video cut into sections

There seems to be no have three methods for recording video on the computer.

1. connect the camcorder and navigate to the folder that contains the video and copy it and paste it into the computer. The problem is, the video is cut into short segments and they don't come together flawlessly when they are imported into Movie Maker.

2. remove the SD card in the camera and plug it into the computer. The same problem.

3. use the software supplied with the camcorder to import the video. In this case it is not chop her upward. However, it only allows me to export the video with an extension of file owner. There is no way for me to turn it into a MP4 or anything that can play any other software.  Also, it compresses the file and reduces the quality of it. This is totally unacceptable.

What I want is to be able to take a video, upload them to my computer, edit and share. I want to edit video professionally. I will not be limited to the supplied software editing features. I want windows to be able to play. I also want my mac to play because I use imovie. The seller told me that this computer is compatible with mac. I just roll with it and spend hours to convert the types of files to get more files on my Mac, but this isn't an option. There is no way to do little matter how long I am willing to spend.

Am I missing something?

SOLUTION:

Here is a review for the future reader:

Problem 1: Video files download from the camcorder or a SD card to the Windows computer as to cut off shorts.

Problem 2: Mac is not 'see' the camcorder.

Solution:

STEP 1: transfer the whole BDMV to the camcorder or SD card on an external drive through the Windows computer.

STEP 2: Import through the software edition that you want to use. (In this case, iMovie)  I did point iMovie to import from the external drive and it imported all it detected as a movie.  It's good to anticipate, because it took a long time and it has imported more movies than what I'm trying to change. But it works!

I'm sorry for the confusion.  I imported AVCHD files directly into iMovie 10.1 without converting them to another format first.  I mentioned VideoStudio X 8 as a Windows program that allows you to edit directly without having to convert the video first.

If you want to edit with iMovie, and you have version 10.1, then you should not need to convert AVCHD files to another format before editing it.  I understand not wanting to spend money while you should be able to manipulate the files.  I have a MacBook Pro (late 2011) and used iMovie to import the AVCHD file.

A difference I saw between the Mac and the PC, is that the PC shows the files when you import clips separate way with the. Extension of the MTS and the Mac, importing into iMovie, displayed as a single file AVCHD clips.

When I copied the files to the SD card on the Mac, I copied the entire BDMV folder and then imported the clips in the stream folder.

Just out of curiosity, what version of OS X are you using?

  • Video cutting - I do it wrong?

More of a general workflow question really... my video cutting method always leaves me thinking that there must be a better way. I'm not a pro video, but I have 200 videos on Youtube and I think I'm pretty good with the basics, but I need to save time. One thing I do is update my system so I can edit HD as quickly, but most of the time I'm working with widescreen SD stuff. This question is about the workflow...

Most of my video raw should be substantially cut. I need to know the quick way to remove small sections from the middle of the clip. Generally what I do is to split the clip in two points and remove the part that I don't want to... but when I'm cutting a second video 50 times a clip, this method of splitting and deletion seems klutzy. What I really is put 50 points in the clip and then right next to these spaces and exit. I just need to know if splitting and deleting are the "right way" to remove sections in the middle of a clip, or y at - it a better method?

Unfortunately, the way that you do is really just about the only way, Jasmine.

The program includes a Smart Trim feature to automatically remove your video segments. But these decisions are based only on the video quality, and changes are recommended based on the effect of blur, poor exposure, etc..

If you are creative decisions with each cut, almost to do manually.

In the meantime, to understand how to use the program effectively, you should have a peek at my tutorials of basic training free for first Elements Muvipix.com support site.

When I import a video file into Windows Movie Maker, it plays the video and no Audio how to import the video file so that it contains the audio when the time to line up? Help?

Watch the video file. The last 3 letters represent the file format.

Windows Movie maker only supports the following video file formats:

Video files: .asf, .avi, .dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv

If yours is not on the above list, Movie Maker will have probel play.

In this case, you will have to google for a free video converter and change the format of your video file to WMV. WMV format is the most reliable format for Windows. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

  • rotate the video cut off my head! : (

I'm puzzled. I already have a video that was taken in the direction 'portrait', instead of 'landscape' (normal mode).  When editing, I had to turn each clip that was easily done.

Now, I'm back to do more editing with new images, but the same device, same direction, same everything.  But none!-when I rotate 90 degrees to the right (as I did before) the video cuts now to the upper part of the image.  That's where my head is - MORE painful!

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?  I enjoyed my head for many years, it would be a shame to lose now :))

    Bruce

I think I got the reason lost head. You all had the same 0026 and 0038 except... I think you saved the good and the bad in orientation portrait with different distances of the interlocutor (or ups closer). Therefore, in portrait orientation, there are more wall in the frame located above the speaker's head in 0026 that he didn't there 0038.

With HD 1440 x 1080 anamorphic 16:9 project, you will get a space of 1920 x 1080 (landscape) in the editing area monitor. So, when you rotate the portrait oriented 0026 and 0038 turn right, you are going to lose sight of the content going 1080 x 1920 1920 x 1080.

Compare... portrait 0026 and all this wall over the speaker's head space in the display of 1080 x 1920 (adjustment of the bounding box of note)

with portrait 0026 turn right and with the not seen parts upper and lower... (note that the adjustment of bounding box)

you have lost sight of the contents of the frame up and down... but you got room to spare at the top to speak not lose his head.

Now the same thing for the 0038 not so good (1080 x 1920 display)

    with the right Rotate

    Solutions

If you don't want to remake the records, click and drag the image of 0038 on the screen (in the bounding box) down to move the head in sight, but you're going to move content out of sight down. So, then put the best image you can to get everything...

Please consider and let me know if the above explains your results and gives a possible way to save what you've recorded recently.

What are you - right click the icon on the desktop for Premiere Elements, and then select run as administrator? If so, please return to post 3 where I wrote

You definitely need a user with the privileges of the administrator account. QuickTime as well as Premiere Elements require that. Sometimes a run as administrator (right-click the icon of the program Office) and selecting run as administrator can help. Please check it out. The permissions are important.

  • Is it possible to use images cut into slices with fluid grids CS6?

I have 2 images cut into slices that I use in my page. The site was designed with fluid grids CS6. As soon as the page is rendered more small 1 images contracts while the other remains the same size. Is it possible to make this work or is it just not possible using fluid grids?

It will never work right in fluid networks.  Decide which is more important to you - your concept of design or a sensitive provision.  Unfortunately, responsive web design requires compromises that some designers are not willing to do.  It is certainly not for everyone.

    Hi Christine,

When you say "it isn't there when seen outside the Cp/swf." Using v5.5.l", means that this problem occurs only in a specific output?

Try this - go to preferences - SWF size and quality and under customer, uncheck Compression project advance, republish the course and check the results.

  • How to record a video cut like a new video file for later use in other projects

Hello.  I am new to Adobe Premiere and this might be a really stupid question, but it is possible to take a slice of video, a piece out of it and record this song like a new video file to use in several sequences?  For example, I have a videotape of interviews with a 100th birthday that I have attended and I would like to connect different comments in different parts of a video that I do.  But I would like to create splices of all comments I recorded, consider each comment and then organize the comments on the paper and then go back and put the clips of commentary in different parts of the video master.  How to connect the original video into smaller pieces and set them aside so I can embed clips at a later date?  I know I can cut video and leave it in my main video but I really want to put aside.  A bit like cropping of a picture and make a backup from the cropped image under a different name, so I can create a collage of pictures that result later, I crop.

If all goes well, that makes sense.  I have until December to finish this video wife of Grandpa will celebrate HIS 100th and I would like to have this video to see the family.

    Thanks in advance.

    Mike

Since you have until December, it will be worth your time

  • Video cutting saves memory in After Effects CS4?

I'm working on this project, and I have a bunch of large video files.  If I cut the video within the composition, which saves memory send me things more RAM Preview or speed upward? Or would you say it cuts before you import it into the composition. I'm worried that if I cut the video before importing it, maybe use VirtualDub or AfterEffects himself, I'd lose quality?

The clip was recorded using Fraps in 'full-screen' mode, and I will be output using After Effects to 1280 x 720 pixels. I need to keep the quality so that people can view them later on Youtube in HD.  It is a composition of 6 min.

The problem is that the files are very large, a film of 2 min 30 sec being about 3 GB, and I'm not getting RAM Preview more than maybe 5-6 seconds now because the number of files in the composition (most of them will be used). I've even enabled multiprocessor and increased memory paging file. I was even using an 4 GB with Windows ReadyBoost flash drive.

    Composition settings:

Screening: HDV/HDTV 720 29.97 (this is the correct setting if I want to display in Youtube HD)?

    Durating: 6 minutes

PC: I have 4 GB of RAM on my system.

Total files: about 20 GB, 190 files.

There is another question, I really need to crop the bottom/top part of the clips. For now, I put on the scale clips to exclude parts down, that I don't need, but I was wondering if I should have trimmed before you import them to the project. Which would give me probably longer RAM Preview, but then if I cropped the clips dimensions beforehand they would lose quality? (Once again, done using AE4 or VirtualDub)

    Any help is appreciated

    > If I cut the video within the composition, which saves memory send me things more RAM Preview or speed upward?

What exactly do you mean by 'trim '? Are you referring to the shortening of the duration of the video in the source file? This has nothing to do with the RAM Preview.

    > I don't get preview RAM more than maybe 5-6 seconds now because of the number of files in the composition (most of them will be used).

The number of files used as source for a composition are not relevant to the length of RAM Preview, either.

    > I even turned on the multiprocessor option...

    Don't, don't.

You only have 4 GB of RAM. It is not enough to use the feature of multiprocessing made simultaneous multiple images.

In addition, by using this feature, you dedicate RAM for the rendering process of the Fund, which subtracts the RAM that is available for the duration of RAM Preview.

You have very little RAM, so your RAM Preview times are not going to be great. See this FAQ entry for some mitigation advice this:
