not assumed that you could pop the cover off the PC and see what (if any) you have at disposal a graphic slot, could you?
