Is there a way to scramble sensitive information in a video demonstration?

Not so easy in a normal cptx project. Either you publish to mp4 and use a video editor own right (like Premiere Pro or After Effects), or you can put a static (such as a form) object on top of the part where you want the information be covered. Who could be a semi-transparent form, or maybe put some dummy characters in it to cover the original text? This second workflow is possible in the video demo, don't need another application Editor.

In Adobe Captivate, is there a way for me to make a video of talking me at the same time make a video demo on my computer?

No, it's possible with video XPress, which ships with Adobe Presenter. With the demonstration video, packed with Captivate, you will have to capture this video separately and insert it as a PIP.

    Hello

Is there a time limit on how long a video demo will register for in captivate?

    Thank you

    Steve

I really don't think that there is a time limit. I have a couple of video demos on YouTube about 5 minutes. I don't think that very long videos for training are very effective.

  • You can delete part of a video demo?

I have a video demo slide and want to cut out a small part in the middle and at the beginning of this one. I don't see that this is possible, but I am a beginner with Captivate, so I could just be missing something.

I assume you're on Cp8 ou9... If it is a real video demo, use the split button. You must define a split at the start and another at the end of the section you want to cut.

If it's a cpvc blade that is inserted into a larger project, then look for the "Edit video demo" button on the side right (the properties panel); It brings you to a place where you can edit the video (which looks like the above).

  • Convert a video demo in an interactive software simulation

I recently created a video demo of long hours of a function of demand, which I cut up into convenient bitesized pieces. It took me forever...

It was created with love and sure for what is said in the brief, I was given - but my memory has been mysteriously changed, and an interactive software simulation has therefore been requested. GRrrrrrrrrrr!

I have a white fully draw on it, but is possible to convert a video demo in an interactive software simulation? It may be obvious, I can be stupid, or maybe there's not a way to do it at all, but any advice on this would be greatly received!

No, Brendan, I'm sorry. An interactive software simulation will be a cptx project, while the video demonstration is a project of cpvc. You can use the storyboard, assets may be static if you added to the demo video, or using a part of the VO if you had them.

A software simulation in Captivate is based on leaves, not video. You may want to use small pieces of the video when necessary. An example: to replace the blades FMR which are inserted automatically when you use scrolling or dragging in the simulation. Due to their poor quality, I mostly replace it with CPVC-slides, that you can create from our project cpvc and insert into the project main cptx.

  • How to change the mouse of video demos?

I recorded a few short video demos and would like to leave the mouse pointer, so it can be seen, but again I have to edit, is it possible to do?

  • Recording a video demo of full-screen as a slide of record

I'm used to create empty projects with different types of slides - simulations, demos, content slides, etc.  If you choose to record a demo video inside these presentations, it seemed forced to switch my application window in the small red box.  If I record a new video demonstration as a project, I have a lot more options like mode full screen.

Is there a way to record a video fullscreen demo as empty a record slide to insert into my project?  I know that I check just a bunch of individual projects video demo as insert as 'media' in my vacuum was planning, but what disturbs and lots of time.  It also creates confusion because the project itself and the video demonstration both of control bars.

Try to record a video demo inside Photoshop, for example, is really difficult inside this little tiny window.  Also, I prefer not not pan, which I find shocking and useless for my students.

    Any thoughts?

    Hello

First, you should note that with any project you create (assessment Simulation, demo, demo, Etc.) once you configure this initial size, that's what you are locked in. So if your computer maybe has a resolution of 1366 x 768 and you create a project at 800 x 600, there is no way to really present a slide to a size larger than 800 x 600, because it is the resolution of your project. Of course, you are able to record a video demo to create a CPVC file, then inside one. File CPTX, you can click Insert > CPVC Slide (at least in version 7, it's how it's done. May be different if you use 8).

You can, however, add some tools to zoom and pan for the video demo. I know that you are avoiding panoramic, but one can think of pan in the type "stop motion" registration and pan is not that you're able to achieve using the video demo.

  • Create new style box to highlight in Captivate 7 video demo to use several files of cpvc

    Hello

Is it possible to create and then save a new style to display that can be used in several projects, when editing video demos in Catpivate 7? I can create a new style of economy, but when I open another file .cpvc is not available and I can't find a way to reuse/import.

Any ideas? I don't know that I made a stupid mistake somewhere.

You can export your new style in a local system folder and import it into your new project using the Style Manager object.

  • Is it possible to publish the. SWF (not MP4) of Captivate 7 while creating a video demo of the project?

    Hi all

I'm upgradiing to Adobe Captivate 7. The previous version, I used was in Captivate 4.

I found a new feature (demo) in the latest version of Captivate 7 which generates a MP4 video output, when the project is published. The feature folders exactly as I want.

Unfortunately, video MP4 does not help me. I need a SWF file to place in my LMS.

Is it possible to get a SWF output using the same function (demo)?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Kitenge

    Hello

It is possible to publish a video demo of the project to .swf by adding the video demo slide in an empty project.

    1. create a project empty, select the desired size of the project.

    2. in the blank project, click on ' insert > record Slide' menu option.

    3. Press 'OK' for the button.

    4. click on the 'Demo' of the record dialog box option.

    5 check-in

    6. Once you are done with recording, delete the first this blank slide in the project

    7. click on publish, select the option "output SWF.

  • Can I add a quiz for a video demo?

I have a video demonstration in captivate and need to add a quiz at the end.  I have converted the quiz for a mp4 and add it to the demonstration video, but I was not able to click on the quiz.

Create a project of cptx the desired resolution (probably the one chosen for the PVC - c).  Insert the cpvc as first slide. If you use the Insert menu, it is labeled "cpvc-slide", if you use the button of Big Bar, it is labeled "Demo." Sorry for this incompatibility. After this first slide, you can insert such that there is much talk of the slides you want.

Another solution is to insert the mp4 as a video, but I prefer to keep the raw cpvc in the same project file, you can open the editor of cpvc-slide.

Here is the timeliine in video editing mode

    Normal_edit_mode.png

    Hi Sabine,.

I am sure that many users do not know the difference. For this reason (do not earn points, really) I would ask mark you this thread as answered. There is no so many questions on all video editor, for some reason (I have my ideas on these reasons). And it's very important to know that you have to add and synchronize static objects in the video editor, even for a dia cpvc which is inserted into a cptx file, because when you insert these objects into the workflow normal editing for cptx-slides, they will never show upward because the video is still on top. When the thread is marked as replied, hope more people with similar problems will find.

  • How freeze (extend) a video demo recorded to add more audio?

I made a few demo video recording in Captivate 6.  There are a few places where I need to freeze the image so I can fit all my audio.  (I'm not good at telling while I save).  In addition to splitting the video and adding white space inbetween, is there a way to create a "freeze frame", storytelling can be completed before the next part of the video?

I use workaround is to create in the video and the trimming of long pauses, but who is causing extra work.  Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    Hi GunBroker,

    Welcome to the Adobe Forums.

You can try an alternative which, instead of using the demo video you can use "Software Simulation" and in respect of the registration window, choose the option "Demo."

Now, when you add audio to the slide, it will give an option to make the same as the audio duration slide duration.

    Thank you

  • How to group video layers to zoom (video demo of the app) together?

IM creating a video demonstration for journalists application and would like to know if there is a way to do it.

I currently have 3 video layers:

V1: Color for the background overlay

    V2: iPhone 6 png file

V3: My file real screencast video

When the key framing for the movement, specifically the zoom and the sliding of the queries, I currently have to keyframe V2 and V3 them separately which is incredibly intense and difficult to align each time during the measurement time. If the screencast (V2 AND V3) could be 'locked' to fit exactly within the file png of the iPhone screen, so I can zoom in together it would make my life so much easier. Is there a way to do this?

    Its called nesting.

GRAP the images that you want to adjust a nest.

Now you can set the parameters of the nest.
