  Hey,.

  I tried to reach some mp4 files linked together and can hit mp4joiner (mp4joiner.org). I joined together some mp4s I had downloaded from the internet and it worked fine. The problem came when I tried to join the m4v files that comes originally from the dvd.

  M4v files have been created with makemkv. I then used the handbrake to convert them into a smaller m4v file. mp4joiner will join them together but quicktime will not play the file. When you open quicktime starts to try to convert, then a box pops up saying "quicktime player cannot open filename.mp4" (mp4joiner saved as mp4), and happens on additional software may be required to read the file.

  I put the MKV by brake hand again to convert with extension mp4, thinking it was the m4v that was causing the problem but quicktime won't play anyone (VLC won't play it either, it says codec is not supported, although the sound will play). Why the file play when the source came from the internet, but will not play the file if it came from a dvd? Mkv and Handbrake files play fine, only when I try to join them that will not play the new file.

  How can I sort this or can anyone recommend another program Carpenter? I tried the iMovie but the original videos are 4:3 and iMovie eventually their stretch in 16:9, when released.

  Two files that were originally downloaded from the internet and joined as well as mp4joiner, are not playing the quicktime format. They play but now I'm just the message concerning quicktime is not able to play, what is happening?

  Day before yesterday, I could see and watch different episodes to see the TV and movies that I had previously purchased on the iTunes store - some downloaded some last week, a month or two ago. I'm literally in half way through some of these TV shows.

  Today suddenly iTunes (12.3.1.23) can not see/play these files. They always appear in iTunes 'as if' they are playable, but try to play one of them doesn't that opens a blank screen. Trying to manually open these files from the finder m4v doesn't show even iTunes as an 'Open with' option. They will not open with QuickTime, VLC, or any other application video game I have.

  Nothing has changed except that I installed an OSX update to the security of the system for Yosemite two days ago. I've not updated iTunes, I have not moved to El Capitan again, and as far as I know I am no changes to m4v files.

  Sometimes just logging on iTunes, reboot your Mac and when you log in to your iTunes account has solved some problems of reading. The VLC media player is a feature to fix the index by which I can play the videos on the pc. However, the problem is that you cannot save those changes and whenever I want to read the file I have to re-run the index correction program. Also, given that the index is still broken I can't read the files on my video camera. Is there a procedure or a program that can actually repair the index of avi files and allow me to save the patches?

  There seems to be a bug with export to a network drive.  SOUL will be mux the mp4 movie, but it won't get rid of the pre-multiplex m4v video and files aac audio.  I know that this is not a Finder update, because they are visible from the Windows Server OS, as well.  If I try to manually delete the orphaned files, an alert says that they are still in use. I can only remove them if I stop SOUL... I don't know why SOUL keeps his hooks in the orphans, even after the file is multiplexed, but I'm sure it's happening; and it could happen for several reasons.

• A Bug in Get Photos and videos of files and folders in PSE 8

  Today, I shot a few pictures with my digital camera, then used the Canon software to load to my computer that is running Windows 7 x 64.  The Canon software created a folder named 2010_05_31 in the C:\CanonPowerShot directory and downloaded files. Explorer Windows see the folders and files.

  I started PSE8, has chosen to organize, then a Ctrl-Shift-G to catalog the new images. Organizer is in the thumbnail view. I've navigated to C:\CanonPowerShot and scrolls to the bottom of the window to find the 2010_05_31 folder. Oops, the list ends at 2010_05_13, the last folder I was cataloged in the Organizer.

  I cancelled the import and switched organizer at the sight of folder location. Since I had already catalogued records of C:\CanonPhowerShot, all files have been listed in the left pane - including the new folder 2010_05_31. I have a right-click on the 2010_05_31 folder icon and selected import feature. The files have been imported correctly.

  I went back to the display of the thumbnail, once again clicked on Ctrl-Shift-G and navigated to the directory C:\CanonPowerShot. Once more the list of files ended with the 2010_05_13 file. This time, I looked through the list of 75 records and found the second 2010_05_31 file from above, as indicated between the 2004_09_30 and 2004_10_01 folders.  In other words, it is out of sequence of collation.

  To summarize: when you try to add pictures using the Get Photos and videos from files and folders, the window to select files is not in the proper sequence of ranking. The files are in the right sequence of classification in Windows Explorer. The files are in the sequence of classification appropriate in the left pane in the location of the Organizer folder view - before and after importation. The only non alphanumeric character in file names is the underscore character (_); There is no periods (.).

  Since the folder is listed in the correct classification sequence in both Windows Explorer and in the left panel of the display location of the Organizer folder, I doubt that there is not displayable character in the name.

  Also has anyone seen this problem?  How we report these bugs to Adobe, or should I even bother?

  I wonder if the Browse dialog box has somehow decided to sort by other criteria.  Refer to the screenshot below and try the following steps:

  1. in the file > get Photos and videos > window of files and folders, click the View Menu (1).

  2. Select Details (2).

  3. click on the column name to sort by name - clicking again changes the order increasing, decreasing and vice versa.

  4 try clicking on some of the other columns to sort by them.

  

  Different versions of windows supposedly remember the last settings for a folder, but I can't ever understand their 'smart' rules to achieve this. Every time I open a file in a standard Browse dialog box or in Windows Explorer, it is often appears in view of evil with the incorrect sort order.

  Yiannis, Yes. Unlike a photo, a video, the file size is determined by the data rate. However, the data/flow isn't what determines quality, you need to consider in the codec you use.

  For example, a 50 Mbit/s, 720 x 480 H.264 file and a 50 Mbps DV (video only, forgetting the audio codecs) will be exactly the same size. but the H.264 file is going to be better because it's a step more coded with a better compression algorithm.

  Another factor that determines the size of the file is the frame rate. I'm not saying that you should drop your rate to save space, but know that if you save 2 files with the same exact settings, but we're 30 p or 25 p and the other is 50 p or 60 p, then the latter will be twice as large.

  I received some pictures that was thrown from a DVD in video TS file formats. I know there's a whole bunch of free converters out there, but I generally avoid them these days because more than one bit TAPI in the background that I'm not near my machines. However, I need to work with these files and I wonder if someone can tell me how to do PR or a converter that is reliable and do not put undesirable problems in the background?
