  I notice that there is a thumbnails db file in some of my folders containing video/photos while others do not.  Those who seem to have miniature views of video/photo pop up much faster than the others when we look at the extra large icons in windows Explorer.

  Is this faster thumbnail upload because the db file "thumbnails"?  If so how can I get this file created in all my photo and video files?

  Which popup you are referring to?

  Each time seen miniature is enabled or has been enabled in Microsoft Windows the hidden thumbs.db file is automatically created in the same directory than where thumbnails have been read. This file contains the information required by Windows to display thumbnails for each of the icons and will be placed in each model file are read. Thumbs.DB looks a lot like its name. It stores the graphics, the film and some document files, and then generates an overview of the content of file using a cache of thumbnails. This file can be deleted safely from any directory, however, it will be automatically recreated if thumbnail display is always on and you open this directory again. Thus, it is not related to upload faster thumbnail.

• videos photo recovery

  I use 6 Plus, 64 GB iPhone. (iOS9.3.3)

  Yesterday I took a lot of photos and videos to an event. I cut all the pictures and videos I took of this event, directly from my iPhone without any backup.

  Unfortunately, 90% of the videos and photos has corrupted after I cut out the my phone into my laptop...

  Is there anything that I can retrieve back the corrupt videos and photos please?

  Please explain exactly what you mean by

  And of course not having a backup is not recommended - unless you always have good backups you are always going to lose things

  without any backup

  So to help, we need to know exactly what you did and what you have - what makes exactly something that the pictures and videos are corrupt?

• Loading videos photos with date information incorrectly (1970-1-1)

  A day after the update my version of osx from Yosemite to El Capitan, when I import pictures from my camera, I find that the images are imported with the correct date information while the videos are not. I check the date of editing these videos which is correct, so I think that this problem has nothing to do with my camera.  Everything works fine when I use Yosemite also turns out at this point. So, how can I know it?

  The problem is, that the photos have EXIF tags with the date of capture, but the videos do not have this EXIF tag.

  Photos uses instead the creation date of the file.

  Use the command "Image > adjust date and time" in photos to change the date of your videos to the date of change.  This workaround is a lot of extra work, but right now there is no help for it.

  You can send comments to the bug report to Apple, that the creation date of the file is lost during import.  Comments - Photos - Apple

  Using iCloud photo library?  I saw the creation date changes when videos are synchronized with iCloud.

  After a recent update to Windows 7 I have a problem with the display of images in the Windows image viewer and watch netflix videos. I can look and onto my computer without problem. I can also display an image in paint.net or any other picture watching a program. I can watch Hulu or any other site of company of cable without problem. What is happening is that the image is overwritten and made black and white.

  So the first thing I tried was uninstall silverlight and then put it back. The next thing I tried was start in basic mode, uninstall all nvidia drivers, then reinstall the latest driver available. None of those corrected these problems. Strange thing is when I first start in basic mode and the resolution is 640 X 480 photos appeared normal in the Windows image viewer and when I try to watch a video on netflix seems normal. Only when I change the resolution to anything else he revert to the old diplay of a black and white display shrunk.

  For PC to iPhone: just sync it with iTunes.  Do you have iTunes installed on your computer? Please refer to this guide of synchronization:http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1351

  To transfer files from iPhone to computer, you can use the feature to transfer itunes purchases. But if you have non-achats on iPhone files, they will be deleted.

  I have a drive HARD Sony DCR-SR42, I transferred the videos and photos to my computer once, but there are some issues and I ended up having to delete everything I had imported. Now when I try to import the vids & photos new Autoplay is ONLY recognizing 'new' files and will not import the old files. I can't find the path to the old files so there is no reason for old files don't not to download. Please let me know if there is a setting I'm missing to get around this.

  Try the steps and check them off below if it helps:

  a. navigate to the Sub rental:

  C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Photo Acquisition\PreviouslyAcquired.db

  b. rename the folder PreviouslyAcquired.db PreviouslyAcquired.db.old

  c. rename, right-click on the folder and select Rename.

  d. restart the computer

  e. now try to import photos and check.

• Music, videos, photos are locked and access is STILL denied

  I know that many of these threads exist but I tried all the solutions listed in them and nothing works.

  I am an administrator on my laptop. There is only one account, mine. Suddenly, my music, my documents, my videos and my pictures are locked. There is a lock on each icon and when I click on it it is said "(FilePath) is not accessible." Access is denied. " I did not change any hardware or software recently.

  Here's what I've tried:
  -Restore default on all folders (I followed the steps here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-files/my-music-videos-pictures-etc-folders-are-locked/161848fe-bf6f-4496-bb5a-eec57a4f0229?tm=1318579192799)
  -Give me all permissions (following the steps described here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-security/why-is-my-music-etc-locked-in-the-pubilc-folder/62114412-59bc-48fa-a6ec-4ae9b0b5ae5e)
  -Double check that there are not any other accounts. It does not exist.

  When I go to properties/security for my user account, it tells me that all the accounts (I only have one account on my laptop, but my name; Everyone; and system appear) have all permissions.

  I tried to pass in user / all users and permissions of total following the steps to give everyone and I says that access is denied. It really starts to annoy me. It has been like this for weeks, and I can't access my files. Nothing I've done so far has worked (I even did a full system restore).

  Someone at - it any other ideas?

  If you go in Windows Explorer, and then under libraries, you should see Documents, music, photos and videos. You should be able to access files and folders listed there.

  However, if you scroll the users folders and to extend it, the folders for all users, the default user and your own file will show the lock on the file. It is the value by default or by design.

  If you go into your profile user (Alice) folder, then you can develop and see all of your files to the breast. You can open My Documents, my music and my pictures there and should not receive an access denied.

  If you have another user on the computer, you would not be able to access their profile folders unless you log in as this user or if you are logged on as administrator.

  Not sure if this will help.
  The best thing to do is to send us a screenshot of what you see with locks on files. In addition, please include a screenshot of when you click on the folder and the message access denied error.
