video on iMac
When I bring my Skype, I don't have a video symbol in the symbol bar. I have the last download. Thank you
The magic has arrived! This morning, Skype had left a message to download Adobe Flash Player. It worked perfectly. I'm smiling and have used Skype for two hours. There are some fragmentation of the image with the movement. It was the only concern
If I take 4K video on my iPhone 6s and import it on my iMac MacBook Pro 2010/2011 will be playing the video and watch as she lets say a new iMac 4 / 5K? iMovie and final cut PRO supports 4K video for editing right?
It will look like at its native resolution. On your Mac, the displayed video will be reduced as a result of your visible area onscreen. That does not mean the video will look terrible, but not so good that it would have on the 4 k or 5 k.
I'm watching a video on my iMac which is a recording of a meeting. The video was recorded as a MP4.webloc, I have on my desk. I use a 21.5 "iMac with OS X El Capital, processor 3.06 GHZ, memory 4 GB 1067 MHz. My version of iTunes is 12.3.3. When I drag into iTunes he calls a podcast, but I am unable to play. Can you help me?
This isn't a video; This is a link to a video. Make it slip into your web browser and save the video from there if possible; If you use Safari, Ctrl-click the video.
When I copy and paste videos on iMac photo to flash player they appear on the flash as photos instead of the video player.
Copy and paste videos stick preview. To record a video for an external drive using "file > export > export original...» »
Who will write a copy of the video on thumb drive.
- Internett--> modem (Cisco?) --> a/c Airport Extreme (latest high version)
- iMac, iPad, 2 x iPhones. iMac installed Beamer.
- Bedroom: AppleTV 3rd GEN rev A - hdmi--> LG TV (old). AirPlay ON, 'Apple TV room '. Connected to the local network of 5 GHz.
- Bedroom: AirportExpress 1st GEN 802.11 a/b/g N-Draft (last type of those that go right into the socket) with AirPlay - stereo--> stereo BOSE. AirPlay ON, 'room '. Connected to the local network of 5 GHz I also tried to connect 2.4 GHz network, no significant variation...
- Living room: AppleTV 4th Gen. - hdmi--> LG TV (new). AirPlay ON, "iTV."
Problem (abridged version)
Most of the time - but not every time - when I stream video + audio iMac to aTV and choose to listen to the audio portion of the aTV to a separate AExpress (which is connected to a better BOSE audio system), the movie will not play. Streaming both audio and video - and only - the aTV works perfectly, but then I have bad sound, since I use the TV's internal speakers. What is reasons for it? Tips to fix it?
Problem (full version)
Every time when I stream video and audio from large multimedia files (about 3-4 GB .mkv) of the iMac (Beamer) on the ATV to the room, I didn't encounter any problem. Buffering is fast (2-4) and there is no delay or other negative experience. Unfortunately, as with all flat TVs, the sound of the TV is poor. Since I have a BOSE sound system, placed around this TV, I like to use it for audio. As I do this is - after the streaming media file (Beamer) iMac to the bedroom aTV - pressing the Center "Select" button during 1 sec on the remote to display the "audio" preferences and select money "Chamber" (AExpress related to the BOSE sound system). In this way, I think that audio + video is streamed to the iMac on the ATV in the bedroom, and the sound is then broadcast the ATV to the AExpress. This is where the problem occurs. Sometimes it works very well, as today in the morning. No lag and everything works fine. But most of the time, after changing the preference "audio" in the sound stream for the BOSE, the beginning of the play symbol buffering becomes the symbol of the break and nothing happens. I hit play again and the symbol of the game / buffering symbol lights up for a few seconds, and then again to pause. She never starts.
The problem usually occurs with heavy multimedia files / large size 1080 p and 3-4 GB, not with the simplest 720 p files weighing about 1 to 2 GB. This makes me think it's a matter of WiFi capability. But if my WiFi network should not be able to manage that? I think that the apple TV in the bedroom and the AExpress uses the N standard, so it is the limiting factor. But if this interface should not be able to handle the traffic? Is it true that do what I do - separate the video and audio - use twice the network traffic?
I also want to mention that everything works perfectly at certain times, like this morning. Last night (12 h) it wouldn't work at all... Perhaps there are more traffic yesterday (Saturday) evening.
Questions (summarizes all Qs in text and some new)
- My network be able to handle the traffic encountered at the stream video + audio iMac to mountain BIKING in the room and streaming audio of ATV to AExpress at the same time?
- It is true that this configuration requires / use twice the network resources?
- Do you also think that my problem is caused by a network limited issue / the amount of data PR. second?
- I have a new (flat unit with power cord separate) Airport Express. This device manage more traffic and thus possibly resolve my problem?
- Other suggestions to solve my problem?
Sorry for long post, but I think that its better with much info little. Have a great Sunday =)
I think I can explain the reason for the problem... but I have little experience with sound problems... so you will need to figure out a work around.
The nature of wireless networks, it's to manage the stream very well... but they are much less good at the sensitive time of things like multimedia transmission continuously. In fact, if you want to stream multimedia content over wireless, it is preferable to use specialized units... no wifi. I have a 3D projector and home theater system that uses a special wireless link from Epson to the projector... It is amazing that it can handle the required data of 3D projection. It does so by using 60GHz or some these extremely high FREQ... and totally dedicated units... no wifi. In the end, we ran an HDMI cable in the wall... it was largest wireless but not could be started reliably. Wireless is simply not ready for the big time of streaming video high definition even when dedicated.
Wireless network adapter... It is wifi, can handle only one connection at a time and it time slices between clients. It's also half-duplex, so it can only send or receive... it can't do both at the same time.
On the other hand, modern interrrupteurs ethernet can stream to multiple devices at the same time. It can also handle send them and receive at the same time... That is to say in full duplex. This is why the networks ethernet much more suitable for media streaming wireless never can be.
As soon as you try to use double flow... even if it is audio (low bandwidth) and a video (broadband), you will cause huge delays to the video component. The video stream has literally if stop to give the time to the audio to catch up... you can immediately see where this will lead. Low resolution, it might work... but at high resolution, there is bandwidth inadequate considering the Division of time.
It would be much better to use the audio on the TV. Or check if the TV itself has audio output... that plug into the standard analog audio system RCA or it could even have out optical. Who will then provide a means by which the flow must not be split. My samsung smart TV offers you both.
The other solution probably won't be viable... execution of ethernet.
10.3.6 using I have a DVD with the video, I want to put it on my iMac, and then burn another DVD. I external drive and note that there are many "burn" command and the copy command, in the Finder, that they do not seem to work.
How to burn a DVD with video on iMac? No copy
Is the video DVD, you have a commercial or one that you created yourself? If it's a you have created yourself or not a commercial DVD put in the drive, launch utility disk, select the disk and create a disk image of it. Put in a blank DVD disc and burn the disk for the disk image.
Follow this workflow to help ensure the best DVD video qualty:
Burn to disc with disk utility to the slowest speed (2 x - 4 x) in order to ensure the best quality burn. Always use higher quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are recommended in these forums.
If the original disk is a commercial disk there DRM protection and you will not be able to copy it.
OK, the web site said 1 gig of video ram. iMac has 512 MB. the software still work? Thank you
I think that this requirement is to use the graphics acceleration that is new in Lightroom 6. I suspect that Lightroom works perfectly if you turn off the graphics acceleration. But I don't really know for sure.
You need to download the free 30-day trial and see for yourself.
At the end of 2015, I bought a 4th generation (32 GB) Apple TV and an iMac with OS X El Capitan 10.11.6
When I try to reflect my screen FRO my iMac to the TV using Apple TV video (playing through VLC) is nervous and rambling. I talked to Apple Support and they conclude that video game through VLC was the problem and VLC should perform updates to the new Apple TV. I was told that Quicktime was the only guarantee program to watch the video through, but a lot of file formats I have are not compatible with Quicktime. I know that Quicktime converts the files now, but sometimes they take forever and some files won't convert. Apple Support guy told me to another way to convert the files, but I don't remember what he says now! I did the latest VLC and am finding it's really frustrating because it was the reason why I bought the Apple TV in the first place. Any suggestions on a faster way to work around this problem? Thank you!
If you mirror your mac then the app vlc on the appletv no impact, it would even not be used or must be installed on the appletv
It works ok if you use vlc on the appletv?
mirror airplay works ok with another video to steam?
When air time and performance is compromised it is usually an interference of the network rather than a software problem, a
I am trying to download a video file of a local community TV show with band access of my grandchlidrens to I can post it on their site. I have done in the past with youtube and vimeo videos but won't have a chance with that.
Basically, I need to download the video file to my iMac, so I can upload it to YouTube the children channel.
Here is the link to the show:
Can someone help me? Or is it simply not feasible?
My iMac is a 2011.5 and I always use the Mountain Lion.
It seems not feasible. I have several tools for downloading videos, but they do not work on the page. In addition, the video does not seem to be cached to recover in this way.
I guess you could communicate with the station and see if they would make you a copy.
Cute children btw.
I want to export 3-8 hours long videos using Apple Compressor in 720 p, 3 per day.
I intend to use Final Cut Pro X.
Simple slide shows with music. Like this:
Mac Mini end of 2012: Processor: Core i7 clocked at 2.6 GHz; RAM: 16 GB; Video card:
HD 4000, 512 MB graphics card;
iMac plug end of 2015: Processor: Core i5 2.8 GHz; RAM: 16 GB; Video card:
IRIS Pro 6200, 1.7 GB;
The SSD is the same.
Thanks for your replies!
Download GeekBench and look over the results of tests to find out. Not enough information provided and without tests side by side of each configuration, it's almost an impossible question to answer definitively.
The SSD used by Apple in a Mini 2012 is not necessarily the same brand and model from the one used in an iMac of 2015. Then there is a dual-core or quad-core i7 in the Mini. iMacs usually had the quad-core processors, I think.
Opportunity on my iMac with Retina K 5 screen, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5), end of 2015 / 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5, I get the following message when you try to view videos on various sites, "this video is not encoded for your device.
Is not something specific to Safari (see screenshots), it also happens on Firefox and happens on the Web sites at random. I visit it more often - http://theberrics.com/ so I chose a video it, the intro advertisement plays very well when the actual content, and then begins the message appears.
My Macbook Pro on the same OS plays videos fine.
I've scoured the web and here but never find a solution or even a real hint as to why this is happening. Any wise software is 100% updated FYI.
Thanks in advance!
Try a reboot.
Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.
Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account. Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.
My family would like to connect his iMac 7.1 2.4 Ghz Core2Duo until his TV downstairs, and I was wondering if the displayport located on these iMacs can transmit video and audio through, if we were to get a displayport HDMI adapter. Thank you
The computer is about 10 years old, this vintage iMacs didn't have the ability to cross the Mini DVI audio & video port. The computer would need to discreet cables for audio and video.
Photos only displays videos to 2013 when there are videos iOS clear in 2010. When I try to re - import videos from my iMac, hard drive, I get a message saying that these videos are already imported, but I can't see them.
I don't know what it is but Photos only shows videos of courses on April 22, 2013. I have iOS videos of 2010 on my hard drive on my iMac, but cannot see them in the pictures. When I try re - import the photos in the hard drive gives me a message saying that they are already imported but asks if I would like to import again. If I import them once again, I can see them under import last but still do not see in all the pictures or videos. It is across all devices. I cannot see them on iMac Photos program, cannot see them on iCloud.com in pictures, can not see them in the pictures on any iPad (mini (3rd generation) or Air 2) or iPhone 6s.
Any help would be great.
Photos has a video album - what yu see in it?
When I shoot still photos on my iPhone 6 Plus, they automatically appear on my iMac under Aperture (via Shared > iCloud > My Photo Stream).
When I turn the video on my iPhone 6 more, I don't know where they're going. I checked iMovie; nothing.
My question: How can I wireless access videos iPhone-shot on my other devices, including my iMac?
ETA: I want pictures of the iPhone to download automatically and without you connect to iMac, I will travel and will not have access to the iMac.
They won't magically anywhere. You will need to connect the phone to your Mac and import them in 'Photos', or by using picture Capture. Once you have done this, you can do what you want with them.
I have an imac late 2009 27 "with an ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 MB video card. He made rare as small squares on the screen and stuff of course freeze everything. Sometimes when it starts, vertical lines if poster and nothing else can do. I have to restart the computer several times. I know that is the video card, how much would it cost to replace it in the apple store?
The computer is too old for Apple to watch. you will need to find a place to third party to look at.
