I - tunes convert the video into a format I-tune, so you might not be able to view them in media player, I suggest you to copy the files to your system directly from the camera again.

HelloSome audio and video file formats are not supported in Windows Movie Maker and cannot be imported. However, if you have a video or audio file that is not taken care of, you can use a non-Microsoft video editing software to convert the file into a format supported by Windows Movie Maker, and then import the video file or an audio resulting in Windows Movie Maker. Some files also require you to install a codec before you can use the files in Windows Movie Maker.Note: The use of third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Problem with the sync audio to video when you use Windows Movie Maker version 6.0
I have a HP Slimline Pavillion S.3220.uk PC, using Windows Vista Edition Home Premium. I have problems with the audio video synchronization when using Windows Movie Maker, version 6.0, I 'get' raw AVCHD files to .wmv using voltaic HD. I've noticed that the audio and video are out of sync, ONLY after the first thumbnail. No indirect problem with videos, but when people talk to the camera, in case of DISASTER, as he is out of sync. I tried to reduce the resolution of 720 p and 540 p, and no solution to the problem. Any thoughts on the matter please?
Hi Fabian119,
Today, there are hundreds of audio and video codecs in use. Some were created by Microsoft, but the vast majority of codecs have been created by other companies, organizations or individuals. By default, the Windows operating system and the player includes a number of the most popular codecs, such as MP3, Windows Media Audio and Windows Media Video.
There might be times, however, when you want to read the content that is compressed with a codec that does not include Windows or the default player (for example, a file compressed with the DivX video codec or the Ogg Vorbis audio codec). Because the player is extensible, in many cases you can download the necessary codec on the web for free or for a fee.
You can visit the following links for more information on codecs:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/codecs-frequently-asked-questions
You can also view the following link to download the audio file conversion programs and check if you can convert AVCHD to Mpeg.

Copy the VOB files to a folder on your hard drive, then
Convert it to .wmv format. Then you can import the
file .wmv in Movie Maker. The following freeware can convert:
(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)Format Factory
http://www.pcfreetime.com/
(FWIW... you can uncheck
all the boxes on the last screen)After downloading and installing Format Factory...
Open the program and choose an output folder...
(this is where you will find your files when they are
converted)Drag and drop your video clips on the
main screen...Select "At?" / OK...
(the? is the format of your choice)Click on... Beginning... in the toolbar...
That should do it...

Can you tell me where the codecs so that I can import the file I did in Windows DVD Maker in Windows Movie Maker?

Hi Bauer327,
iTunes music is in AAC format, which is not compatible with Windows media player. You may have to convert the format AAC to MP3 and then try to add it to windows media player.
ITunes music sometimes has DRM protection. You will need to remove the protection license, and then try with windows media player.

Loading a video from facebook to Windows Movie Maker
I tried to download a video from windows to facebook developer, but it gives an error message saying this is a bad image of facebook. But I can't save it as anything other than a wmlp. If I click on the facebook link in windows movie maker, it says that it cannot connect to facebook...
Thank youMarleneHi Marlene,
Thanks for posting this question in the Microsoft Community.
I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I'll certainly try and help you in the matter of fixing.
1. using Windows Movie Maker in Windows Live Movie Maker?
2 when was the last time you were able to download the videos?
3 did you a recent software or changes to the material on the computer?
. WLMP files aren't really movies, this is why you cannot view it with something else. A .wlmp is a film project file, it is essentially the "recipe" to create the final product.
I would also like to inform you that Facebook accept only certain types of file formats.
You just need a step more in Movie Maker, you must publish the movie, which will create the AVI or WMV file or whatever the format you choose. Then, you can download the files. Try it and tell us if it helps.
Through Facebook help page to learn more.
If the problem persists, you can also publish the query to the Movie Maker forum.
Hope this helps and let us know if you need help with Windows. We will be happy to help you.
