  I downloaded the add-on: "Youtube Video Downloader" FOUR TIMES, but although it shows on the list of Add-ons, under options, I have no icon/button or whatever in the toolbar to allow me to use it. I tried anyway thinking that it might be on auto, but I was unable to download any video from U Tube.
  What is the problem with this one?

• Question to download Flash Video Downloader 3.7.0

  I would like to install the latest version of Flash Video Downloader 3.7.0. Tried to download directly from Firefox, downloaded an XPI (208 kb) file. Firefox is showing that the extension is installed, but I can't open this file to complete the installation. What I am doing wrong? What is a XPI file and why didn't the FVD Suite download?   The extensions are installed only in Firefox and should appear classified in tools > Modules > Extensions

  You should get a command prompt to install the extension if you click on the "Add to Firefox" button on the page modules.

  If you saved the extension to a folder on the computer and then drag the extension in a Firefox window or use file > open file (Firefox > new tab > open the file) to install the extension.

(Or rather, it has worked, but only appear in the forum, as I found out later.) I did another assignment and made a live bookmark for that one. This bookmark link worked. It turns out that the said forum page last published on the Web site has been July 7, this year. This is patently false. Then I made a post answering my second post, to say that the site says no published offers, and a direct link still works. Something may be wrong with the forum software? This announcement was immediately placed under moderation. (The bug I have is vdlh 499 doesn't work with youtube today, and he did it yesterday. Firefox 14.01, Win XP Prof)

  I know it's maybe a bit early to ask here, but their behavior seems to me like an outsider to be a little strange. No answer, no reaction, and then all of a sudden I'm in moderation.

  After a few changes of YouTube on 14 September, Video DownloadHelper was not able to download videos from this site, except the WEBM version using the YouTube HTML5 mode. This problem is corrected in this version of the addon.

  After a few developments of YouTube on August 6, a number of users reported that all downloads did not exist. This was due to a a cookie generated by Youtube. Consistent workaround by disabling cookies before you download was not very convenient. This version of the addon takes care of this issue.

  Earlier this year, other YouTube changes caused the FLV videos downloaded through the method of 'network' to have a fixed size of 1.7 MB and to be unplayable. This is now supported.

  SpeedBit Video has some compatibility issues with Firefox as SpeedBit has not updated their product to be compatible with Firefox for quite awhile - they claim that their product works with versions of Firefox 3 / 2, and yet Firefox is now version 8. Firefox version 3.6 was released on January 21, 2010. That should tell you something, on how much they care about the update of their product.
